One morning we heard a fight nearby, so we explored and found the aftermath. 1 female and 1 male (vervets) were pulling on a baby vervet. It looked like a nursing mama (and quite a few others), had been killed, and I'm guessing the female picked up the baby and the male wasn't having it. They ran when we yelled, but the baby was torn in pieces. All we could do was stop her suffering and bury her. Not wrong or right, just nature. Baby monkeys have a rough road.
