  • I've always had a problem with the Atom as a super hero because, as awesome as a shrinking super hero would be, the science to it is so... Baffling, in so many ways for so many reasons. Sure, Comics are places where the impossible can happen, a man can fly, rule the seas, dress up as a bat and not look lame etc. but they're still worlds like OURS where these things can happen, a world where something really really improbable can happen. These things defy any logic at all. Matter from a star shr

  • I love this video!!!!!

  • I'm all for people being free to be themselves, but this guy is offensive to viewers in not even making an effort to act like a man. What world does he live in that allows him to act like that??? World of women, maybe?

  • @gregboyds Oh hut up you closeted latent homosexual; your homophobic views is you trying to deny who you really are. Stop fighting how you really feel inside and come out the closet.

  • I wonder there actually are fragments of super-dense dwarf stars floating around in space, little ones like that that you wouldn't detect. It could hit the earth like a bullet and drill right through. And would anyone even know?

  • the only way dum people can retain information

tel them lies that they can associate with there hone and by accident they can remember fact

ok lafter is a good ancor to produce solide state memory but that only my opignon.

  • Does that explain why you can't spell simple words?

Since when does OPINION ever have a G in it????

What the fuck is wrong with schools today?

  • @jeancolmor It appears you didn't learn anything. Have someone check your spelling next time.

  • Haha this guy is brilliant ^_^ I like how he did the presentation, rather than bombarding them with facts he added jokes. Well done who ever you are :D

  • If you turn the camera around, you'll find an empty room, and in his hand is a remote that pulls up a laugh track.

  • "we physics professors are just that strong.." hahaha!

  • Aint there more videos of him!? :)

  • i would LOVE to have this guy as my physics professor!

  • totally entertaining and educating

  • This professor... he... he... is just so tight.... I would love it if he just makes a music video with his clothes he has on right there and is singing and going crazy on Lil' Wayne's "Pill Poppin' Animal"

    hahaha

that would be like making him the granddaddy of tightness... haha

I enjoyed him... he should be a comedian... seriously

  • woohoo another tard... i think i'm gonna start "Tarding" people .... and my line will be "you've been tarded"

  • 5/5.

Also, if there were people sitting on an electron conversing, how would the sound be transmitted from the throat of one person into the ear of the other when there are no air molcules present for a wave to travel through?

    :>

  • nice one!

  • Very nice I have learn something today. you should make more videos.

  • Great video and great explanation of physics! U Rock! Oh I love book by the way!!

  • My physics professor at Oakland University used a few examples from his super hero book just for kicks, the class really enjoyed it.

  • nicely done again thankx!! Ω

  • what an awesome way to set up physics explanations!

    5*

  • Way to go Professor Kakalios, what a great way to explain the density of the matter, this would make a great intro for any teacher that wants to grab the attention of his students. Did you have that book translated to other languages?

  • you hating on this vid too? you must be a lame dude to hate on this vid and his others too. what do you do in life that is better than this guy? he is WAY smarter than you. is that where the jelously comes from?

  • Theres nothing better than being surrouded by an audience of people with the same interests as you laughing at the same nerdy jokes as you lol.

  • I read this guy's book

  • this guy rocks.

  • I just want him to rip his shirt open to reveal Super Physicist!

  • So mating is a reflection of coolness?

This isn't the school yard anymore, you know...

One day all you'll have left is your emotions, and then what'll you do?

  • I AM!

  • In answer to the frist question. in answer to the second: you are wrong!

  • You are wrong.

I've had plenty of sex, it's nothing really special.

If you put such a huge importance on your genitals then where will you be when you're old and they don't work?

And survival of the fittest was realized by geeks and, not too sure if you remember this here or not but the Atomic Bomb was made by geeks and I'm gonna go with that being the ultimate survival of the fittest argument there ever was, just ask Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

  • Or not.

    Geeks are multi-million dollar successes.

People with problems due to perhaps emotional destruction due to assholes like you and the others on here.

They don't know how to cope or anything.

All it is is people who perhaps had similar problems took it out on these people thus "planting the seed" which caused people who couldn't handle it to become the 40-in-parents-basement.

  • one of the geekiest geeks in my schoole was also one of the most popular ones (for real)

and he had a geek friend.. that was also really popular.. just because movies say that geeks are not popular doesn't male it true (just like there's no tall dark FLYING MEN WITH SUPER SPEED AND SUPER STRENGTH.. or are there? tum tum tum..)

  • Definition? Does it say that in oxford's?

  • I was in the Army with high school QB's and the popular athletic/cheerleader girls (roomed with one for 3 years, worst experience ever), and I got to say, this here tiny geeky girl made it through basic training in better mental and physical shape than any of them.

  • I don't know how the geeks would fail since one qualification of being geekish is intelligence above your average joe. In any case the level of fail radiating from your comment might start to alter my DNA so I say good day.

  • @eastcoastin: Perhaps you'd like to tell his wife and children that. As for you, I hope you didn't waste too much of your life thinking up such a witty and intelligent comment.

***I wish there were more of these clips, they're funny and informative.***

  • And what exactly are you doing with your life that's worthwhile may I ask? Posting comments on youtube? Oh yeah, Nobel Prize for that acheivement.

  • You know what's funny? Since you gave the definition of a geek (Which, has no real definition because it's slang), you've been missing out on the fact you've had nothing but negative reps, I.E. you aren't very popular. Does that make you a geek to yourself?

Instead of chastizing this man, who probably has a better and more steady relationship than you'll ever have in your short high-school life, you should go watch a video you actually like.

  • Not being popular would make him or her (probably him) a dork actually. Geeks are wildly popular among other geeks at times.

And technically, if the word geek didn't have a definition, it couldn't be used in a sentence. It in fact has multiple definitions.

  • he was already a physics professor before being "popular" so at least he is way brighter than you, dumbass

  • hey sir, are you one of those stupid americans they talk about on tv?

  • nah, is just that its so amazing that sometimes it reach international tv, and if you haven't pay attention, even americans point it out.

  • you could save us some time and click in my profile, but since you can't do that, costa rica, yes we may be unimportant, but I just read the new in the internet.

  • Awesome, please make more of these. :D

  • I dont....get......it?

  • wow that is awsome! i wish my physics teacher was as kool as you

  • This guy is great!!!

  • 50,000 TONS the ATOM might be able to give Superman a run for his money.

  • hmm maybe if i become a physics prof then i can pick a fight with anyone!

  • LAST PART WAS BEST....I find him a bit cute

  • he's a PHYSICS and COMICS guy. He's gonna be a little, endearingly, dorky. But I can't believe people'd try to write him off as gay - did they really? In fact, why is GAY even an insult anymore? Fag, too. These are not viable insults, people! If you're not in the 6th grade, pls stop using them.

  • yeah

  • ... yeah!

While I'm at it, I'll write off the insult power of Fag, Gay, Girly, Fem, Geek, Nerd, Weirdo, and anything other than (or opposite to) Manly.

Cuz as a woman I'm frankly tired of hearing that a guy having qualities I'm respected for is the worse for it. Any man should be honored to be feminine! Being macho ain't such hot shit. Seems to cause more trouble than anything else.

But Respect to this guy, incidentally, he's still rad.

  • je reminds me of jd

  • jajajaja, that was awesome! cheers from Argentina!

  • Thanks.

  • Awesome!

  • Bravo!

  • This guy is great! What's the name of his book?

  • The name of his book is The Physics of Superheroes, and it's such a great book.

  • TOO fucking great!

  • geeks! lol

  • or a great gay.

  • Why is everyone calling him gay? If you have a problem with his voice, read his book. If you don't want to read his book, fuck off.

  • I dont know. Maybe physics should leave their sattiric, asymptote-like stupid comments to the art. I'm a physics lover but also a writer. They should know the difference. But anyways. I enjoyed the fact, actually. Kakalios is a great man.

  • Wish you were one of my teachers in school. Great stuff, well done. Please post more.

  • lol .. so dorky

  • no puedo creer que haya getne que vaya a ver esto

  • ahahahaha :D Funny guy!

  • No wonder he is straining and groaning [carrying the white dwarf remanents], as it would weigh more than 50 thousand tonnes. :D

  • I'm gotta get that book! Finally, someone who might actually be able to make the concepts of Physics stick in my head!

  • what a great line at the end!

  • rofl remainings of a white dwarf star xD

  • I like it.

  • Lol. More of these are needed.

  • Is there any more of this? This sound like a fun spiel.

  • ahahha i love this guy

  • wow! my physics prof was dull. i want that guy!!!

  • Somehow I wanna go back to school and do physics o.O

  • Ahaha! He's so funny! Now that's a very good professor!

  • LOL this is the best bit of all the others.
