@braunblender yeah but in reality the two parties are a lot similar than they like to admit. for example, if you actually listen to what the politicians are saying during things like debates, they are basically saying the same things, it's the followers or the members of the parties who are the ones with the opposition to each other.
@braunblender The US system is very different to the Westminster system, "crossing the floor" is not a big deal in the US, and neither is the blatant pork barrelling to sway them either way. Needless to say a coherent party policy is all but impossible to obtain under these rules. Lack of trustworthy understandable policy on both sides means the public is somewhat uniformed. An informed public is eventually lethal to a functioning democracy.

Needless to say a coherent party policy is all but impossible to obtain under these rules. Lack of trustworthy understandable policy on both sides means the public is somewhat uniformed. An informed public is eventually lethal to a functioning democracy.

Before the Bologna revolution around 1088), or even in some field of science. But, this is a zugzwang, so I had to pick the lesser evil and, if it's Obama v Paul,I think it's Paul at this moment. So, take him, and take a few step afterward to avoid go too far (vote for mayors&congressman more progressive).

I believe in love, caring, kindness, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, (are you shocked at that one?), I believe in raising children to be good kids, polite kids. Throughout all of history, the gods have changed that people worship, but people have not changed, some are good, some not so good. Studies have shown that atheists give more money to charities based on their own incomes.

Humans have evolved to have morals. I feel bad that I have to eat meat, but I have to eat meat to have the proper proteins for my body. My body is a carnivore. I have evolved to have a high intellect, yeah! But humans have also evolved to try and seek meaning in all events, thus most people believe in a god or gods. Seeking meaning helps us use our logic, but then religion gets in the way because humans have corrupted religion with money and power. I do not believe in a god or gods.
