  • Is that not Judy Garland near the end of the film reading a book on the bench who returns to life (from stone)? If so, is it a lift from a scene from another film?

  • just because this isn't adored by the general public doesn't mean it's not a classic. it's actually masterpiece, but most people aren't smart enough to realise when they're watching it. heck even i didn't pick up on some of the clues until i read up on them.

  • I always loved this movie <3 the wheelers always freaked me out hehe

  • jim henson's son as jack pumpkinhead

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!! TICK TOCK FELL OVER!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!1 HAHAHAHAHAHHA I LOVE TICK TOCK!!! omg i am going to the video store today, i am gonna try find this movie!! i havent seen it since i was little!! i miss it!! but for some reason, this movie makes me feel....weird....like sad or scared or something. but anyway i love it lol!!

  • i remember this from when i was a kid always wanted to see it again

  • u know that there were books written after this one

where totto talks!!!! wow apparantly he didnt have anything to say before

i love wizard of oz :)

  • In Tiktok of Oz,right?

Well Billina,Jim and Eureka talk,so why not?

Dorothy says in Patchwork though that Toto dosnt need to talk b-cause she understands him perfectly

  • That was a novel experience wasnt It? LOL Loved the gump. Wish he Been in the book....He may have come in later

  • Pick me up! Pick me up! Pick me up! Pick me up! ..HAHAHAHA I love that!

  • This movie was my favorite I watched the first one but I really prefered this movie because it was more so adventurous then musical that was the only thing I held against the first one I just loved this version of the story of Oz...

  • i loved this movie when i was younger.. i have to buy it.

  • didnt know about this verson of wizard of oz

  • Suuuuuuuuuch a great movie.

  • Keep in mind also the second one is suppose to be her going BACK to oz after leaving. Wouldnt you think the little girl was crazy who didnt stop talking about lions and tigers and bears? Oh...my...

  • This version ROCKED ASS. So many memories.

  • i wont see this movie

  • The original was mostly done on the stages at MGM this one had a few locations, and I like both.

  • man I really love this version. I hated the first Wizard of Oz.

  • this is underated, and the moose should ov quit whist he was a head

  • Ha ha.

  • while the first IS a classic i must admit i like this movie a lot more

  • I dont think people should compare the 1st and 2nd film to eachother they are completely different. The 1st wizard of oz was a musical with painted backgrounds and this was telling a more complicated story and approached completely differently I love them both but people dont really need to decide which 1 is best

  • The 1st Wizard of Oz was heavily filtered from the original story. the 2nd movie (Return to Oz) was far FAR more 'true to the books' than the 1st movie.

  • This movie freaked me out so much when I was young. That said, it is better than the first for the simple fact that it is a good representation of Frank Baum's novels. The original movie had musical and whimsical elements that completely did a disservice to the story. The fact is, the series has a dark tone, and the movies should as well.

  • why d 2nd always awful than d 1st...???

  • This movie is so orginal..I will agree that it is not better than the first one but give it a chance..its a very good movie.

  • Judy Garland was the original actor in the wizard of oz, (Liza Minelli is her daughter),

dont forget the wiz starring diana ross and michael jackson (the black version of the wizard of oz) all three really great movies

  • Judy GARLAND was the actress who played Dorothy in the original Wizard of Oz movie, from 1939. I knew Gardner wasn't right and it was driving me nuts.

  • I remember this movie. The part with the heads screaming freaked me out when I was young.

  • This looks auful

  • I Agree. It looks like a cult sequel

  • Wait a min, I dont think I ever watched the whole movie but how is it that Dorothy is younger in this one than in the original, shouldn't she be older in this one?

  • This movie is based on the second and third Oz books. Ironically, while it is primarily based on the second books with elements of the third, Dorothy never appears in the Marvelous Land of Oz. She steps into the role filled by Tip in the second book.

And in the books, Dorothy never really gets beyond the age of fourteen or so, if one goes by the pictures.

  • its just the lack of appropriate actors, the original dorothy was play ed by judy gardner or whatver her name was, and shed be about 70 now lol hard to play that role at dat age

  • Judy Gardner died

  • YES!!!

  • Simply put, this one is based more on the books than the MGM one was, which is why the Deadly Desert and the Tin Man's origins are included. Dorothy's the right age, here, and has her personality from the books. The look of the film is based on the original book illustrations, and the tone is that of the books. The Judy Garland one removed the darker and more violent elements from the series.

  • tik tok is kawaiiiiii!i love him!

  • Fairuza Balk is hot!!! she gets allot of weird parts in movies now, but i wouldn't go so far as to consider her a freak...0o

  • oh i agree she is a hottie, but i guess what im trying to say is that she is typically cast in parts to where she plays a wild one

  • did you guys know that dorthy in this movie, is also that freaky chick from american history x, waterboy, and the craft.

  • Yeah, she rocks.

  • i remember this movie i used to watch it alot when i was little. the wheelers always creeped me the fuck out!

  • all round perfection.

  • the robot sticks in the snow like r2d2 did in 'return of the jedi'. just noticed it.

  • Tik-Tok is SO cuuuuuuuuuute. He's a mechanical clockwork army man, smart, charming and kicks major butt, but constantly needs to be wound up, and when he falls over, he has no way of getting himself up. Only way to get up is by asking for assistance: "Pick me up! Pick me up! Pick me up! Pick me up! Ohhhhhhhh. Thank you."

  • "I'm drunk. This is fucked up; I love it!"

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

  • this movie is kind of creepy

  • wow, I'm drunk too.... and this takes me back

  • Jack Pumpkinhead is performed and voiced by Brian Henson, the son of Jim Henson, who would go on to voice Hoggle in "Labyrinth" (1986).

  • I'm drunk. This is fucked up; I love it!

  • i'm stoned

  • me too.

i love this movie so much, i figured it would be just as great high and its true.

  • i love this movie!!
