This is a great Joe Cocker version.

Ringo(lead vocal on THE ORIGINAL 'With A Little Help From My Friends') has such a distinct voice and it never changes,he sounds just about the same today (at nearly 70) as he did with The Beatles.

Speaking again of Ringo's vocals, I'm very serious when I say many people have commented(literally)on my music video 'It's A Complicated World' that my singing sounds similar to Ringos!

Sounds like he's using an open-tuning, like D or G... with the capo on 2. From there he's just messing around on two different strings for the most part seems like.  Try that out.
