With the Kinect games they had a great time and most of them were PS3 users who had the PS3 Move. And guess what they all admitted, that the Kinect was way better. Sony's Richard Marks did superb work investigating different ways to interact with EyeToy using solid objects like balls and sticks, and some of that tech is used in Move today (ball tracking), but there was never a motion sensing wand. The motion sensing Move wand came about after Sony saw the Wii mote, they then realised they can use their EyeToy tech and combine it with a wand to create Move.

@Deftone124 - Actually it was Gyration, a company who made motion sensing products since the 90s. A few guys from Gyration believed their tech would be good for consoles, so they designed a (break apart) motion sensing controller, pitched it to Nintendo (who loved it) and together they redesigned it to create the Wii :) They briefly mention it on their website gyration(.)com (click on 'About Us' then 'History').
Also google: 'gizmodo gyration prototype', and read the few two links. :)

@starwind3438 here's a history lesson for ya. There were early attempts for motion tracking gaming in the 80s and 90s. Not Nintendo or Sony. Much later SONY released the eye toy for PS2, and soon after began work on the move. Meanwhile, the Wii was released. Then, SONY finally released their newer version. Microsoft decided to join the party with the Kinnect. So, basically everyone copied off a company called Amiga.

@bobseat5 there is a plug in for the move (which i suppose comes with the actual controler) that serves kind of like the wiimote's nunchuk, it has an analog stick, and the standard arrow control pad. I wish i could send a link to the photo here but youtube will mark it as spam, anyway google "playstation move controler" and you should be able to find the picture im talking about.

Yes the Move is like the Wii controller but I have had the chance to play it and i think that it is amazing. You actually need to have form when play. For the golf game if you turn your wrist at all you will slice or hook the ball. I think it is better than the Wii...THis is my opinion

Sony sucks. They can't think of anything original. Take the Gaystation Move for example. They copied the idea from Nintendo.

@Deftone124 - Actually it was Gyration, a company who made motion sensing products since the 90s. A few guys from Gyration believed their tech would be good for consoles, so they designed a (break apart) motion sensing controller, pitched it to Nintendo (who loved it) and together they redesigned it to create the Wii :) They briefly mention it on their website gyration(.)com (click on 'About Us' then 'History').
Also google: 'gizmodo gyration prototype', and read the few two links. :)

@starwind3438 here's a history lesson for ya. There were early attempts for motion tracking gaming in the 80s and 90s. Not Nintendo or Sony. Much later SONY released the eye toy for PS2, and soon after began work on the move. Meanwhile, the Wii was released. Then, SONY finally released their newer version. Microsoft decided to join the party with the Kinnect. So, basically everyone copied off a company called Amiga.

@bobseat5 there is a plug in for the move (which i suppose comes with the actual controler) that serves kind of like the wiimote's nunchuk, it has an analog stick, and the standard arrow control pad. I wish i could send a link to the photo here but youtube will mark it as spam, anyway google "playstation move controler" and you should be able to find the picture im talking about.

2 good 2 be true lbp. the best creation game of all time mixing with the latest in motion technology! epic. the playstation move has been made to respond much more easily then the wii and its response timing is impecably great. i remmember the days when id be playin n64 XD those days r now f in over. dont buy kinect ive seen a little bit of it... lags.recalibration problems. and especially lack of games possible they released this tech too early

NINTENDO is entitled to a large pay cut from SONY & MICROSOFTS new inventions-Kentic (whatever) & Playstation MOVE- because its NINTENDOS idea. Boycott and buy a NINTENDO WII. I don't want to lay in bed a flashlight for hours, when its so convenient to just use CONTROLLER. SONY & MICROSOFT are losing their focus for what gamer are looking for. I don't want a damn flashlight to play SOCOM 4, or little Big Planet,etc; its all show.

Isn't this ironic? Nintendo dedicates an entire new gaming system to motion control, Sony copies the idea, makes its own version and the entire thing is a million times better than the Wii while it is just an addition to the PS3..

Yes the Move is like the Wii controller but I have had the chance to play it and i think that it is amazing. You actually need to have form when play. For the golf game if you turn your wrist at all you will slice or hook the ball. I think it is better than the Wii...THis is my opinion
