  • This was from a UK TV program called The Tube, broadcast live on Friday between 5pm and 7pm. I seem to remember this as early '85 but it's along time ago so could well be late '84. Only the first four songs were broadcast - the last two Greenland Whale Fisheries and Transmetroplitan were as far as I know never broadcast. Anyway, that's the reason the crowd were pretty static - You'd see the same people in there every week on TV! Including the dancers!

  • AH! i remember these early days gigs very well not a celtic fan in sight ,shane playing guitar and the pogues playing the barras in glasgow

  • @guitarmaninthedrum Not that well- the 1st time they played the Barras Phil Chevron was with them( as he was at the QMU in May 85) and i remember a load of Celtic fans there :-) I'm gonna try in future to post QMU gig up here
