  • Yep, it's Bob Kulick.

  • Isn't that Bob Kulick on the guitar the bald guy??

  • energy whoa

  • The man was great in his prime.

  • ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ,,, THE GREATEST ROCK MUSICIAN AND PERFORMER OF ALL TIME..................MEATTTTTTTTTTTTT LOAFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.

  • I'm lucky enough to say that I did see him in his prime, several times on this tour and on others too. The same venue had Meat on for 2 nights doing this set and then Deep Purple on for the next 2, when the guitarist famously threw a hissy fit and the band went on stage without him. I was at them all. Enjoy this footage and don't bother wasting your money on seeing Meatloaf now. Buy an old DVD if necessary, get some beers and snacks in and you won't be ripped off by a venue either.

  • 6:05 wow

  • Meat Loaf is clearly a legend! He actually performed on stage and told a story with his music....and many of his songs were longer than 3 minutes. Yes he is old now and cannot keep ip that pace but man oh man he totally rocked it for so long! I wish I had an opportunity to see him live while he was still in his prime

  • You can say that it's ok to go on if people are still willing to cough up to see you. After all, if you put the corpse of Sinatra on stage then you would still get punters in the hall. And some performers can pull off a slightly substandard but still entertaining show into their dotage with the aid of some charm and sleight of hand. But Meat Loaf live was always built around his energy and, on a good day, strong vocals. Now he has neither. It's an aural mugging of the public.

  • haha , the guitar 0:57 looks like Freddie !!

  • top clip

  • It is if he's still trying to perform like he did in 1987. It just doesn't work anymore. Of course if there are still people willing to pay then...

  • I think that the late 1980s/early 1990s were probably his peak vocally, or maybe it was just that the material suited his voice. He was often rough around the Dead Ringer tour previously, but that was probably due to excessive touring. I saw this performance on the telly at the time and thought it was pretty good and representative of the live touring show. Watch this and remember, and then avoid the temptation to go to see what he's like now.

  • Can anyone tell me what happened to the Berlin bomb? it is now a burning bag? :-/

  • I saw him on this tour. His performances were consistently strong and though the album was terrible (Frank Farian arghhhh!), most of it worked really well live. And the Goffs were hot.

  • Holy Fuck!!! what a performance! meatloaf... just awesome ;] thank you for sharing :p

  • Man, those are some hot backing vocals there.

  • people ask me why the hell do i love the singer meat loaf??? IS IT NOT FUCKIN OBVIOUS???? THE GUYS A LEGEND....FANTASTIC SONGER AND PERFORMER...

  • @youngelvisnightowls He is a great songer....

  • @CPRIOR25 singer i meant hehe thanks for pointing that out haha

  • @youngelvisnightowls YES he WAS a great Singer and this is fantastic, love it. BUT in 2011 this guy is a filthy fucking criminal charging to perform. Cant sing a Note, his Voice is gone, its a disgrace he charges people to see him

  • @OutlawMCC so £25 is a disgrace??? and a free edition of his latest album??? hes not a criminal?? its a crime to see hes shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i thinkn i know better then you realsie that your voice tends to get old and croaky when you get older..........thats not meat loafs fault lol

  • @OutlawMCC .... i guess when performers get old they don't have the right to keep doing what they love and make money doing so? i guess when you get older you should stop "charging" your employer to employ you right? And with all do respect your a fucking idiot, go eat a steak knife.

  • @johnnyxcasanova NO Fucknuckle when you can no longer perform your duties at work you are SACKED, or moved on as they say. Shove the Steak knife up ya arse

  • @OutlawMCC Thats one of the stupidest comments i have ever seen. Obviously his voice is not that same as it was, but to say he is ' a filthy fucking criminal' is just a little over the top! Think before you type. Anyways, Meat loaf, total legend, his music will live on for many generations to come!

  • @eddydagun LMFAO well said FANBOY, get ya fucking hearing tested, maybe stop living in the PAST

  • Long Live the God of Rock!

  • What type of guitar is the musician in the purple overcoat playing? It cuts off above the frets without tuning keys. =^..^=

  • @terpsichoreankat Headless bass by the looks of it.

  • who can write a better motor bike crash song then jim steinman?? who can sing rock songs better then meat loaf?? who is better stage then meat loaf (except freddie mercury?)

    answers to all 3....................ABSOLOUBTLEY NOBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Epic Car Crash song and one of the best rock songs of all time! Meat Loaf´s voice is perfect here.

  • Such a great way to start a song. Long kick ass instrumental greatness.

  • Who are the two backup singers?

  • @Rockinghorserider1 Amy and Elaine Goff ;-)

  • @Rockinghorserider1

I'm pretty sure that one of them is Meat Loaf's step daughter.

  • @kendrick87 Not in this vid-I've been told they are Amy & Elaine Goff. I like the one on the right.

  • Great song!

  • This is just absolutely awesome! He's still got a good voice nowadays but I have to admit I do like the old songs better. And old performances.

  • i like his change of pitch on 6.10 and 6.28 -6.34

  • WOW! Kick-Ass performance!!!!

The greatest rock star - without a doubt. :)

  • I just watched one from, I'd say 2005, and this kicks it's ass. Amazing!!!!

  • @vda420

that would be because he had a problem with his throat and it screwed up the power of his voice later in his career

  • What a amazing and unique voice ! Generations behind us will listen and enjoy this song also !

  • Heh. We all sure wore some ridiculous clothes in the 80's :)
