Are you kidding me ? This movie will be a classic! You need to watch it again. I saw this movie at onlinemoviehouse. com , you missed the whole meaning!
@LpJunior537 no thats not true at all. get your facts right. the shifting of the magnetic poles would cause NOTHING to change except the reading on your compass
@LpJunior537 ok that would do some things, but not what you mention. well maybe some tsunamis but mostly it would just change air and ocean currents which can therefore cause change in climate (not severe but it would be different)
i only watched 2012 for the destruction, to see people dying, explosions, death, depressing scenes and actually enjoy people's suffering as they attempt surviving the' end of days'. i must agree its corny as shit, cheesy and i hate when they try to connect 'family love' and 'togetherness' into a despressing movie. personally i would just show the destruction and riots and people killing each other. i would rate the movie a D
not a bad movie...but why try and add the moral of the story when there wasn't really a story to begin with...and Amanda Peet has officially become a MILF...
Yes, and the pyroclastic material that would explode in all directions would vaporize everything before the ash cloud ever hit. I would all be over in the blink of an eye. When Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1980 the pyroclastic material instantly incinerated everything in a 50 mile stretch to the east of the volcano when the east side of the mountain exploded, and that is nothing compared to what would happen during a caldera explosion.
This movie was long but you wont recognize the lenght when ur watching it. The cheesy parts i didn't even care about them. The special effects were awesome.
great movie! There were some cheesy scenes but it's a damn movie. Don't listen to the critics...they are idiots. It's a great weekend movie...def see it in theatre...at least a bargain matinee.
I LOVE IT!!!!!

The poles have shifted ALREADY a few times..
Gahagafaga 2 years ago 5
Yeah but It takes over 10,000 years for them to fully shift.
TheBlobinator 2 years ago
Life was still there 10,000 years ago, and I dont think anything major happened then either.
Gahagafaga 2 years ago
actually youre wrong. the poles can switch in a few years. they just stay steady for about 10000
kirbydude385 2 years ago
@TheBlobinator not true, it can be as short as a month
LpJunior537 1 year ago
@Gahagafaga about 9000 bc was the last time

Yellowstone National Park is a super volcano. It would erupt with such force that the ash cloud would travel at super-sonic speed.
