Charles Trippy Steals Shirt Designs

Do a quick Google Images search for "Virginia is for Lovers", the shirt SPoT is basing theirs off of. Based off what you said, SPoT is ripping off David N. Martin and George Woltz of Martin and Woltz Inc, the Virginia based company who came up with the original slogan, as well as Virginia Tourism Corp who own the trademark. I can assume with fair reason that SPoT did not seek permission from either company prior to making their shirts. OMG! So that would mean that they're scam artists OH NOES!!!

Furthermore, If you look at the SPoT website, you will notice that they no longer sell the shirts in question, thus, not making a profit. You even went so far as to point the year long delay between the CT shirts and the SPoT shirts. There isn't a copyright anywhere on that shirt (unless you consider the hearts) and even then, they changed the design for the CT shirts. Last time I checked, type arrangement cannot be copyrighted. Fonts can, but only by the creator of the actual font.

I wished I cared about CT enough to watch his stuff....or investigate him, BUT you've done a great deed this video. As an artist, I've had ONE idea stolen, within days, I owned all the the content and gave them away for free. If the originators are still around they are STILL entitled to their share of ANY / ALL profits collected by CT, by ripping off their design.
