  • Awesome vid bro! If I had 25K and nothing better to do with it an MG42 would be on the top of the list!

  • @SpencerAK74M Well Spence, it wasn't as if I just had $25K burning a hole in my pocket when I started. The opportunity to buy one came along, and I busted my hump working to pay it off after purchasing it. You see, you don't just go BUY one with money you already have, you work until you have enough to purchase one. You have to make a disciplined effort to save for one. If I just had the $25K already, it would probably have been spent on the house or a car, like most people choose to spend.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS All valid points... I was just saying right now as of this moment. Lol

  • @SpencerAK74M And you know, IT WAS WELL WORTH IT!

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS If you want one, you should start saving NOW. The prices are at the lowest they will get. I know it's not easy to save up for a machine gun (I've done it THREE times!).

  • Somewhat discomforting watching americans i Wehrmacht uniforms toying around with Mg42s etc. I can understand the fascination about the weaponry, (have used them myself- in service in the norwegian army) but this fancy dress show.... for us in "the old world" it is quite ridiculous.

  • @Ahuxley68 We have this thing called World War Two Reenacting here... Perhaps you've heard of it?

  • Looks like that thing's got a heck of a recoil...

  • @skrivbok It's more of a hard, rattling push. It doesn't slam you really hard like a high power rifle or shotgun. It does take strength to control. Once you get used to it, it's not so bad.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS Oh, I see... would be really interesting to try firing an old weapon like that... :P

  • Company of heroes ! :P

  • Awesome video, very educational. I really want to try to fire a MG-42 like this now! :D

  • The german engineers made this gun for everything. Assault, defense, airplanes, tanks, bikes, FOR EVERYTHING.

Stop telling that this machine gun is only for defense.

  • @Fatalbiscuit LEARN HOW TO READ ENGLISH. It was stated that this method of using the gun was mainly for repositioning the gun as a defensive maneuver. NO ONE was foolish enough to say that the MG-42 was not capable of being used offensively.

  • welcome to hell!!!

  • I don't see how you couldn't assault with it, I've advanced firing a M240B and that bitch is heavy as fuck

  • @ScribeTheGrey This is not meant for offensive assault. It's really for moving to safety while UNDER assault.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS no, it can be used in an assualt move, I've done it, true you lose accuracy, however if the need is for supressive fire, aim doesn't matter

  • @ScribeTheGrey My point is that It's not common practice. You only do it if circumstances demand it. Moving with a 26 pound gun while firing for more than 50 yards is a truly exhausting task. Usually it was for moving the machinegun to a safer location while under fire or being immediately threatened with extermination.

  • done that! didn't hit shit.

  • @FrekeOne A little practice and you will. It's fun.

  • I was reading on your page that your a world war 2 reenactor, What unit are you from?

  • @Punisher7654 I'm not attached to any particular unit. I usually portray a Wehrmacht Obergefreiter.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS Thats cool, I'm from the 5th gebirgsjager.

  • cool

  • alles gutt ...

  • cool alles gut

  • hip fire with an mg42... respect...

  • ja man so geht das!!

  • hahaha a german with an mg 42 driving a golf

  • @diontje4life Driving a what ?

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS a VW GOLF (german car)

  • @200Blackwolf I was the one shooting the MG-42, and I do not own a VW Golf. That was someone else's car.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS that you have to say diontje4life

  • hahaha a german with an mg42 driving a golf

  • Great video showing the incredible MG-42. Why in this video and others that I have seen does it seem like the rate of fire slows just a bit on the same gun? I know that the rate of fire on the 42 is controlled by the weight of the bolt. But it seems a bit faster in the first part showing a bad stance.

  • @fatrat440 The fire rate can be changed by inserting different weight bolt assemblies.

  • @ComodoKid: Yep, it did jam often, was terribly sensible to sand, water, sludge or any other kind of dirt and was basically too fast to make "good" use of the amo it threw out. My father always envied the Russians who had slower weapons, but you could throw them in a puddle, jump on it, bury it in a sand heap and still use it. But the guy is too fat to represent a German soldier in WWII. Rations were not that generous....

  • I could aim but vith zis thing I dont have too!

  • @RLDragonStrider Um, yes you do.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS

    I was being metaphorical >_>

  • @RLDragonStrider Oh...

  • I like the uniform, I like the weapon, I like the video and I like you.

  • @scassidy0526 Why don't you fire it yourself from your shoulder, mr. Chuck Norris?!?!?!?

  • Ah way to win the WAR!

  • you know the germans make good stuff

  • @scassidy0526 have u ever fired a machine gun that heavy? gun-virgin? lol jk

but srsly have u ever fired a gun?

  • Very interesting for spray fire. Just one thing; was the Wehrmacht uniform a necessity for this video? Also, would it jam easily with a skewed belt in this position?

  • @Komodokid57 Does the uniform piss you off even though it's for historical reenactment purposes? If so, please go elsewhere. To answer your question, the belt is rolled into a drum so it feeds properly and does not need support to keep the feed angle horizontal. The empty portion of the belt spills out the right side, and you don't need to worry about that portion.

  • @scassidy0526 Yeah whatever...

  • the fear of american soldiers

  • it´s never an Assault Rifle it´s an Machine gun.

  • @Marcel18ist When fire like this, it's not MEANT to be used as an assault rifle. See my other posts...

  • @Marcel18ist Notice how the video says assault fire and not assualt rifle.

  • love the mg42 it has power 8mm

  • It is retard

  • @SupaSexiiBitch Hello retard! welcome to my cool youtube video!

  • @SupaSexiiBitch Hello retard. Learn to make a proper sentence you SupaStupidBitch.

  • I think the MG42 is more a LMG than an assault rifle

  • @1337bommel nobody said that it is an assault rifle. it just says "assault fire". its for an assault when u want the enemy to keep its head down.

  • @tropicthunder332 Actually it is a desperate means of keeping the enemy at bay while you and your machine gun crew retreat to a safer position. You only use assault fire when your machine gun crew is lacking protection from fellow riflemen and you need to move the machine gun. It's really not for offensive purposes, but for defensive ones.

  • @1337bommel No one said it was an assault rifle...

  • @SkadTheReaper So speaks another video gamer...

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS Yup,I play some games from time to time, whats about that then ? :D

  • @SkadTheReaper My point was that your statement was not accurate, presumably because you know nothing about these guns and just play video games.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS I just made a simple little joke, but i see some people dont know about it,well if you think i dont know nothing about guns,I let you think that,Im not gonna argue now.Cya

  • how can you even say an mg42 is an assault rifle. And you wouldnt need that stance with an assault rifle

  • @xxpetey454xx Sturmfeurer is what the Germans called using the machinegun in this manner. If you have a problem with that, please go find the Fuhrer yourself and tell him.

  • @sidewinderairsoft You sound like the voice of airsoft and COD fanboy experience.

  • das beste MG der Welt das MG3/MG42^^ nice

  • das beste MG der Welt das MG3/MG42^^ nice

  • is a MG-42 Light Machine Gun ?

  • @skinjamf Yes, when use don a bipod. If you put it on a tripod, it is classified as a heavy machine gun.

  • @skinjamf it fires 1200 bullets for minute.

  • @giftedkidrules They do, search MG3

  • I have a question - Say if you were firing the 42 whilst laid prone in a cold environment with snow on the ground, could you remove the hot barrel and partially bury it in the snow to cool it down, or would that make it unsafe to fire again afterwards? Thanks in advance.

  • @TaZ101SAGA That depends on how hot the barrel was. Putting a red hot barrel in cold snow could possible bend it very slightly and make it less accurate, but it would be safe to use. Firing a barrel for too long and getting it to hot makes the rifling start to wear out really fast, so it's important to change barrels out before they get too hot.

  • @giftedkidrules They do, unfortunately the MG3 (MG42 in 7.62x51) will be replaced in 2012 with some 5.56mm SAW, MG4 I think, which is completely unecessary, the MG3 is just as effective now as the 42 family always has been.

  • We need this man at the U.S Mexican border problem solved

  • @giftedkidrules It was used by the most evilest war machine the world had ever seen

  • Perhaps the best machine gun ever made

  • quieroooooo tener una yaaaaaaaaa!!!

  • @giftedkidrules They do; the Bundeswehr & a few other armies use the MG-3- which is essentially an MG42 that fires 7.62 NATO. It still has the same high rate of fire. In fact, the FN MAG58 is based on the MG42.

  • That gun is terrifying.

  • You guys have lots of great firearms. I haven't seen one of these fired on full auto before. Thanks for the great video.

  • not an assault rifle it a light machine gun

  • @theTNoutdoorsman98 you mean heavy machine gun

  • @theTNoutdoorsman98 No one said it was an assault rifle? It says "Assault fire", learn to read.

  • How did they louse the war? that gun is soo bad ass

  • @TheAkm74u German industry couldn't produce these guns in sufficient numbers, and some of these amazing weapons appeared when germany began to lose.

  • @bombarderoazul best weapons were invented after 1942 (MG 42, Stg44, G43 and so on) and that was the time when the 3rd Reich started to break down. But Germany had the industry till the Allies could bomb most of the production sites, which caused the German industry to produce weapons with lower qualitiy. But while the war advanced the weapons of Germany became better and better, and I think German only lost WW2 (at least like they did) because they had declared war to Russia and USA,

  • How did you even get that uniform:O

  • Ahhh a weekend warrior I see. lol

  • Do you really have to dress like german in order to shoot those guns lol ?

  • Yeah! Shot those damn nazi zombies!

  • @2650gullov Why would a Nazi soldier shoot others? ;-)

  • Hmm. With the right stance and training a GPMG turned useful in CQB. Nice.

  • Dude shooting the MG-42 is huge.

  • damn

  • this guys ready for world war three!

  • Mg 42 isint 3 round burst

  • @corybrad95 Actually. Tapping the trigger on an MG42 does produce a burst of about three rounds with a light bolt. And that wasn't a three round burst my friend. With the rate of fire, that gun was probably shooting around 10 rounds each burst... at least. :)

  • @PaulGibson100

with the capabillity of 1500 rounds a minute, just try to make a 3 round burst with that M42,besides this isnt a M4 or M16 on which a burst fire is counted with 3 rounds, besides like the name says ,burst ,not single shot or continous fire, its a burst of fire, how many rounds you shoot doesnt really matter, especialy with a M42

  • Youre my hero :D

  • Did that with it´s successor, the MG3, during my time in the german army.

I got inspired by this video actually, since I saw it before I joined, and since the supervisor on the range almost got me killed, he owed me, plus, I had the exercise we were shooting on gold 3 times already.

It was glorious, I just hit one target out of 4 tho...got a little carried away and I only had 15 rounds at the moment (due to the current exercise only needing 15), but fun none the less.

  • i want this uniform i have money

  • srry dude now way im gonna tel you that if you cant even take an reaction!

  • what the fuck why stop firing? blow all the fuckin' rounds through it!

  • @pR05t0 Why stop firing? Because I want to actually hit what I am aiming at. Have you EVER fired a gun before? Obviously not.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS this was not the point. i wanted to see a 42 firing like rambo does; if you wanna hit something with that you have to lay down

  • @pR05t0 Really? I was shooting like that, AND hitting what I was aiming at. The point was to hit the target (which I did with every burst), not to impress Rambo fans. How about YOU go spend $30K and show us all how YOU like it done? Then we can all sing your praises and tell you how much you look like "Rambo".

(Geezes! Where do these guys come from?)

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS i am not interested in what you're firing at, but in watching the weapon fired in surpressing fire mode! if you want to show off with your aiming skills, then make a video where people can see the target.

Is my english so fuckin' bad that you aren't able to understand me?

  • @pR05t0

You can only rambo with faulty american and belgium machineguns, who fire so slow you can actually control the recoil. This thing will flat out knock you off target or even on your ass, and you´d be spraying bullets anywhere. (if you say "well, let go of the trigger!", try doing something intentionally while falling over or being shocked.)

Also, this video shows an ACTUAL technique, AS TRAINED! Bet nobody in the Army teaches you how to One Hand the M60 like Rambo...

  • Hitlersäge..jeah wie geil!!

  • Hitlersäge :) jeah wie geil!!!!

  • Even though it's not easy doing this, you've got to admit that this is much more fun!

  • We Americans think the nazi's were bastards but we also think their uniforms and guns are fucking cool

  • That's one Donnerwetter on the range :D

  • sturmfeuer literally translates into "Storm Fire" or in English "Fire Storm" , not Assault Fire.

  • @Bandanabandito1 its still the same thing, to storm something is the same as assaulting something. (StuG) "sturmgeshutz" assault gun, "sturmgewehr stg44" first ASSAULT rifle

  • @Bandanabandito1

you are wrong. sturmfeuer is assault fire, because STURM in that case translates to ASSAULT, in german.

  • Hey! i really likes ur videos, good wehrmacht uniform! good weapons! and i think, good people hehe.

  • Hey! i really likes ur videos, good wehrmacht uniform! good weapons! and i think, good people hehe. where u from?

  • @labibi120 I'm from Minnesota. And myself and my friends are VERY good people who like collecting acn shooting old guns. Some of us are soldiers, cops, and a working class folks from tradesmen to professionals. We all get together once a year to have some fun with our guns.

  • dude without the nazi's we dint had assultrifles now man they are not good but smart ass aan nerd stg44 is the first ever assoult rifle and one of the most efficient of the whole war the b.a.r is no assultrifle but an lmg

  • @maxhaha123 Seriously.. HOW OLD ARE YOU?

  • Why skulls? Why not rainbows or hearts or 4 leaf clovers, maybe a unicorn.

  • @mccarrpo

Because the WaffenSS was ideologically formed after the Prussian Hussars ( light cavalery).

The "Leib-Husaren-Regimenter" were known to wear the Vanitas on their helmets (i.e. Skull & Crossbones) and were called "Totenkopfhusaren". Prussias top elite and best trained fighters. Mostly of aristocratic descent.

As this was an elitist unit in the 19th-century, there is no doubt in my mind, that the Vanitas symbols have

a masonic, even illuminist fraternity background.

  • @d0dge25 WAY Off topic dood.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS

I'm sure I know the history of my country ... dood ;)

You should better check the connection of the consolidation of power in Germany after the

Reichstag-fire. Which will bring you back to Prussia and ultimately to Friedrich II. who was what ... a Mason, Lodge Master, Patron of all Prussian Lodges and a huge supporter of the brand new rite of Illuminism out of Inglostadt.

Do your homework on symbolism ! The NSDAP was big into that.

  • @d0dge25 honestly your an idiot

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS let the knowledge flow friend! :-)

  • @d0dge25 you are actually an absolute total and complete... idiot

  • @d0dge25 SS stands for what?

  • @d0dge25 If you are saying the SS was formed from ideas of the Prussian Hussars you maybe right, but the Schutzstaffel was originally formed to protect hitler and the nazi party, the Waffen SS was simply a military version trained better than the Heer or Fallschirmjager, and called in when the regular Wehrmacht retreated.

  • @1971Chevelle502

Even Waffen SS retreated. There were only assigned the toughest battle assignments because they were the toughest soldiers. They wouldn't necessarily be called in if the Wermacht retreated. There were sometimes right there when the Wermacht didn't retreat or were given hot combat assignments. They were assigned specific battle sectors in the sector. They were a part of the German Army. They fought alongside the Wermacht in many battles, actually.

  • @Patchman123 when i said the don't retreat i meant they're taught that, every man has a a breaking point to run from battle and to know when to leave or stay and fight. And yes they did fight along side Wehrmacht. They were basically the same just better trained and better equipped. Even though they committed horrors, I still like them and respect them

  • @mccarrpo Are we the Baddies ? :)

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS yes we are buddies.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS Yes... I thought that was already well known...

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS nah there's always the guys marching under the banner of a rat's anus. *they* are the baddies xD

  • @championofcathay I'd feel better if we were marching under the banner if a rat's anus... :)

  • @mccarrpo or a tiny cute leppreucaun

  • @mccarrpo a rats annus...

  • That's fucking crazy! haha! That's like shooting 10 Kar.98ks at once! (They fire the same round)

  • Isn't this machine gun supposed to be set on ground for better aiming?

  • @HellenicFinix Of course it is. This is just a demonstration of a very unconventional way the gun can be used.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS oh, ok then. by the way nice video.

  • good old fashioned red blooded Americans with Nazi memorabilia ??????

  • @sikkwill Yeah.. we are called MILITARY HISTORIANS and COLLECTORS. Deal with it. If you don't my patriotism or commitment to FREEDOM, read my profile.

  • Nice uniforms !

  • Zerr GERMANS!

  • I love your uniforms. Where are you? Are you shooting in the everglades?

  • @jt62796 it's called hitler's buzz saw because of the sound it makes. The high rate of fire makes it hard to distinguish individual shots, making it sound somewhat like a very loud saw...

  • from the far it almost looked like type64

  • @dawnmaster96 it's actually a general purpose machinegun (gpmg)

  • is this real footage of the war???

  • @pacora24 if u look at 0:30 u can see 2 lawnmowers

  • this is an LMG = Light Machine Gun not an assault rifle.......

  • @dawnmaster96 So, and when you are on the move, assaulting a position, the MG Gunner is not allowed to fire to save his life?

  • ww2 animal mother lolz

  • Holy crap that must weigh a TON

  • Rofl, the belt fell out in the end

  • @hiimbored9000 IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO THAT. Please go buy a clue.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS

Aww, he's probably from the MW2 generation, give him some slack in his lack of knowledge, MW2 can only teach you so much.

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS

Whoa man, he's just pointing something out, take it down a notch.

It's not like he said "Rofl, the belt fell out in the end as a result of your stupidity and inexperience with firearms."

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS Hi Im A WWII Expert LULZ So Im Going To Tell You Some Random Facts. THE MG42 HAS A RATE OF FIRE AT 1200 ROUNDS PER MINUITE.

THE RANGE ON THE MG42 IS 1100 YDS.ALSO THE AMERICANS CALLED IT HITLERS BUZZ SAW.And I Like Your Outfits, You Dont Happen To Have American Weapons And Outfits Do You?

  • @DARIVSARCHITECTVS

    Nice vids mate :)
