How do i change the w4a to a w4r. I went followed everything step by step. I have vista and i see where it says it at but it wont let me change it. What do i do?
Okay, it syncs the ringtones to my iPhone, But then it gets stuck on syncing contacts and bookmarks everytime I try to sync my iPhone.. it says syncing contacts to ______'s iPhone, then it stays there.. plzzz help
Does this work for the first ever Iphone? I'm having some issues while using a PC, every step works except it's not syncing onto my phone. Please help! : (
I am on a PC, was following along beautifully but when you showed how you just drug in the song from Itunes to Audacity, I could not do that. You said you were importing it by dragging and I couldn't do that so now I'm stuck! Can you help?
What version of garageband are you using? I have the version that came with the macbook which is version 3.0.4 and there is no send ringtone option...just send song to itunes option....any fix for that or do i just have an outdated version?
Work around is really easy...just go "Share" --> export song to disk....and save it on your desktop and do the same thing. Or if that still doesnt work just get a free editing suite....they are really easy to find esp on torrent sites.
Ayo, great stuff...does this conversion work with DRM music bought through Itunes? I tried to create AAC version from this song, and it won't let me since it is a DRM file. Any help?
i don't know.. i never tried it with music that have DRM. maybe it won't work because they put a lock on it so you have to buy it off of itunes. just download the same song and turn that one into a ringtone lol.
i'm having problems converting the file from m4a to m4r. i have a pc and you say to right click from explorer and then click get info to change to m4r. the problem is..."get info" is not an option. therefore i'm stuck on how to convert it to m4r. any suggestions?
Haha, it's alright David. Us Mac users know so much about everything Apple related that we forget about the simple things. I'm a big fan by the way, and thanks for commenting.
Windows users: Open itunes select song right click, and select options, choose the section Start:, and End: (select a section you like) then right click the song create AAC version, drag the AAC version to the desktop and change the extension. Before you drag it back in delete the old version, drag the new version in and your done!
Also sean, an easier way, is to make the song 20 seconds long. Edit it in the itunes itself, the song options. And then just change the .mp3 to i think mp3r

*****Windows Users*****
go to the folder that the file is in then go to,
Tools>>Folder Options>>View tab
then UNcheck 'Hide File Extensions for known file types'
then you'll be able to edit the file extension.
