Look at NIU tugs, notice we grip rope without our hands, you can pinch the rope under your arm. Also look at moves NIu does, would help a lot. You have right approach with trenches but dont need to have ropes on your hands, we wear a pad to pinch rope. NIU is the founder of this style of tugs
