  • @iAREanthonyy Must always stay silent and can never successfully vent. If start talking, feedback is "too intense" or "you know too much" or the worst "are you finished" ? (get off your weird stick) Can be emotionally painful to be so misunderstood. When admired for insight or creativity, its like being an animal in a zoo. No connection on their part to you.

  • That is so funny how your brain, in effect, told you to stop overthinking when you met your future self in your dream!

Cool also how you describe your dream flying style.

I have recurring dream where my legs do some sort of helicopter thing and I can go up and down--but for the same reason as it helps me see better.

Keep thinking how lucid dreaming may help PTSD sufferers after watching this video.

  • There's herbs that you can take before bed that are supposed to help you lucid dream

  • I love watch INtp videos they are always so interesting!!! I'm an infj/intj and I have some serious Ti envy going on! wish I was an INtp. I wish I could think the way you all think about the world and how you are able to describe what you are thinking

  • @bigbufobufo It's a blessing and a curse. A blessing because we are generally less ignorant and mundane than most people. Not to mention a bit smarter.

It sucks though because sometimes we INTPs go internally insane and want to just take a thought break and get grounded in reality. Analyzing results in more knowledge of things, but is mentally exhausting and stressful. The fact that we are such a small group and most people don't understand us doesn't help because we can't vent.

  • I try to imagine myself graving stuff like concrete, I mean feeling it as if you are feeling it in real life, the texture and everything, and that really helps me start lucid dreaming.

  • ever try to find out what time it is in your dreams??? or ask another person in your dream if they are aware that it is a dream?? i think it would be interesting if you had asked that to your 'true self'..im an intp n I've been lucid dreaming my entire life but never thought to ask for my trueself...could be interesting

  • I really want to try this now! btw im also an INTP and i have been awake, like you said, in dreams but haven't been able to stay in it and be aware for very long.

  • @everlastlink Cool, well stick with it. I haven't had a lucid dream in months it seems like. If you stop doing the reality checks you have a lot less lucid dreams is what I've realized. It's all about being diligent and keeping your expectations up.

  • @MrZah0010 Yeh, fellow INTPs check out this video. /watch?v=9c8an2XZ3MU

What type is your dad anywho?

  • I am an INTP and I have always been so interested in this concept. Just the idea of being in a different world makes me so excited. There is always more to learn and I would have described it the same way. Great job!

  • Wow, I do this all the time. I didn't even know what it was called, or that you could keep yourself n the dream. That's super cool.

  • Flying dreams are the coolest, I've always felt these paralleled faith (Christianity). So you are a believer? That's awesome! I am an INTP too, and I got VERY interested in the sort of thing you are talking about, but I took it even further. I actually started having out of body experiences/remote viewing and trying to control these types of things. The dreaming is probably okay, but just be careful where you take it. I was also starting to use drugs to take things further.

  • @GardenofWar1 ...(continued from prior comment) How to get rid of the character limit? Anyhow, it all changed when I started getting oppressed by demons, both physically and spiritually til one day I had an demon chase me. God put 2 scriptures in my mind; and I ran to my fiance and mother and one of them said "in the name of Jesus Christ, fill him with the Holy Spirit" From that point on I believe in God because his presence was made known to me; Light actually burst into my chest and...

  • @GardenofWar1 the demon fled. I stayed away from that sort of thing after that because I felt like all I had been doing was opening up doors for the demons. The things of God, that he shows me through/in His Spirit are so much cooler anyways, and I don't have to fear going astray or being put in harms way. Anyhow, interesting video, and I will say it's also nice to see a "not so nerdy" INTP, no offense. I was probably the most popular kid in my high school, not that I fit in, but because I faked

  • @GardenofWar1 it so well. Truly though I don't know that this was a good exchange. I felt like a traitor to my own skin and soul, and was dreadfully alone despite having all the friends I could ask for, yet no one really knew me. Anyhow, God bless man. Seek and you will find. Christ is King!!!

  • Hey bro, fellow Intp here. I can understand why we like this type of thing.. Creating a world, going on adventures, and controlling reality. Very interesting things to explore. Anyways, just wanted to say hang in there on your faith though. Among college students Intps had the highest alcohol/drug violations. According to a poll we are the third highest to be atheists and second highest to be agnostic. If I didn't have my christian faith, I'd be a very disturbed person..

  • That's you 'hyped up'!?! Doen't matter, you're hot.

  • i dont really lucid dream. but if i watch really technical stuff say of a parkour/freerunning video alot during a day. i'll do that in my dreams but really technical. you know the film jumper when he's 'jumping' with the car i was doing that except whilst running.

  • Ever read Dreamside by Graham Joyce? It's fiction, but it's well researched. You should check it out.

  • On "meeting the real self"; check out Jungian archetypes. I see you're into mbti, if you looking into Jung further you might find some ways to use dreams to find the real self, or to continue on the path to "individuation" (another jungian concept). I suppose it would be interesting to just google "jung+dreams". Oh and cheers for the lucid dreaming info, dreaming is a really interesting psychological phenomena.

  • thats really weird that you posted this.. i've been tampering with the same thing lately..i was psyched when i found this book (Complete Illustrated Encyclopedia Symbols Interpretation) you should check it out

  • Great video!:)
