how didnt water get in the air box?

Hey! Nop, because Africa tWin has airbox on the top of fuel tank, so it's quite above :-)

@FlamingJune100 To add. The airbox is deep and the cups for the carbs pretty high. You can collect some water in the box before it starts drinking. You're filter will need some drying though.
