how hard was the swap im currently wanting to do the ecotec swap in a 97 cavalier and was wondering how much different it was then the 00+ any help would be great thanks

@Ricozero i kno a ecotech swap is a lot more work then youd think as far as youd need the transmission gas tank every hose and wire you could think of

@coreyp12345 i know this i am a member of jbody and have studied on how to do it you would also need the cvs, bcm, wiring harnass, gas tank, lines, mounts, 00+ dash due to a bigger cluster, 00+ cluster, and engine and transmission mounts, im already tackling the swap its in the process but thanks for your comment tho it was a little late very informative for me for proving what i already knew

@coreyp12345 right on im known as ricozero there too i have the fastest n/a 2.2 ohv cavalier in the states as of current and i thought of the 3.4 swap also i just didnt feel like using a megasquirt 2 like sho off but let me know how that 3400 swap turns out btw

@Ricozero how much hp do u have? my bud alex has a 96 n/a cavy that has 245 hp and yes i have seen the dyno sheet, and from what ive seen on ur youtube page i doubt that u r the fastest 2.2 in the states

@boger11b and the video is called........ and mine is pretty much built up as far as it can go n/a its bored .040 over it has a stage one import performance parts cam it has 3mm o/s valves, comp cam valve springs, titanium retainers, 10.5:1 wiseco pistons, stock crank, top feed injector conversion, i do lack a header at the moment, but i would like to see his build also

hmm well never herd of a mild crank in cavaliers or any car for that matter steel cranks are lighter and turn more rpms but not mild cranks and i have an exhaust on mine a 2 1/2 in piping with an areo 3in cat with a flowmaster 40 series
