@khirandra54 it depends what kind of fish for example bass you have to set the hook just in case the fish isnt hooked at all or isnt hooked very well for fish like bluegill(brim) you do not need to set the hook just keep tension on the line

Get up really close to them , and drop a fake grub in them , and right when they pick it up set the hook
