I'm alright with lowering taxes, but think we need to cut some expense too. If we're going to cut social security, fine, but I want back what I've paid. If we're going to cut edu. funding, then we need to understand that we won't have skilled labor in this country. If we're going to reduce further taxes on corporations, then they should legally be required to keep manufacturing jobs in this country. Also, cut defense spending. We can no longer afford to police the entire plant.

I'm alright with lowering taxes, but think we need to cut some expense too. If we're going to cut social security, fine, but I want back what I've paid. If we're going to cut edu. funding, then we need to understand that we won't have skilled labor in this country. If we're going to reduce further taxes on corporations, then they should legally be required to keep manufacturing jobs in this country. Also, cut defense spending. We can no longer afford to police the entire plant.

More money is questionable, some crafts make more money than professional jobs. Factories or manufacturing created both professional and labor, every factory has an engineer and labors, etc, Everybody can't be at the top, it won't work. Socialists have lost touch with this principle. Where would we get our food? Who would deliver it? Who would prepare it? Get it?

We are slaves, tax slaves. With chattel slavery you were lucky to get 50% production, you had to feed, etc. We are taxed at over 60% combined and you have to feed yourself. We don't own our property (serfs) we rent it, my property tax is 5000. You don't own your property if it is paid for, we are common tenants, read your deed. To put sales tax on food is a sin and tyranny. Our water is taxed, they would tax your for air if they could figure out how to put a meter on your ass.

I think its about time we stopped being the worlds sheriff and rebuilding everyone we invade. Political war is also something we gotta stop. Back in world war 2 we put everything we had into it and now we stay for a decade. What im trying to say is America has surtainly stumbled but i think we can straighten out. O and i truly do apereciate your dads service.

@CharleyFarley1040 Bless you for praying and writing this comment. While serving in the USAF during the 1980s I spent time in the UK and met a lot of great people. God Bless your father for his courage in defending Britain and being the last standing defense of freedom until the US entered the war. The relationship will survive Obama. We've survived as bad or worse and the bottom line is that when the chips are really down the US and UK have been the most true allies.

@dcrt08I would agree if in fact you add Canada to the list! My Father fought in WW2 from the time of his enlistment, through North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium and then Holland. Canada has been there when it counts!

I see memorials in every tiny village. Its like they have something to prove.The south of France ,Vichy France, was not occupied by the Germans, they were allowed to govern themselves, because they collaborated with the Nazis.But they have more memorials than we do ! They also sent Allied airmen to the Germans to be shot.
