It's nice, but as much as I love cats I don't like having them in my business when I'm having dinner. I think it would be better if there were cats in the waiting room so you could play with them as you wait to be seated.
No way there is one single city in America with health codes that would allow this. Only way you could do it would be if you had vending machines and served nothing.
@budgettroubleblog if this country wouldn't breed so much cats 'couse they're "sooo kawaii", they wouldn't have to end up on a street if sometimes somethings not so kawaii.
@PaprekiiPhone and by this comment you just showed that you have either never seen a proper full-breed "kawaii" cat that's purchased at a pet store, or your mental reasoning capabilities are severely diminished. Ever volunteered at a cat shelter? No? That might be a good first step to beginning to understand the problem of homeless cats in Japan and seeing that it has very little to do with "kawaii". And please, refrain from more knee jerk reactions about an issue of which you know zilch. Thanks
@budgettroubleblog I'm sry, I meant no offense. And I need to say I've been to Japan and I've been in a cat cafe. Also I really love Japan, but you can't just see the good things of a country only. I saw a documentation about cats in Japan (and also my sister join the animal protection), it's like with those breeding-dogs, in Japan it's the same with cats, too many kitten and not all of them get a home. Sure they idea of a cat cafe is nice, but in reality it's about money and business.
@PaprekiiPhone and with this comment you once again proved you know absolutely NOTHING about either Felis (which is licensed as a cat shelter, by the way, and that's why Felis is NOT your typical cat cafe), or about the cats that end up in a pet shelter - these are not purpose bred cats. They never were! Have you ever been to a pet store while in japan? I guess not. Then the difference would have been clear. Next time you're in JP, why don't you visit Felis and sign up to be a pet volunteer?
@budgettroubleblog plz don't be so aggressive, I just try to communicate. So this Felis is kind of a shelter-thing? sry, didn't read that in your description of your video, but now I'm interested. So're they just takin' homeless cats and the people who work in there are volunteers? and I could become a volunteer as a foreigner that easy?
@PaprekiiPhone if you clicked on the links in the video description, you would have known that. Instead you chose a typical self-righteous knee-jerk reaction. It gets tired after a while. If you speak Japanese and want to volunteer, you need to fill out a volunteer form. Why don't you visit their website and read more over there?
@budgettroubleblog I thought this was just some blog, as I said I'm sorry, so plz stop with that rudeness and I wasn't self-righteous I just know too many bad things, I'm gettin' paranoid, I'm sorry. Mmmh, if I would volunteer I have to stay longer and I haven't got the time right now, but I'll keep that in mind, 'couse I'm going to visit this country again anyway.
@PaprekiiPhone ok, for future reference, when you think something is just some blog - google it, it doesn't hurt and is free to use. If you can't be bothered to do that much, then don't leave nonsensical comments. Go and take care of your own homeless cats instead. Surely there must be some in Austria, too. Peace!
@budgettroubleblog well, I wasn't in a good mood, just thought another Japan-luvy-duvy-girl post something about another cat café, my mistake, but a good thing that I got to know a cafe like this. Have to admit that I've never heard of something like this before. Since when does this café exist? and well, in Austria (suprised that you checked were I come from) there're for sure homeless cats too, but not much in my city. There're more problems with dogs from the abroad and factory farming.
the cats look really relaxed--I like to see that...and they look pretty well taken care of.

@Ellavemia
But that would defeat the purpose (and concept) of a cat cafe ;-)

That's true. Roaches and rats in restaurants are OK, but cats! Unthinkable! ;-)

Yes, it is. But I'm hearing that not all cafe cafes are as nice and classy as this one. We're really lucky.

@budgettroubleblog but they still get a psychological damage.
PaprekiiPhone 10 months ago
@PaprekiiPhone but of course they get no psychological damage being homeless on the street, right?
