Toad The Wet Sprocket, "Something's Always Wrong" from their 1994 CD "Dulcinea", the writing credits inside the CD booklet state: "Lyrics by Glen Phillips And Todd Nichols, Music By Todd Nichols, Glen Phillips and Toad"

Phillips and Nichols are one of the strongest songwriting pairs of the last 25 years

Toad recorded it, but Glen wrote the lyrics and the music was written by himself and the boys.

If I remember the interview I read correctly, when he started touring solo he decided to use a few Toad songs because "Why not? I wrote all of the lyrics and most of the music - I'm proud of a lot of those songs and they helped me feed my kids."

Some of the episodes (this episode included) are brilliant because of the contrast between complete humor and dramatic moment. The moments are very realistic in scrubs when this happens. I really think that endings like this are why Scrubs is an absolutely brilliant show.
