I really loved this one. Loved everything in it. The pace, the mood, the voiceovers and etc. Lion King is always my first choice when I'm feeling down and need to vent...I think it's so true. And this video is honest and sincere to me. Really nice, Imani.
AND YOU USED THE 'YOU SAID YOU'D ALWAYS BE THERE FOR ME' SO WELL /DIESSSSSSSS. IT WAS HOT WHEN YOU SLOWED THINGS DOWNNNNNNNN AND DEN THE BEAT JUST HIT IT :C
- were executed nicely, as well as the slowed down bits. The motion movement worked to the video's advantage in that way. Not sure how to explain it, but it just made the emotion and overall look stronger. And mm, the reverse effect. Simba's own insecurities getting the better of him in the end and choosing to turn away from responsibility rather than face it...really strong portrayal there with the effect. Great idea. Hope to see more of these emotional AMVs from ya; you're really very good. ^^

I just love how the colors complemented the mood of the song and what I love is how those vibrant colors clashed with that somewhat gray scale colors. I really think you do such a perfectly good job with instrumental, not a lot of people can pull it off really well. And really digging the voiceovers as well 8D
I decided to not say anything about the voiceovers when you showed it to me on MSN, so I would have more to say when I was gonna comment. Bad idea, because combined with the editing I must say I'm kinda speechless.
But yeah, the "I don't think you really deserve this" was genius, I've never really seen anybody use that line from the movie before ( I bet it will get raped NOW, though ). The whole thing was powerful, but that part made me smile really hard.
@christinem2007 And having Simba in a golden-red-green color against a gray background in some places was very refreshing. Only thing I can pick on is the chroma-keyer at the end, where it sometimes take away some of Simba's muzzle, it is quite faint however and not very noticeable.In the end I loved it all. I'm very proud of you. ♥

@Keyinei ok so as you already know i am in LOVE with videos that use a very big contrast in effects or themes or clips or WHATEVER. big contrast = YES YES. the pale eggwhite against that ... er... YOLKY colour (see, eggwhite, yolk, I come up with the best analogies) was gorgeous. utterly gorgeous. it's like a shock, but not a big sear-your-retinas shock, more like a soft snowball to the groin shock. a good shock.
the song itself is beautiful too. very, um...me...llow. yes.
@Keyinei i love the bit of reversal and switching back to the image of the vultures settling on the 'carcass' i mean do you get any more symbolic than that??
