  • Thinking of making a model rocket size of a tall tree. See try get it into orbit take photos.

  • @MrAstronaut2013, the rocket and camera are not a problem, but what are you going to use for engine?

  • @R0ckzor Whats the largest engine you can find. They do make high power engines that can get up to 30,000 ft.

  • @twistedyogert, i think they make al kind of powerfull engines, the only problem is to get them, powerfull engines are illigal to ship over seas i think.

In holland the most powerfull engine i can order is the Edna rocket engine with a impuls of 2300 Ns, thats a 60 cm long and 10 cm wide engine

  • @R0ckzor they make high powered F engines as well as G engines for model rockets that can reach close to that height.

  • @anic713, I have a F and G engine from poland, they burn 10 seconds with a total impuls of 98 newton\second, and i dont think you get higher than 6000 feet with those engines, anybody got any experience with those engines? i first need some information before i launch a rocket with a engine like that.

  • @MrAstronaut2013 To get into real orbit, you'd have to be able to control the pitch, yaw, roll, all that... Might as well build a REAL rocket. Models won't really be able to do it.

  • Hilarious and awesome vid, love the music

  • *Nice* choice of music. Sorry about your rocket, though...

  • very appropriate music

  • Awesome ride....@1:43 it actually looks like you've made orbit!! BRAVO

  • Impressive rocket and Vidio! Just got into the onboard camera flights myself!

  • @bushstalker, nice, what camera do you use? i am experimenting with a HD camera

  • @R0ckzor I'm now using a Mini DV MD80 DVR Sports Video Camera. Works VERY well and is extremely compact. I've already started constructing a multi camera rocket. Also I'm going to be putting a loud buzzer on board. That way it'll be easy to find in grassy Hilly terrain. It's a magnetic mini door alarm, soon as the rocket launches, the magnetic connection is severed and it can be heard from 500 ft away easy! REALLY loud!... Will NEVER loose the rocket with that on it! :)

  • @R0ckzor Im not sure, but wouldn't go-pro be a good choice for this stuff? high frame-rate and built for beating? Sorry, just noticed your conversation

  • @LucasSchaaf, i am slowly working my way up, i now use HD camera's and a better launch rig, i am also experimenting with stable rockets that fly straight up, you have any tips?

  • Excellent choice of James Horner for soundtrack. Cool video too. I'd never seen an amateur rocket with separable boosters before!

  • Right, I think I have a better solution for everyone else who want to download the tutorial (best in PDF form). Just put a download link to the tutorial in the description. In that way, everyone can download the tutorial easily.

  • @TheScienceguy1998, its a good idea, only i dont know how, this way also works

  • That....was...EPIC!!! Did you make it from scratch? Could you please send me a tutorial on making this rocket too? If you could or once built a Saturn 5 and a space shuttle, could you also send me a tutorial on them?

  • @TheScienceguy1998, I only have a tutorial from this rocket but i can make more if people ask, if you give me your e-mail i sent it

  • look an ufo

  • @MrJJK2010, its a rocket so its not a ufo

  • Cool, dude, I hope my project/-ile will perform that good when i test it...

    It's not as big, tough... only a triple C6-1 under a triple Held1000, delay 2, topped by a C6-4

(I make'em from 0-delay motors with rolled paper plugs. Roll a lenght of safety fuse into the plug, add bp on top and keep in place by one layer of glued-on cigarette paper. the lenght of the plug (extending from the end of the motor) determines the delay... [It sounds far less professional than it looks and performs...])

  • @RestlessWicked, wow sounds complicated, do you know the burn time of a Held1000? and my rockets are also pretty simple, i dont use electronics on this rocket, but now i am working a new generation of rockets with electronic timers and altitute meters :)

  • I've always wanted to make such rockets than is seen in this video! : D

  • @RocketMasteeer, wll just do it, its verry simple, i can sent you a tutorial that i made of this rocket

  • @R0ckzor can you send me one please

  • @streetsurfer133, hi, if you sent me your e-mail adres i can sent you the tutorial

  • Impressive footage - even if it was a malfunction.

  • love the song its from Apollo 13

  • you need to work for NASA.

  • @jhagge2 no kidding, that was sick i wish they still flew the space shuttle, i would haved loved to be in one. sick launch!

  • Put the wrong delay motor in the booster, eh?

  • @numbo42, no the buttom connection of the booster was to tight, it was its first flight so it was an experiment, 3 out of 4 boosters worked :) the sevond flight all 4 boosters worked

  • How much does it cost per run on adverage?

  • @2012goingNutz, hi, this rocket hase 5 D12 engines and they are about 5 dollars a peace, so 25 dollars

  • Too cool...nice job.

  • would've been so damn cool to see the boosters peel away as the rocket kept on climbing. Hopefully you'll record a successful launch, no?

  • @Darthbelal, hi, on my channel there is a video of a succesfull launch from this rocket, its the second flight, my next flight will be with a HD camera, that video will be posted soon :)

  • Cool video. Hopefully the insurance company covered the $17.50 satellite loss. :-)

  • I enjoyed this video!

  • Nice build and vidio on that one!

  • Beautiful!

  • @sk8tafrnk, what you mean?

  • so sorry

  • trolololo

  • Hey! could u please tell me the "fuel" u use? thanks a lot!

  • @Vmbra01, Hi, i use D12-3 engines from Estes, this one hase 6, i order them from the internet

  • @Vmbra01 black powder wath is the fuel i want know to

  • Great video!! What kind of video camera did you use?

  • @altitudealchemy, hi, i used the flycamone 2 for this rocket, its perfect for use in model rockets, and now i use the flycamone HD, its more expensice but it have a 1024P resolution

  • selfmade rocket?

  • @MR1flip, yes made it myself out of cardboard

  • Whats the name of the song, i want it for my first launch

  • @seldian, its from the movie apollo 13

  • @R0ckzor alright thanks!

  • These videos are fucking epic lol

  • @seldian, haha thxs :) i am working on even bigger rockets

  • Wow! That was some amazing footage even though it didn't work exactly as you had planned! Watching that parachute come out was so cool!

  • @BustaJonesGavin, thxs :) the second flight whas a succes, its also on my channel

  • @R0ckzor Yeah I saw that too. Really awesome. Seeing all these vids has rekindled my love for model rockets. I pulled out my whole set from storage and I'm gonna start making big ones!

  • @BustaJonesGavin, nice :) if you need information just e-mail

  • Sweet!

  • Good work! Even though the strap-on sep malfunctioned, it's still good work!

  • @murdelabop, thxs :) the second launch whas a succces, its on my channel

  • reminds me death of challenger

  • @takaKizne007, this rocket didnt explode, i have launched a rocket that did explode like the challenger, its on my channel "model rocket explodes in mid air"

  • Nice rocket launch and launch pad system I know that malfunctions will happen from time to time Im an avid model rocket builder you pad is cool I would like to know what your erganomitier is used for on your launch tower I use a simple orange streamer on the launch pad and saftey cap heres a tip if your really inot launching you can save yourself a lot of money if you go to a hardware store and but a big block of biodegradable insulation and use that for waddeing for you rockets

  • @Tim4706, thxs for the tip :)

  • Came Down Like A Visitor From Heaven! ^0^

  • Sweet!

  • were do you get these types of moedl rockets at

  • @halocop159, i make them myself, i only buy the rocket engines

  • Thank you you make the best rocket vids

  • @br122898, thxs, i have 10 more rockets ready to launch, only waiting for good weather, more video's comming soon :)

  • How do you have them pop off

  • @br122898, its verry easy, i used rubber bands, if you give me your e-mail i can sent you a tutorial i made

  • The video layout is just great! awesome!

  • Love your videos :-)

  • @harmsworth1, thxs :)

  • wow scratch my last suggestions. you were a step ahead of me and as expected the result was pure video goodness :-) great job !!!

  • @nerys71, i sie you already found it :P

  • @nerys71, i sie you already found it :P the booster idea is my last idea, i am now working on a shoulder launched missle launcher, but if you have good ideas for complex model rockets please let me know

  • @nerys71 yeah but I am talking about CHAD staging IE just tape 3D12 together so to speak no boosters (ie mass and drag)

Just watch your COP/COG if you do that :-)

THIS model was just plain cool. cool enough that I am going to build one like it and put a high speed camera onboard!

  • @nerys71 your videos kick ass

  • @Mrcastroreynoso thanks much appreciated.

  • haha - Maulfunction....

  • @ssouthur, yea stupit mistake :P

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • AwEs0^^e man

  • awesome wowowowowwwwwww
