  • I warned imbeciles 13 years ago NOT to go to college - they laughed at me - now look at them! No job AND IN DEBT! I started a company after highschool with no debt and watch those who laughed at me then SUFFER NOW! Nothing in life is free - thats what BORROWERS always learn the HARD WAY!

  • Frankly, I have NO idea how any of us are limping along at this point. Credit card debts - high mortgages, frozen wages, unemployment, no living wage jobs for former blue-collar workers. We have a huge surplus of people with no jobs, and no options for small business due to an unfair playing field with slave labor from China flooding this country with clothes, toys, and all the other daily things we use. What will happen to all of these people? How long can they scrape along?

  • Folks on here saying she should have majored in this that or the other thing (the most popular choices now are chemistry biology and anything medical). Problem with that is this: If EVERY college student rushed into THOSE fields, do you think there might then be a surplus of those..? And why are we all rushing about trying to please a handful of corrupt corps. in the hopes of getting our meagre wages? Heres the deal. They dismantled our manufacturing base and shipped it overseas. Period.

  • I feel for these students, but how do you accumulate such debt? You knew how much you were borrowing, and I assume, understood you'd have to pay it back. If you borrow such amounts, even a good paying job would require several years before you could pay this debt off. Students need money management courses, not more student loan money.

  • @turkydog bet behing all this sad students someone in sallie mae is watching this and getting giggles over this....capitalism is ruining our country. Americans wake up!!! Corporations rule

  • I am also in a similar boat with a BS in accounting with lack of experience as the main problem. It's extremenly frustrating!!!

  • I'm just curious, who held a gun to your head and told you you had to go to college? Was it the same person that forced you to sign the loan papers? I don't have any issues with a loan company charging penalties for non-payment, in fact, $150.00 seems entirely reasonable. What's your degree in?

  • Glad I dropped out of College I only have to pay a small loan since I went to a Community College but I feel for my Bro whos in a University and when he graduates hes screwed unless he can find a job. I know I cant get a job anywhere I've literally just given up.

  • @TheCajunGambit1 what do you major in?

  • @HerresKoolaid I wasn't majoring in anything when I was in College I was just trying to get my Associates Degree by just taking General classes like English, Math, Science and History. But things didn't work out because I suck at Math which was required to get a Associates Degree so I dropped out of College just because of one class Math! I passed everything else fine though.

  • be debt free at graduation . . . it's possible, take control of your career before graduation.

  • A diploma has never been a guarantee for a job. Going to college is an option, and there are many ways to pay for it. If you borrow money for school, try getting a degree that will make you a desirable employee. WTF are you going to do with a Master's Degree in Geography?

  • @techmeltz77 She can't do anything with her Master's Degree in Geography. Ever seen the job ads? None of them want geographers. They all want engineers, health care workers, teachers, care givers, and all types of blue collar jobs. Geography is the fast track to nowhere. If someone isn't bright enough to figure this out, they aren't bright enough to work at any type of job.

  • WTF were you thinking when you signed up for college? Did you think it would be free? And remember no one made you go to college STFU and do what you have to do.

  • @xp68 The thing to do is bring down satan's banker gangsters and their evil usury!!!!

  • @xp68 Not as easy as you make it sound to be. A lot of students were PUSHED to go to college since practically middle school and given no alternatives. "You HAVE to go to college" was the constant bombardment so yes many felt like they had to go to college. Also many councilors would assure students that loans are worth it sometimes no matter what. Plus right now college isn't exactly an "option", it's a necessity for many positions even those that used to not require it.

  • @dochokeana What we need to do is invest and save for our kids...............Seriously. And not to offend anyone out their but....a masters in geography is virtually useless now. She should have done something like biology, chemistry

  • @HerresKoolaid No offense but invest into what? It's been shown time and time again that the traditional routes aren't stable (stock market crashes, real estate depreciates etc...) whenever it's followed by masses and non-traditional (such as education, medicine etc...) aren't popular because of general "what's in it for me/where's the immediate profit" attitude.

  • @HerresKoolaid Continued...Someone needs to be creating something in order for investments to be sound but when someone tries they get infested with paper pushers who send a general message that if you work to create something "you're a loser" and that where's a shortcut to Paradise by simply being a parasite. A crowd then goes and does just that believing it to be a recipe for success, most of them loose out and a few win try to lure more people into it to get wealthier.

  • Phew. I'm glad I'm not one of the masses that's dealing with this. In addition to running my own small business I worked a second job for two years and saved every penny from it and am putting myself through college and will graduate with no debt and lots of savings left over. There are so many options out there that make avoiding the scenario in the video much easier than people think.

  • @frozentootsiepop Many, many people are tricked by people they trust and are not as smart as you.

Usury is a crime and the criminals should pay for their crimes.

  • Now, here is the trick or illusion is what I call it! Even when you pay the minimum balance after months or years, the balance of your loans are not going to go down that much because of the compounding interest! Did you know Sallie Mae makes more money off of your loans when your loans go into default? THEY ARE PIMPS!!! Sallie Mae (Illuminati) know what there doing! We have to do our part by taking action and letting God handle the rest! Remember, good prevails over evil every time!

  • Folks, here is how it works with these student loans and private loans. Right now, there are no jobs for college graduates. Right? Greedy corporations like Sallie Mae already know that they aren't any jobs for students. So, what do they do? They put your loans in default so it will ruin your credit, with bad credit it will be harder for you to find a good high paying job to pay off these loans. Do you see where I'm getting at? It's a Babylon type system! It's a form legalized slavery!

  • Masters. In. Geography.

  • @ascetica0 EXACTLY! She mine as well NOT have gone to college. But still, that job is a 39,000 a year job..its not.."What do you wanna be when you grow up?" anymore, it has turned into, "What will make you the most money when you grow up?"

  • Instead of threatening to default join Forgive Student Loans to Stimulate the Economy on Facebook to fight for loan forgiveness and student loan reform.

  • Sounds like a whole lot of college students/graduates (smarter than the average?) have FAILED basic finance. And they're college students? And they are going to be our future leaders? Wow! No wonder we're in such miserable shape. Most "average" high school graduates in my day (the 1950s) knew enough to avoid over extending themselves. We need a smarter class of college graduates.

  • @nemo227 You know if your cohort had been a bit more serious in providing DECENT education for the now college graduates BEFORE they went to college things may not have been as bad. But instead what did they get? Schools turned into baby-sitter services because parents and grandparents (need I point out also your cohort) were too busy/tired/whatever to raise their kids and teach them about life and it's traps. The reason for the bad shape isn't them, it's the ones BEFORE them

  • @dochokeana My cohort? Which?

    co·hort n

    1. a united group of people

    2. a supporter, accomplice, or associate of a leader, especially one to whom special treatment and preference is given (disapproving)

    3. a group of people sharing a common factor, for example, the same age or the same income bracket, especially in a statistical survey

    4. an ancient Roman military unit that formed one tenth of a legion and that consisted of 300 to 600 men

    5. a group of soldiers or warriors

  • @nemo227 You know if your cohort had been a bit more serious in providing DECENT education for the now college graduates BEFORE they went to college things may not have been as bad. • Don't pay Sallie Mae nothing! Take care and support yourself! When you pay these student loans it's like throwing hundreds and thousands of dollars down a bottomless pit because of the compounding interest. It's an illusion and it's to enslave people for life! Especially, the middle class! God has heard the cry of his people and see's the evil that is going on with these greedy corporations! Sallie-Mae and the rest of Babylon will fall down!!!!
