  • I was there brought my younger bro for his 18th bday july 23 yea it was a amazn experience and if you were there you know y shit went south the last night had nothin to do with the music I've ben to some of the largest crowds this country has cn for rock n roll and the music doesn't make you go insane its the members of the band (g n r) or the promoters turnin off the water or lettn the porta jons overflow into tent city or overpriced everything or telln 250000 people that the cops r comn

  • One of the most talented acts at Woodstock

  • one of the greatest singe/songwriters lost in the change and crave for meaningless whiney baby music(korn/limp bizkit)

  • isn't she lovely ? :)

  • does she ever stop walking?

  • @Gresaaa She has to keep moving to dogde all the shit being thrown up on stage.

  • @SkydivePhoenix i hope you're being sarcastic D:

  • @Gresaaa Clearly not. If you look closely at 49-50 seconds in, you might be able to see soem dude almost being thrown up on stage. Poor thing.

  • @myjumper needs to be burned.

  • @StevieStarry Excuse me?

  • buenisima

  • She married a Hip Hop dude. Fail

  • I swear she said it's a free high when you've already paid. I know that's not the original lyric, but it sure sounds like high and not ride. You know what? If I was on that stage in front of that many people, I'd probably fire up a doobie as well.

She always rocks in my opinion. Probably one of the best singers out there period and she seems pretty cool to hang out with as well.

    Hell yeah!

  • and woodstock was there @ that moment

  • i dont believe she was on drugs... may b a lil tipsy! and jus havin a great time. peace!!

  • damn shes baked

  • @TinaMang yea def

  • I know... it's impeding the performance :/

  • I'm so lucky to be born in the early 90s and even though i was 9 i loved Alanis.

  • that's me at 3:03

  • she is the Grace Slick of `99

  • Is awasome :D

  • she rocked this shit out no lie

  • i'm not the biggest Alanis fan but I remember this sunset like it was yesterday Woodstock 99 was amazing.

  • @ZiggyNcali I WAS PEACE PATROL AND IN THE PIT CREW FOR THIS! AND I AGREE WITH YOU IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! SHAME IT ALL ENDED THE WAY IT DID....

  • the little flyleaf bitch is ripping on alanis morisettes style! She tries to sing like her to.

  • @MrIMPATIENCE yeah, but is she showing her respect by doing it? one of the best ways to honor someone is to imitate that person. "the highest form of flattery is imitation." perhaps the singer of flyleaf was influenced by alanis. it would be kinda hard not to be, alanis morisette is a great musician, and if you want to be great, wouldn't you try to follow in the footsteps of the greatest? how many bands have a sound similar to metallica? should strategists not imitate alexander the great?

  • what was thrown at her at 2:00 lol

  • @jud12345678910 it seems like a bootle

  • @jud12345678910 A Coke bottle , during Thank U someone threw a beer bottle on stage....

  • what a great voice

  • me too

  • Alanis is the only hippy that I respect, I'm a thrash metal fan, she sure does alot better than these douche commercial female singers that are out these days!

  • @MrIMPATIENCE idk but if shes a lot better, paramore is a pretty good girl band from today

  • @MrIMPATIENCE - Same here man! I am a huge metalhead and I love thrash, but I do respect some 90s alternative artists. Alanis is one of them.

  • I'd give both my testicles to have been there,

  • Such a GREAT 3 Days!!! I got there Thursday night and left Sunday... Brings back great memories... I DEFINITELY MISS this time period in my life.

  • WTF?! No moshing? I would SO mosh to this shit.

  • this is what the 90's was about man i mean those cons today that think they can write music it all came from this era people now all write about fireflies and crap back then its how you felt.

  • TOO MUCH IRONY!!!!

  • @eyemknotstoopid Where!?

  • where can I download this concert video of Alanies morissette live woodstock 99.

  • 1:59 i thought american people had manners...I love alanis

  • Love the guy at 0:49 =D

  • Not really a fan of hers but this was a great performance, I didn't see the time at first and thought this was done at the sunrise, seemed so cool.

  • shes god...according to dogma. great voice. GREAT voice.

  • how can you not like this song, its so good in this performance

  • some day i will see alanis walking down the street, i will call her into my car, then we will rip a fat joint.

  • she looks gorgeous!

fuck the dudes throwing the bottles

  • She was there? huh. . .

  • @chairiis Either that or really really high on weed lol. Maybe a combination of both? Nonetheless, still lover her!

  • shes the only hippie at this thing. nothing can top 69.

  • Dude what would Woodstock be without a few hippies on stage? I mean Jimmy Hendrix was the king of Woodstock and it doesn't get much more hippie than that.

She wasn't the only one though. The lead singer of Sevendust passed around a joint in the middle of a song haha, and he also told everyone in woodstock to turn around and look at a rainbow in the middle of the song "Bitch" lol. It's pretty funny, you can look it up on here.

  • @Minacious - if you think a hippies are just people who "passed around a joint" you are sadly mistaken.

  • If you think the lead singer of Sevendust isn't a hippie, you are sadly mistaken.

  • if he is a hippie (quite frankly i dont care if he is or not) it is not because he takes drugs but because of his political views and lifestyle choices in general.

being a hippie is nothing to do with drugs. it was drugs that essentially killed the hippie era (see altamont for good example - tell me the fans at that event are real hippies - but all of them are stoned)

  • You're preaching to the choir musiclad. Who cares about hippies?

  • @mattus777 - she wasn't the only hippie at this thing. she's not a hippie. just because she looks like one here doesnt mean she is one.

  • 69 had alot of shitty music. plus shes not a hippie. what does hippies have to do with music anyways?

  • '69 had no shitty music. And thats a dumb question.... Hippies moved music. The experimentation with drugs, made people do crazy things. There is no such thing as soul in people's music these days. Hippies are about love... and peace. No judgments of anyone, it's pure beauty. Thats what Woodstock was about; 3 days of peace and music. There would be nothing close to this type of music, if there weren't hippies. Don't disrespect.

  • 69 had tons of shitty music. i cant think of any good music from the 60's actually. give me some examples of songs you think are good and i will take it upon myself to listen to them unbiased and give a truthful opinion about them. and dont get me wrong, i think we need some more hippie ideals. and i do agree about the soul thing these days, however it is out there. just few and far between.

  • The 60's are the only years that The Beatles existed, so consider that.//Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit, Somebody to Love.//The Band - The Weight.//Jimi Hendrix - Star Spangled Banner, Wild thing, Little Wing, Are you Experienced, Bold as Love, Purple Haze.// The Rolling Stones - Paint it Black, Get out my Cloud//The Who - Teenage Wasteland//And lest we forget, The Beach Boys - Wouldn't it be Nice, I Get Around, Surfin USA. Now, I don't know you, of your taste, but these songs are classic.

  • i dont like the beatles. the only song i like by them is twist and shout. well there are some others that are ok but nothing special. jimi hendrix plays guitar annyoingly, meaning he makes it squeal alot. i dont like rolling stones or the who but teenage wasteland is a good song. and i do like the beach boys but theyre more of a 50's band. 50's music is amazing. ill check out those other ones though

  • If you like that Beatles song, give these a listen: Drive My Car, She Loves You Ya Ya, Can't Buy Me Love [pick one, haha.] Jimi Hendrix is soul :/ Some people don't get it.. but hey, can't make everyone love hippies. . He plays lefty... haha an upside down Stratocaster. That 'squealing' is distortion, and was one of the first people to use this 'dirty' sound, because it caught every touch he put apon his guitar. I appreciate your consideration nonetheless.

  • the fact you don't like any of those legends means you just fail mate, so your opinion really isn't valid.

  • now here we go again. AGAIN! "legends" im sure there are people out there that hate these bands we're talking about with so much passion. so "legends" is an opinion. but if you think that only classic rock type music are "legends" i also like lynyrd skynyrd, molly hatchet, boston and rush. everyones opinion is valid and....what did i fail at? i didnt do anything therefore i can not be a failure at it, whatever "it" is

  • @beastabuelos - just to point out - i dont want to argue - the beach boys were a 60s band. they were nowhere near the 50s.

do you not like the temptations, the supremes, the four tops or any of the motown stuff?

and what about simon and garfunkel, joni mitchell, melanie, joan baez, bob dylan, peter paul and mary or any of the folk stuff?

the 60s were probably the best decade for music (along with the 40's) and certainly the most influential decade in music history.

  • @the1musiclad no i havent heard of any of them except bob dylan and i dont like him. in my opinion the best music decades were 50's 70's 80's depending on the genre (by which i mean alot of wonderful stuff was played then, as well as alot of trash) and 90's. and theres still good music to be found today if you know where to look

  • Kay, it's cool that you agree, but it is a valid opinion.

  • You seem like the type of person that would live off of porge and rice crackers..

  • if you mean porage, no, i hate porage. if you mean rice cakes, sure theyre ok

  • @beastabuelos the beatles, jimi hendrix, the guess who, free. Enough said

  • @litatyas except i hate all them except free, which ive never heard of

  • so true

  • @mattus777 if i cud see the 1969 one I would have loved to see CCR :)

  • rain on your wedding day would only be ironic if you were getting married to a weather man and he set the date

    ed byrne

  • Amazing

She reminds of Dolores O'Riordan from the Cranberries (which is a compliment)

  • ul wish ur life away lol :)

  • None of these things are really ironic. It's just bad luck. "Doesnt it suck" should be the catchphrase.

  • wat do u think bad luck is?

  • are you dumb? bad luck is irony. dumbass

  • @themaninthabox No it isn't....

  • Great song at new Woodstock 99 !
