I started violin when I was 6. I've been playing for half my life and my Pppy says I am to no longe be considered a beginner/student bcause of how good I am.

Now, Iam trying o teach myself Guitar.

My Poppy built my violin and the guitar.... Violin is roughl 10xharder than guitar but because I know violin Guitar seems impossible. XD

You have a good feel for the song. Add more vibrato, and it will be even better.Try going up an octave, in play in 3rd/4th sounds better, or just play in 3rd the whole song, it takes away the harshness of 1st position.

Beautiful!!! I've been playing for a few years now, with a break when my violin needed new pegs and repairs and I had to save up, and you played that beautifully! I couldn't have done that well!

I love your violin's sound. It sounds a bit like mine. I have a Chezch(?) 90 year old violin.

I didn't like this. And I don't think it's your fault, I just think that this peice was not made for the violin. In fact, I don't think it would sound good on any of the strings. Would be interesting to hear it on a low celo though, might work.

Highlights: Your notes were in tune and you have a great sense of rythm.

Areas to improve on: I think the sound was a little too harsh. This song should make us feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.

Hey dude! Sounds very nice, everyone can see what musical points you want to reach in this song.

Just try a slower vibrato and deny changes of the strings.. especially from a to g you should not change.

I play this song on my viola and i use the 3. position.

Maybe you try it and let me know if it works :]

I have played for 8 years, none of these other commentors mus undestand just how difficult the violin really is. Even masters make beginner's mistakes. I think youve done a decent job considering the difficulty of the film's violin pieces.

@lilypadd100 Yeah it would be less of a hassle to play violin. One of the girls in my grade school orchestra played the viola and she said it was irritating to get her viola tuned because most shops only knew how to tune violins!

Ahhh i see.....everytime i go to my Viola lessons, the teacher has to tune them up :) But i had only heard of a viola once i started playing it :) We are doing a performance later this term (basicly in the middle of the year) so gotta get practicing....it does hurt my fingers when i press them on the strings tho :( but they've gotten better...sometimes i have silver marks on them !

I think your sound could be a little fuller, maybe a little more legato and controlled. Control your sound, but don't be afraid to play out, you seem very reserved. Be strong and emotional. It will come through in the music. :)

I don't play violin, but I've played flute for a number of years. And you can always see a player improve just by showing some confidence. A bit of confidence (read: not cockiness) will really show in a piece, and an audience will pick up on it. And then it doesn't matter if you messed up a note, because the rest of the piece is full and profound.

Try to play unplugged, and show the feelings that are expressed by the song, But its really nice to hear=)
