There were seven barren women in the Scriptures of whom SIX eventually were given children. Barrenness were not a curse on the woman per se, but judgement on the disobedience of a nation.

@joelisraelatyahoo I have been in bible study with a pastor who keeps hinting at me coming to worship at his church. They eat the Lord's supper every Sunday & he believes that the early church practiced Sunday worship habitually (and uses scriptures referring to when the early church met on the 1st day of the week). I don't believe that those scriptures ordain Sunday worship; they are just instances in which the early church met on the 1st day...what do you believe in this matter?

@littleton6370. God tells us (children of God) to test everything and judge righteously. Judging just means to remind each other what we are doing wrong so that we can repent and be forgiven. Repentance is the key, When the realization of Sin has been revealed to the individual, they must repent and ask God forgiveness of their sins. Our purpose on earth is to help one another not tear down each other. As I go out into the world to be a "fisher of men" if the person is gay, I will show love ask them to come to church and encourage them to read God's word. Hm..I thought what is a sin is actually the act of homosexuality and not simply being gay? I look it at a different perspective, someone may be born gay but he/she does not have to live or do the act of homosexuality. In fact I've known a lot of gay people who have been fully healed, whom are now straight and happily married and have children.

Jesus said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you." (Matt. 21:31b). It doesn't mean that these corrupt and sexually immoral people can enter heaven WHILE embracing their sins (I Cor. 6:9-10), but AFTER their TRUE REPENTANCE (I Cor. 6:11) which should manifest in their lives. Likewise, the context of what Osteen is saying is that gays can truly repent and be delivered from homosexuality and enter heaven.

Osteen said there are many PATHs to Jesus, not many WAYS TO BELIEVE in Him as what you said. In the Middle East where missionaries are being killed, I've heard testimonies of conversion, how Jesus revealed Himself to these people. To believe that one can keep his false religion as long as he also believes in God is a deception. You must have a true relationship with Jesus to be saved and grow in faith. Jesus can reach out and lead sincere people to a church where they will grow in their faith.
It is true that Oprah has some unbiblical ideas about salvation and homosexuality, but it doesn't mean they can never change. I think, we're better off praying for her enlightenment than criticizing her for her unbiblical beliefs. Many people who used to belong to false religions or were atheists have found the truth, and are preaching Jesus now. It seems that Oprah is also searching for the truth, the fact that she's asking Mr Osteen some questions. It may be little by little, who knows.
Jesus said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you." (Matt. 21:31b). It doesn't mean that these corrupt and sexually immoral people can enter heaven WHILE embracing their sins (I Cor. 6:9-10), but AFTER their TRUE REPENTANCE (I Cor. 6:11) which should manifest in their lives. Likewise, the context of what Osteen is saying is that gays when they truly repent can enter heaven and also be delivered from the spirit of homosexuality.

@TheDiscipleJ Matt 24 is talking about the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. the word "saved" is not being killed by the Romans. In verse 14 the word "world" is misinterpreted. The Greek interpretation should be "land" You need to look at the whole chapter not just one verse. There is no future fulfillment. Yeah, I know many people disagree with this. That's ok. I try to keep a open mind, most people don't.
@joelisraelatyahoo, you are not listening to Joel in the big picture. Jesus said that those who are not against us is for us. Also, there is one Judge and that is God alone. Joel is doing his calling which is to encourage people to have a relationship with God through Jesus. Once anyone accepts Jesus as their savior, it is then up to the Holy Spirit to convict the believer through the Word and through Gods own way. Just encourage people to believe and let God do the rest.

It also shows that God himself is capable of either shutting up a womb or opening it as he wishes (Exodus 23:26, Deuteronomy 7:14). There were seven barren women in the Scriptures of whom SIX eventually were given children. Barrenness were not a curse on the woman per se, but judgement on the disobedience of a nation.

They eat the Lord's supper every Sunday & he believes that the early church practiced Sunday worship habitually (and uses scriptures referring to when the early church met on the 1st day of the week). Osteen said there are many PATHs to Jesus, not many WAYS TO BELIEVE in Him as what you said. In the Middle East where missionaries are being killed, I've heard testimonies of conversion, how Jesus revealed Himself to these people. To believe that one can keep his false religion as long as he also believes in God is a deception. You must have a true relationship with Jesus to be saved and grow in faith. Jesus can reach out and lead sincere people to a church where they will grow in their faith.

I think, we're better off praying for her enlightenment than criticizing her for her unbiblical beliefs. The Greek interpretation should be "land" You need to look at the whole chapter not just one verse. There is no future fulfillment. Yeah, I know many people disagree with this. That's ok. Joel is doing his calling which is to encourage people to have a relationship with God through Jesus. Once anyone accepts Jesus as their savior, it is then up to the Holy Spirit to convict the believer through the Word and through Gods own way. Just encourage people to believe and let God do the rest.

@Soul7Patrol Romans 8:1 says, There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. I would say that since there is no condemnation for us, then we should have none in us to give to others. We are not carriers of condemnation-we see the world through Jesus' eyes and He is the one who said that He did not come to condemn the world.
