Hi i'm thinking of getting the C-1 STUDIO CONDENSER MICROPHONE but not sure yet as I will use it for my instruments and vocal's is the mic clean? I have line6 tone port UX2 and will be using this as my sound card this will record and btw does it come with a cable or do i need to buy them separately as i would like to use phantom power.
I've never bought a mic b4 which is why I'm asking all those Q's
For an overhead, yes they're great and two would give a nice stereo spread. But for closerange kickdrum stuff you'd definitely want to go dynamic instead.
The Studio Projects C1 mic is plugged into the DMP3 mic preamp into the computer. The previous poster asked if i was using an onboard mic in the Gibson. The endpin is routed for one, but currently none of my guitars has a mic installed. And there is a delay between vid and sound because i was getting tired of the crap sound of the onboard portable camera mic. If you doubt that this is me playing, check out my other videos, including the ones i use the crappy vidcam mic for.
how are yo uliking the dmp3? im tryign to decide on a "decent" pre amp thinknig of the dmp3 or the fast track pro..mainly just gonna use it for vocals =)
Actually you can since it already is set up for an onboard mic. But I'm at home so no need to plug in - get a more natural sound just acoustically and micing away.
i've listened to every video of c1 on guitar on the web yours is the only one that sounds good

That's one sexy sounding guitar. All your recordings are amazing -- you sell that C-1 well with that Gibson!

Yes I use it for vocals too and it's nice and clean. You will have to get a new mic cable for it with xlr ends.

Its hard to order this mic into belgium on the minimum price of 120 dollars...

you could buy two, for a nice X-Y axis stereo ambience setup!

Is the mic able to record drums? In that case I would buy two of them...

Why isn't the mic plugged in? Looks like a C1 mic..
And who really is playing it... Your hand and fingers are not moving with the playing that I'm hearing.

Plug the 1/4 mono plug from the DMP3 into the "line in" of your soundcard - you may need a miniplug to 1/4 adapter.
