The 4 girls wearing the MacGregor kilts & plaids are showing the old steps that are no longer danced for competition or exams. The 4 girls wearing their own kilts are showing the steps that are currently listed in the books.

this is interesting! the contrast is pretty drastic between the old and new. Tell the girl in the greyish dress kilt that her extensions are lovely.
