  • Jesus, talk about breaking the fourth wall flawlessly. The ending was brilliant

  • Does Cleese say at 1:22 "this is the least fascinating conversation ive ever had?"

  • @TheUbinator yes, that's what I heard

  • But why the same comment twice?

  • "...and I'd like to conclude by putting my finger up my nose."

  • 36 people have a finger up their nose XD

  • I think they came up with the silliest sketch during recording this one.

  • Surely, being a Scot he will have whisky, whisky, whisky. Not whiskey.

  • @squintstheninja Don't worry, it gets better.

  • I'm always laughing at the wrong places! I started laughing as hell when he said. "Well I think I can answer this question more successfully in mime"! The fact that he is trying to mime out the answer instead of saying it crack me up!

  • @Faawl Are you kidding me? As soon as he said mime I start laughing my ass off too. There is no wrong place to laugh in Monty Python, it's all so silly it doesn't matter.

  • @schutzenhaus But why not Dorset?

  • @schutzenhaus which is unfair for the dorsetains,

  • @schutzenhaus The only possible answer is, "Why not Dorset?"

  • @schutzenhaus I thought it was obviously Dorset and I shall demonstrate this using 2 hampsters, a piece of cellophane and a banana.

  • is that english humour?

  • @namsle back in the 80's and 90's we realy didn't know what we were doing

  • @namsle no. but its a silly humour. watch their other sketches

  • @namsle It's international humour.

  • Here's what I want to know: was the scene-stopper actually scripted in or was it ad-libbed?

  • This is the silliest thing I've ever seen on YouTube.

  • @imjohnfreeman You sir, cannot say to this man that he is un-cultured.This is as you, in your previous comment, showed your dis-respect to many cultures exept your own.

I'd like to conclude by putting my finger up my nose.

  • @XNickdaninjaX why do you disrespect the true anglo-saxon white race, hypocritical nigger?

  • @imjohnfreeman first of you are a hypocrite yourself if you were so cultured you wouldn't be slinging around ignorant racial terms like that to start,i pity you. but im not going to argue with you or even try to hold a conversation with you because i can already see with what mind you have you couldn't comprehend the concept of humanity thus leaving us of having no medium of creating relative communication where we both could understand each other. fyi nigger by definition is ignorant, being u

  • @jsambition quiet uncultured slime

    white power 14/88

  • @imjohnfreeman just as i though, lol trolls make me laugh thank you for proving my opinion of you to be true thus not being being capable of having a normal conversation with someone outside your bubble of bigotry rendering you to be the "uncultured one" . now you have a nice blessed day and be careful with those big words god forbid you become educated and dare i say cultured?=)

    universal power 11/10

  • @jsambition youre not laughing youre raging like a madkid

  • @jsambition haha its funny because you make the assumption that my life revolves around occasionally checking my youtube comments inbetween other things to see if arrogant, gullible ponces are frustrated by what i say

    u mad?

  • @imjohnfreeman haha im still merrily enjoying this how annoyed with me wish you'd turn that frown upside down buddy ole pal. don't worrayyyy be happyyyyy=)

    >fun

the joke is that youre not laughing, and no amount of =) can make me think you find me anything but annoying, it's great; you feel completely obliged to respond, but for what?

  • @imjohnfreeman well as for the reply your so obviously expecting which i expect of you as well i should be asking the same question of why you feel so obligate to respond. here ill even answer first. first of i pitty you and see that you enjoy trolling me so im letting you do that to keep yourself entertained. second im totally bored and your entertain me as well. and third of im very curious of what you have to say. YOUR TURN!=)

  • @jsambition should we just quit the passive agressive bullshit and fuck rampantly or what

  • @XNickdaninjaX every part beyond thank you on the other comment was directed at imjohnfreeman aka the uncultured hypocritical bigot and i think i'll end this comment in mime=)

  • @XNickdaninjaX sorry for the excessive replies my youtube was glitching out as always and caused me to resend it multiple times.

  • this sketch resounds a lot in my head haha.

"I think I can answer this question most successfully in mime"

    "But Why Dorset?"

  • I find it scary how much Eric Idle looks or at least sounds like Jackie Stewart.

  • Monty Python: the god who traded his imortality for the funniest sense of humor ever known

  • This is the silliest Youtube board I've ever been in!

  • "Shall we stop it?"

  • wait--Monty Python understands the concept of Breaking the Fourth Wall?

  • @sousaphonist the fourth wall!! the (recently) untapped comic potential.

  • @sousaphonist Not, but Monty Python does it anyways.

  • But why Dorset?

  • Eric Idle as a Scotsman is kinda hot.

  • DORSET!!! No tt!

  • but why Dorsett? :)

  • ...but why Dorsett?

  • 0_o whiskey pudding?

  • @amohotepv "a whisky for pudding", i.e., for the sweet course of the meal, for afters, for dessert.

  • @GradStud28, yet whiskey-pudding sounds so insane it actually might work :)

  • @somberlight You mean like chocolate beer?

  • @asaguda, chocolate beer actually rocks btw, it exists xD

  • @somberlight The one I tasted was too bitter. :C

  • Comment removed

  • I Want Revenge! bit . ly/jerku

  • And I'll follow that with a whiskey for pudding.

  • Great Python this one. Get in with the jokes, then dont' hang around at the end, just get out ASAP!

  • One word:

    LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!

  • @MtheGate "lol" isn't a word. It's an abreviation.

  • @Ghostkano well actually its the dutch word for fun. so its a word and an abreviation

  • @myrioi And the dutch word for dick... Oh, how profound.

  • @Schleierkraut0 no the dutch word for dick is lul (u not o) or penis or piemel

  • @myrioi Everybody makes mistakes once in a while. And this was just a one-third-mistake. But thank you for this revealing lesson. ;)

  • @Ghostkano for what ?

  • Scots Git!

  • Nobody else could have come up with a sketch like that and pulled it off so well. It's perfection.

Do they break the fourth wall?? Who really knows. They're not quite characters or actors by the end.

  • I have, for a long time, been suffering from a species of brain injury which I incurred during the rigors of child birth.

  • Football is going to the dogs. Jimmy Buzzard is opening a boutique.

    Stewart

  • "Mr Badger, I think you are the silliest person we've ever had on this program, so I'm going to ask you to have dinner with me."

    XD

  • this is why i like Monty Python. Its the only show that knows its stupid/silly and accepts that fact. When i was a kid my dad would put all this British comedy shows and Python was the only one i laughed at, not cause i got it but it was just plain silly

  • This is one of the sketches that makes me think that the Kids in the Hall are very Monty Python-esque.

  • Kids in the Hall suck and can't hold a candle to Monty Python.

  • I love this type of comedy; it's the easiest and most fun to write. Especially the endings, where instead of a punch line they either drag it on horribly or they cut it off with vikings singing. XD

  • I wonder if I should show this to my year 5 students for our unit on questioning techniques. . .
