  • " your instrument is quite impressive "

    that's what she said, actually.

  • @Tyrog Giggity.

  • how could she talk if her head was sliced off and she didnt have any vocal chords?

  • oren has swaggggggg

  • How do they explain this to the cops?

  • @idraw1995 do you really think that the cops are gonna look for ANY explanations when they get in and see that fucking massacre???? they`ll probably say things like "fuck this i don`t wanna die investigating this!!!" or "i don`t even want to know what happened here!!!"

  • ...AND I WANT MY SCALPS!

  • the bgm is awesome!!!

  • O-ren was probably the most honorable fighter of the assassins

  • Silly Caucasian girl likes to play with Samurai Swords..my fave line;)

  • Comment removed

  • When O-Ren throws the sheath away and she grabs her sword with both hands while the music heightens, you know shits about to get real.

  • USO WO TSUKE!!!!! {Lucy's facial expression was fkn A}

  • i wish some clapping would start when i take off my shoes.....that would be EPIC! (in public of course)

  • UTSOTSKE!!!!!!!

  • This scene is and always be very poetic. Beauty and Violence perfectly blended. Tarantino is a genius!

  • Bad choice of music for that setting, just the silence broken by the shishi odoshi or some Noh theater music would be much more effective....

  • @KelvinW344 I take it you're a colossal weebaoo and probably wanted some Japanese music? Guess what. It's Tarantino, who'll use many artistic sources in making his films. This isn't a Samurai movie, it's an American homage to kung fu and pulp cinema.

  • esta parte de la pelicula me encanta

  • I wish I could find somewhere that fountain from 5:15

  • @syluar called a shishi odoshi

  • @syluar u can find em everywhere we have one of these :3

  • when the music came on at 1:46 my insides squelled with dilight of the wonderful juxtaposition of the music, imagery, and story.

  • @Alchemist1330 totally agree the music was perfect for the setting

  • what is the name of this song?!

  • @hepner0987654321

don't let me be misunderstood - santa esmeralda

  • 1:46 IT'S ON!!!

  • I like how at the end she finally "gets it through her head" that it really was a Hattori Hanzo sword! XD

  • In the mitology an assasin would call it a deth with hounor

    This is art

  • I think it's a very very funny scene,because, I'm a Japanese.Tarantino is genius !!!

  • How did her skull top come off without cutting the top of her brain, too?

  • @Lunarvx22 it did actually notice how flat the brain looks

  • That's the real thing...thank you so freakin much!

  • 24 people still wonder if that was a Hattori Hazo sword.

  • @iankevinsevilla ur gay lol

  • one of the most gorgeous scenes i have ever watched. This fight really was beautiful

  • oh wow that beautiful sound you hear when a blade comes to a stop in the wind...ohhh......the beautiful music, scenery, the love of two warriors who hate eachother in battle........pure poetry lol.

    faved, thanks for upload :)

  • What is the name of the song that starts at 7:00?

  • @STLfangirl Meiko Kaji - The Flower of Carnage

  • ok so i know that everyone knows about Meiko Kaji's brilliant song in this scene, but does anyone know the first song? the flamenco-esque one? my senior showcase is coming up and i wanna know the name of this song

  • @XxXLiliumAngelXxX

It's the beginning of "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood"

  • silly caucasian girl lkes to play with samurai swords

  • This classic confrontation is amazing. This also started my journey studying the music and movies of Japan's great Kaji Meiko, the enchanting singer performing the haunting classic, "Shura no Hana," when "Black Mamba" slices the scalp off Oren Isii. To me, Kaji Meiko's music was as compelling as any I'd ever heard.

Thanks for posting this clearly presented video, with excellent sound. I love the "Kill Bill" Movies......and their inspirational sword fighter, "Lady Snowblood," Kaji Meiko.

  • Το κρασακι του Τσου.

  • The big, lush, slow-falling snowflakes and the shimmering, granular ice on the ground truly show what a difference an eye for detail makes in successful film-making.

  • this is one of the best Tarantino scenes of all time,,, right up there with with the "cops ear incident" of reservoir dogs.... we need more TARANTINO!!!!!

  • I loved the music that started when O-Ren slipped off her music, so awesome!

  • @Sadowski40 The music (clapping) that started when O-Ren slipped off her shoes is "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" performed by Santa Esmeralda.

  • @richardwithanarr Awesome thanks so much!!

  • The clapping was eerie. Eerie good!

  • gogo the hardest dats my wife yummy!

  • Katanananananananana....

  • @Savage6ix Batman !

  • @yurnero1002 I never said it wasn't realistic. This isn't even an argument about being more realistic. People like the more entertaining fights, something that Kill Bill has. People in general don't want to see a one-hit kill during a fight. It's just boring.

  • What is the song that starts playing at 1:45? I couldn't find it on the kill bill soundtrack. Anyone know???

  • Comment removed

  • @EthanXin Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood

  • @yurnero1002 That's so boring, though. Beatrix killed all of the weaker dudes with quick kills. Why would you want the main protagonist of a movie/series to kill the main antagonist so quickly? True martial artist or not, people like to see fancy sword play. Nothing on tv or in movies is hardly ever like they would do it in real life.

  • Silly cacausian girl likes to play with swords...

  • @yurnero1002 Yeah, that's pretty boring. Not to mention the dude was fighting a bunch of amateurs. They just rushed in without thinking. It was pretty dumb.

  • J'adore this scene! When she takes off her shoes and walks forward and the music starts....ahhhhh, so good!

  • I love this scene It's my most favorite fight scene, pure genius.

  • where was the law in all of this lol

  • sooo bad ..

  • i want that fountain!!!

  • I love Oren Ishii

  • I love both the Kill Bill movies. This fight scene is epic. This also introduced me to the amazing music of Japan's great singer, Kaji Meiko. Check our her classic action movie, "Lady Snowblood," one of Tarantino's main influences for "Kill Bill, Vol 1." Thanks for posting.....

  • 8:22 she makes perfect lines

  • @yurnero1002 Ya I kind of cried at the end of the fight :(

  • @1:30 i hope she's wearing thermal socks..lmao

  • I find this sad cause they were friends

  • What a tremendous display of honor and respect between two warriors, you don't see that too often.

  • 我好喜歡喔這部讓人看沒有ㄉ電影

  • all that talk about saving up energy to fight, pfft they didnt even do shit. clashed for like 3 seconds and then stopped for wut seemed like a minute, fight and then stop. i thought this fight would have been better

  • Comment removed

  • "That really was a Hattori Hanzo sword". EPIC!

  • O-Ren said the Bride would not last 5 minutes. The fight lasted 4 minute and 59 seconds.

  • I heard Kill Bill 3 was going to be about Mikki (That chick's daughter) getting revenge on the bride. Remember what she told her?

  • @MintKidKilljoy It's Nikki. lol "Nikita."

  • @MintKidKilljoy nikki

  • I love this song!!!!!!!!!

  • The music is kinda like the music they use in Bleach the anime.

  • her face at 02:58 is amazing. She's like "oh shit, that really is Hanzo steel."

  • Lucy Liu looks so beautiful and elegant at 2:38 - 2:45

She looks larger than life lol

  • Why does she only talk in Japanese sometimes? (O-Ren Ishii)

Why not only in English so that "the Bride" can understand easier?

Stupid question, but I've always wondered :P

  • @mgonzalezLOVE I'd just say that's one of Tarantino's traits. It's not the only time he's played about with languages in his films - another good example is Inglorious Basterds. It makes it more interesting if you ask me

  • omg the little bamboo fountain makes things so intense, i know its just a bamboo pole but its like a heartbeat

  • This fight was beautiful...With the background and all.

  • @MissMademoiselle2 Thats Quentin's specialty!

  • great background music

  • she says the she kan kill kiddo easily how does it come then that she has to have 2 swords? that provs that kiddo scares the shit out of every assasin in the world:)

  • @Metal4ever1985 She only had one. The thing she was holding in her left hand was the seath for her sword.

  • @bosk129 ok thanks:)

  • Those Katanas are beautiful..

  • i dont think there will be a kill bill 3 he based this off a book so i think the books over and he has respect he wont ruin anything that isnt his

  • her head falls off am i right? so why is it attached when she falls? 0.o

  • @sardeess chops her scalp off!

  • What's the song at 1:53?

  • @kenshin11

It's called "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood".

  • yea if they make 3 which they will you have sophie left alive and the women daughter she killed i think her name was cottun mouth and you have her daughter thats a good fight and eli darl hannna who she took her eye out maybe

  • @Alditronable ummmmmm your assuming that she was able to get up and out of the camper without getting bitten by the snake, and then walking many miles across the desert without being able to see.

  • fucking amazing scene

  • silly rabbit ....

  • You would think that The Bride would die from blood loss after fighting Go-Go and The Crazy 88's. OP'D

  • awesome music

  • @wheelywot Quentin Tarentino has already decided to make vol. 3 and I'm asuming it will have something to do with Copperhead's daughter.

  • @Lonewolf349128 Dont forget Elle, she might have had some surgery or something to get her eyes back

  • @Alditronable or she could be trained in the blind arts.

  • @Lonewolf349128 yay!

  • I'm watching Kill Bill right now.

  • Orenshi japanese is so bad!, movie is awesome, but they should get a japanese actress instead...

  • 1:46 is when the magic happens. The music is perfect =)

  • Looks like this fight was a

    Hair-Raiser

    YYEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

  • i thought orenishi was gonna fall forward.

  • HOW MUCH BLOOD HAS THIS GIRL GOT??!?!?!!

  • One of Tarantino's truly unique talents...

The ability to take a cheesy, pseudo-disco song from the '70s...and make it seem insanely badass.

  • Dont Let Me Be Misunderstood By Santa Esmeralda

  • What is the song called starting 1:46? , - If someone know. - And between this might be the most awesome scene in the whole movie. :D :D:D

  • @Zartharis the music is called "don't let me be misunderstood" performed by Santa Esmeralda

this song was a hit in the 70's.

    See the clip: watch?v=t8NVQ0iao0g

  • @Zartharis O-Ren ishii battle music

  • If i ever got rich enough i would make a room in my house just like how this garden is set up. plus the bamboo fountain kicks ass

  • As a "half-breed" myself, I have to say that O-Ren made the biggest influence on me out of all the Kill Bill characters. I love this movie!

  • I love how the swords make a sound a little before clashing at 03:44.

  • one moment in my life.. when igot inspired.. lucy lu was wonderful,,music was perfect.moment she saw her sword sheath break.she knew she would die .that little smile.. WONDERFUL

  • one moment in my life.. when igot inspired.. lucy lu was wonderful,,music was perfect.moment she saw her sword sheath break.she knew she would die .that little smile.. WONDERFUL

  • If they ever do make a third movie, it obviously wouldn't be called Kill bill volume 3, it would be like, "Kill Beatrix" or something that has to do with her, since it'll likely be about Nikki and whoever else taking revenge on Beatrix.

  • @Alexxm123 they could bring bill back as z zombie or a robot or a zombie robot!!!

  • @scalbard Haha! Knowing Tarantino, it might work. XD

  • i always thought that since the top of her head is sliced off, shouldn't her brains pop out when she fell onto the snow sideways? it's funny in a sick way when u think about it.

  • this is the wierdest porno i ever seen:/

  • @NeRvOuSclan791 facepalm

  • @NeRvOuSclan791 what?

  • @NeRvOuSclan791 Hahahahah!!

  • @NeRvOuSclan791 Still the best.

  • @NeRvOuSclan791 lol what?!

  • @NeRvOuSclan791 LMAO! xD

  • Una de lasm ejores peliculas originales en historia, montaje, tema y demas que he visto en mi vida

  • Please, let's be smart. Kill Bill 3 is not going to fucking be about killing bill. It's about what happened after she killed him, and what's gonna happen next.

  • @tokimasa121 It's gping to be about Vernita Green's daughter coming back to get revenge.

  • @tokimasa121 They should make vol 3 about that little girl getting revenge for her dead mother and going after uma.

  • @ZombieLandRule101 they are :D that's the point of volume 3. well part of it

  • @Darknight805 That's awesome then. I didn't even know they were making a Volume 3.

  • @tokimasa121 Maybe Nikki will kill Beatrix and then B.B. would avenge her mom by killing NIkki.

  • @SiO3Quartz lol sad excuse for a movie to keep going maybe quintin will do somthing cooler then that :)

  • @tokimasa121 won't be called Kill Bill vol. 3 either cus bill is already dead

  • Funny how the entire Vol.1 is uploaded to Youtube just mixed around on diferent vids xD

  • I'm the only one who think that Beatrix didn´t enjoyed killing O-Ren?? Before she killed her, she was crying! I understand Beatrix, she want to kill all of them, but the story of O-Ren is very sad... And O-Ren could have killed her easily! She has much more experience with katanas. Waiting for Kill Bill 3! Vernita's daugther has to take revenge! But they have to change the title, because Bill is dead XD

  • @KazeTenno The theory behind it is that he relationship with O-Ren was the strongest. Hence the little inside joke - "Silly Rabbit/Trix are for kids". And the fact that The Bride knows so much of the back story behind O-Ren's life. Somethign very personal, which an assassin would never reveal should it be seen as a sign of weakness. Hence the tear before killing her.

  • @is2tomfelton4eva I remember the first time I saw The Bride killing O-Ren... In this moment, I wanted to kill The Bride. And I always feel the same when I see her killing Gogo! The two deaths that I don't feel sorry for are Budd's and Vernita's. And, what about Elle? The Black Mamba was in Budd's house, but the film didn't say anything about her. I think that she's alive, and she'll take revenge, like Nikkia. (If Tarantino makes in a future Kill Bill 3)

  • great scene and movie. and thats two Quentin films involving scalp loss lol

  • did she die???

  • how good is lucy liu's japanese pronounciation?

  • @TamaDuder Not bad. It's intelligble, unlike Uma Thurman's.

  • Lucy Liu... I've never seen anything more beautiful than her dance with swords. I wish they would make a movie about her and her rise to power in Tokyo. In fact just about her entire life.

  • @Limbajoe I mean Oren, of course...

  • What a beautiful place!!

  • Uma Thurman is so weird looking. When they show her in profile, her nostrils look enormous. Don't get me wrong, I like her in this movie. But she still is one bizarre looking chick.

  • i love how the fountain shifts its weight after she slashes oren's leg. it shows the sudden change in the balance in power @ 5:20--the bride is winning the fight now.

  • @ayititifi10 good analysis. i overlooked that.

  • Standing there with you scalp gone and snow hitting you brain must hurt like hell....

  • @MrMythfinder actually it wouldn't .. the brain has no pain receptors so some snow hitting it wouldn't hurt a bit. the cut in the skull from the actual scalping? yes, maybe that would hurt a lot

  • ...latin music? Okay...

  • @Personaforever at first i didn't get it either. Because when I saw this movie looking at the yakuza, the japanese back drops. But this movie is actually tarentinos retro love letter to old samurai grind-house flicks that are 5 hours long. he music is a remake of a please don't let me be misunderstood by esmeralda. Its a 70s funky jazz rock fusion that was popular in the era and when you look at movies such as Sex and Fury the whole movie is filled with music like this.

  • this is like my tenchu video...lol

  • 4:07 my thoughts exactly, O-ren. The Bride is surely badass, but her fighting style is just not graceful or beautiful.

  • @cynicsfaith you can't teach an actor something in a few months for a few hours a week for something that a master spends his whole life practicing. Thats why its hard for me to watch fight scenes. I could tell when they have no technique in fighting.

  • @cynicsfaith Yes, but the silly Caucasian girl kicked her ass ;P.

  • @MissMademoiselle2 while it's true that she won, you can't deny the o-ren also messed her up.

  • 23 pussy wagon

  • best

  • @silvershinysparkles1 You're welcome. ;) it'll be great to see when it comes out!

  • Considering Lucy Liu is Japanese, her Japanese is actually worse than Uma's. I mean why does lucy liu have to play every role where there is an asian. Not a great actresses nor is she very pretty. Much better actresses out there, don't understand it.
