I've heard that Letterman is really touchy about guests talking to him during commercial breaks, that he insists on having the music play so loud during commercial breaks that guests literally can't talk to him. Still, I doubt he'd be that way with Amy. Must have been something else.

I love her to death, and normally she and Letterman have a really great chemistry, but towards the end this one made me kind of sad. Clearly, either Dave or his producers didn't want her to embarrass him or tease him, and I think she was kind of hurt because she was just being herself, and, to dispel the tension, Dave brings up her movie and acts fake.

@dionysosin2012 I totally disagree. It's just a little side convo about rolling napkins, you can't stay on that subject forever. Not to mention, it is an odd convo to begin with. I don't think there was tension, the convo was just petering out. Dave's not being fake, he's simply moving the convo along, before actual tension has time to develop.
