i only watched 2012 for the destruction, to see people dying, explosions, death, depressing scenes and actually enjoy people's suffering as they attempt surviving the' end of days'. i must agree its corny as shit, cheesy and i hate when they try to connect 'family love' and 'togetherness' into a despressing movie. personally i would just show the destruction and riots and people killing each other. i would rate the movie a D

Yes, and the pyroclastic material that would explode in all directions would vaporize everything before the ash cloud ever hit. I would all be over in the blink of an eye. When Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1980 the pyroclastic material instantly incinerated everything in a 50 mile stretch to the east of the volcano when the east side of the mountain exploded, and that is nothing compared to what would happen during a caldera explosion.
