Adults shouildn't have to do laundry everyday. How wasteful is that?! Also - I hope she's hanging the clothes on a clothes line to dry instead of just putting them in a drier and wasting power that way.
ok so...i have to call ASU to see if i have an outstanding financial obligation that will wreck my chances to enroll at EKU to finish my degree this spring, and guess what...i dont WANT TO MAKE THAT CALL!...so how am i gonna trade that for something i 'love'?
Dear Raymond, you're looking younger and younger! My question about procrastination is, if i live alone, how do I get around doing the house chores I hate, cos no one else will do a chore exchange for me...
I can't see how this is supposed to help people. What if this girl would be living on her own. She can wear clean clothes everyday but the kitchen is a stinky mess fungus and fly poop.. So hurray? At least no procrastination anymore?
What people need is a trick to make things you hate to do fun. Like Mary Poppins but then without the magic fingersnapping.
I hate college, cleaning, cooking, exercising and working, but I love sitting around, eating, and watching TV. So does this mean I can sit around eating and watching TV all day? Awesome, but I aint gonna get anywhere with doing that lol. Which means I do have to do things I hate, regardless of how much my body rejects it.
@SiligeM Unfortunately what people tend to love to do is all very common. Simple rules of economics renders those activities worth very little. And the things we hate, that have to get done are all common to, hence very expensive. Thus the trade of chores the video suggested is unrealistic for most of life situations.
@SiligeM Stop lumping everything in your life into huge generalizations. You hate college? What about it do you hate? Your course... try another one. The people... make new friends. Going to college... get a job.
What exercise do you hate? Is it going to the gym or do you hate every sport under the sun? Try more stuff.
Find a way to make money doing something you love and pay for cleaners and cooks.
Is it overnight magic... no... but it has to start somewhere.
@SiligeM Pleasure/ pain principle. Addicts are a great example - add pain to what you don't like until it's greater then the thing you do like that bad for you. I haven't watched tv in months b/c it was bad for me and the pain of the contant news stories and commericals were to painful. cause yourself to lose the enjoyment by rewarding yourself when you do something that helps you. replace a bad habit / addiction with a good one.

Isn't it important to do things you don't love all the time to move toward your goals?
