My birth certificate is identical, from the same issuing agency. It is a totally valid, legal, State issued, Certified birth certificate. The dmv had no issues with it when I got my drivers license and State ID card. Neither did several military bases when I used it to get my security clearance to work on them. It has never been reject, nor was I ever told "its not enough".

Most people have never even read it!! I had to read it as well as learn about the history of the US because I was tested on it AND I PASSED and now am a proud Citizen of the United States of America.

1. The short form was a jpeg on a website, which would NOT be considered valid evidence in court for the average person. A "Certification of Live birth" can be aquired by ANYONE born outside of state OR country. It is NOT a Birth Certificate.

My birth certificate is identical, from the same issuing agency. It is a totally valid, legal, State issued, Certified birth certificate. The dmv had no issues with it when I got my drivers license and State ID card. Neither did several military bases when I used it to get my security clearance to work on them. It has never been reject, nor was I ever told "its not enough".
The health care bill has nothing to do with his eligibility.

I dont understand why people seem to think thats not a birth certificate. Hawaii no longer issues "long form" or photo copies. That is their current, standard issue bc. Mine is identical, from the same issuing agency. Its never been rejected nor have I ever had to provide any supplemental info because of it.

And if I'm not mistaken, all birth records in the US, there are 3 original copies. One to the parents, one to the state for vital records and a third goes to I believe it is some bank over seas. Where all the hard copies are housed. That is the TRUE original.

The thing many dont seem to understand is that legally the long form and the one Obama has shown both carry the same weight. He provided a birth certificate and the Hawaii Dept of Health has certified that he is a natural born citizen.

Though I'm sure it is an unusual request to get the very original out of archives of the US, being that it is the sitting President whom would be requesting it, I don't see how it could be all that great of a problem. I believe what raises a much greater concern from the questioning public is that he doesn't seem to want to deal with it.

He was born Barack Hussein Obama II. That is and has always been his legal name. His mother divorced Barack Obama Sr and married Lolo Soetoro in 1965. There are no records that prove Barack Jr was adopted by Lolo Soetoro. There are also no records that he ever legally changed his name to Soetoro. He simply went by that name when he was in elementary school in Indonesia (ages 6 - 10)

Happersett) no 14th amendment citizen (since that's all he could be if born in Hawaii--which now a Hawaii gov't official says he was not and he has zero documentation--but even if he was he could only be a statutory (as in defined by statute) citizen)...
See, a "natural born citizen" requires 2 us citizen parents child born on us soil, with absolutely no foreign ties. Obama=ineligible

Minor v Happersett clearly defined only two types of citizenship.
"These were natives or natural born citizens AS DISTINGUISHED FROM aliens or foreigners".

2. Alien or foreign born (naturalized)

Obama's birth in Honolulu has been reported by newspapers at that time, so unless the "conspiracy" goes back all the way to that time, birthers are sunk.

Regardless where Obama was born, It is Obama that is fueling this debate. He is the one who won't show the world his birth certificate. I think he was most likely born in Hawaii, but he has no credibility. I don't trust the man. Show us the birth certificate. How can anyone say we don't have reason to be suspicious? You get called a birther because your position is not backed up by evidence and has been thoroughly proven to be wrong. You can say the Earth is flat over and over, but that doesn't make it so.

1. Either it shows something DAMNING on his copy they have in HAWAII, as they stated it is on file

As a Canadian who is now a LEGAL American Citizen, I STAND since I have actually not only read the constitution but am studying it since I should know what I believe. Most people have never even read it!! I had to read it as well as learn about the history of the US because I was tested on it AND I PASSED and now am a proud Citizen of the United States of America.

1. The short form was a jpeg on a website, which would NOT be considered valid evidence in court for the average person. A "Certification of Live birth" can be aquired by ANYONE born outside of state OR country. It is NOT a Birth Certificate.
2. You're correct. That's why we are asking OBAMA to do it. If we are required to give it for a number of different reasons, then he should give it as well. He is NO different than anyone else. ;-)

That just says your birth has been registered in the state. Anybody can get one of those, whether born outside the state, or even the country. A jpeg on a website would NOT be accpetable in court if the average person did this. What does he have to hide? Just show it, plain and simple. ;-)

I don't presume to know Berg's motivation behind being a birther. It's quite irrelevant to me. If the merits of his case are sound, then that's all that matters. Any personal issues he may have is all on him, and have nothing to do with others who are asking the same questions, and not everyone asking such questions is just some right wing Republican like the MSM typically puts out there. Nobody that I know of has ever presented a credible case to any points he's presented. ;-)

Like I told concordat, the Daily Kos CoLB was a PROVEN FORGERY that had dots in certain places, and the Factcheck photos had dots in the same places as the orginal forgery.
