  • everyone's giving him shit for not rippin but do you notice hes clearing every jump on that little track? He'd be over shooting everything if he was "hammering" it.

  • Type in derek howler ton 2012 ktm 250 that's how you pin. Replace clutch change she ain't blowing up. Watch Randall Everett blue diamond ya 250 braaaap

  • You guys say nice sounding. Didn't even hear the power ban once. Thing sounds gutless my 125 or my dads old 1990 cr 250 has way more power then that piece

  • Open that thing up dude, she is begging you to rip the piss out of that clutch and hammer that motor till she blows up

  • @joeyhabs9814 Beings you have a 125, I see why you don't understand. 250s don't need to be pinned all the time like a 125, they have torque or "low end" power. And it's not a good idea to rip the piss out of it and hammer the motor until it blow up.

  • normally i dont like 2stroke bikes.... but this is a really nice one :P

  • You can tell its been a while since youve ridden a smoker. Lugging it around like a 450 lol. Crack the whip on that bitch!

  • ooww 2stroke 250 forever!! such fun to ride i always had rm's loved them but always wanted a sx. sweet vid

  • nice i love it. any reliability issues so far?

  • pretty sure all 125s r higher then most bikes

  • Tracks in the US always look so easy, almost every track is hard pack dirt,

thats not hard to ride at all, but anyway cool video,

  • @juudje62 hard to ride no, but race yes

  • man ive always wanted a ktm there such sick bikes. kinda expensive tho, found a great deal on a 09 yz250f for 3g so i had to get it

  • @jgarafalo1187 nice pick, do you race mx or just ride for fun?

  • @chinesekid7000 i kinda just ride for fun. i did my first race last year tho at cleaverack mx newyork. it was sick i shoulda started racing back when i first started riding dirtbikes

  • @jgarafalo1187 Yeah, alot of work n money though. just wondered because apparently 250f's need more maintenance than any other bike (and i ride mostly enduro), so I personally would probably only own 1 if I used it just for mx, whats the 09 yz250f like for power?

  • @chinesekid7000 its pretty fast a snappy i like it so far i had a older yz 250 n it feels better than that one. it was a 99 so it was like brand new

  • good choice on the bike!

  • Long Live 2-Strokes!!!!!

  • Is there no kill switch

  • @TheKtmchamp its right by his left hand just in side the grip... 3:52

  • slow much?

  • @9512sa leave him alone lol he's just some random that's getting back into bikes, so what if he's slow to start with

  • This video makes we want to ride so much ! This April will be great

  • ktm needs to make a 500 2t. nice sounding bike man

  • @dirtbiker2244 I had a KTM360 2 stroke, it was a fuckin beast

  • @dirtbiker2244 lol THEY MADE A 550 2 STROKE... in 1994 - 550MXC - the most powerful dirt bike ever made and could pull away from the legendary CR500R or KX500.. Dirt Bike Magazine reported that they were the fastest in the class.

The biggest 2 stroke dirt bike made was the ATK 700 Intimidator - it made 65hp stock, the 550MXC made 62hp, but with a pipe and reeds about 65 to 67!! Wish KTM didn't stop developing big bore 2 strokes, they could have the meanest bike ever by now.

  • wich go pro do u have

  • is bike like this good for begginer

  • @ThePartisan1998 No. I think its good for a Novice, Vet or Intermediate rider.

  • @ThePartisan1998 not really, get a crf250x or something, or a yz125

  • @chinesekid7000 lol or KTM 150sx or 250SX-F

  • are you using a go pro cam ?

  • @dreamworld3 Yes...has its drawbacks but it works OK.

  • @lpbraganca11 did you not get on it much because it was still being broken in basically? or what?

  • @lpbraganca11 WHATS IT LIKE COMPARED TO THE 450s?

  • Comment removed

  • @dreamworld3 no he's using a potato !

  • @dreamworld3 no he using his iphone 4s lol

  • ur barely touching the throttle and that suckers moving! good luck on getting used to the 2 strokes ;)

  • how much did it cost im looking to get rid of my 125

  • @cf321048 about US$ 6900 without taxes

  • @cf321048 whats a good height for getting a 125

  • 250 cc is alll you need ever...

  • @TheFunnysamnoob333 Even 125cc is enought :D

  • I wish I could hear that thing open up on a bigger track, couldnt hear it scream! lol

  • @TheYamaha122 bigger track? what like Glen Helen?? hahaha, man he's just putting in 3rd n 4th like he said in description.. this thing could go wild on this track in the right hands

  • Whats your name?

  • nice vid! love the 2 stroke

  • Boggin the shit outa that thing lol

  • @66patrickbrown you bet!!!

  • how tall are you, im 5'6, would a 250 be a good size?

  • @SuperBruceklein your best bet is to try one out mate at your local dealer :)

  • @SuperBruceklein Sure - I think all KTM's are the same seat height (125, 150 and 250)

  • @SuperBruceklein depends on your weight...250's have a hell of a lot of power and will kick you around if your smaller

  • @SuperBruceklein hieght has nothing to do with waht bike is right for you

  • @SuperBruceklein the question is can you handle a 250 2 stroke

  • silly 4 stroke, those r for pussies!

  • can u please do a elmit cam of this, nice riding by the way

  • Jt Classic gear? And a 250sx 2012!:)

  • Keep the 2 stroke alive!

  • im from Puerto Rico and waiting for mine coming from florida a 2012 from cycle sport center yeahhh and selling my kx250f monster edition 2009 cause i really dont like it

  • i was there that day ha.

  • how do you like the new bike?

    I want one bad!!!

  • I am coming off a 450 so it feels super light and much more powerful, yet I still ride it like a 450 in 3 and 4th gear - lugging it. Still in honeymoon with the bike so only have good things to say

  • @lpbraganca11 Now you need to dust off those old four stroke habits and ride her how she wants to be ridden. WIDE OPEN.

  • @lpbraganca11 More powerful? Really? Yeah I ride my dad's KTM 250 XC-W like that sometimes and the amazing thing is it still works! Got lots of torque, that bike does. Why you come off a 450?

  • @SuperJAWman 250 2-stroke is pretty much the same as 450 4-stroke (when you think of the HP/KW/TORQ) someone correct me if im wrong...

For example in Enduro, 125 2-strokes and 250 4-strokes compete in the same class, because they are even and i think same pretty much goes for MX.

  • @johnnymclaneutah I don't race MX but from what I've read, in the amateur league 250 2-strokes are allowed to race against 250 4-strokes. This is not true for the professional league obviously. I actually thought that BOTH 250 & 450 bikes make a little more HP than the 125 & 250 2-stroke respectively. Hence, pros race the 4-stroke. B/c of the HP difference, people are trying to get the rules changed to where 150's race against 250's, and 300's race against 450's (2 & 4 stroke, respectively)

  • @SuperJAWman I also know that the fact that 4 strokes make power everywhere plays a large role (who can question that logic?). But from my understanding, the 4-stroke bikes make more HP than their racing counterpart 2-strokes. I've ridden a 250 2&4 stroke and I lovem to death. The 4-stroke, however, breaks on me too much and I CANNOT afford to maintain the sucker. I'll still have a hard time letting it go.

  • @SuperJAWman

You are right when you say that the 4-strokes produce more HP etc. but only like 2-5hp more and they are also little bit heavier so the difference between probably isn't HUGE but still it is highly possible that these 4-strokes are a bit more powerful than 2-strokes, only way to know for sure is to put them race together :P

But isn't it a shame that 2-strokes are getting pushed out completely by 4-strokes, i wish bike brands would make both 2-strokes and 4-strokes ---->

  • @johnnymclaneutah

---> that way 2-stroke fans and 4-stroke fans would have possibility to choose which one they ride.

  • @johnnymclaneutah Yeah they do over here. In Europe the two-strokes are still pretty popular, I think. It makes sense though. 4-strokes are cleaner burning, easier to ride. Only thing is that they can be SO DANG EXPENSIVE to maintain. Tis why I'm trying to sell my four-stroke so I can get a two-banger. Ruuunnnnnnnnn!! (Two-stroke noise)

  • @SuperJAWman

2-strokes are getting pushed out here in EU too :( in races you pretty much see only 4-strokes.

  • @johnnymclaneutah That's definitely understandable. With all the advantages a four-stroke offers, I don't really mind them. And I'm cool with that as long as they still make/allow two-strokes so that I can have something cheaper to ride. I know I watch a hare scramble on TV that was in Europe, I think Taddy won it on a KTM and it was sponsored by Red Bull and it started in a mining pit. Anyways, A LOT of those bikes were two-strokes. That was a pretty cool event to watch.

  • @johnnymclaneutah The 250 2-stroke is around 50HP a 250 4-stroke makes around 38HP. the kx450f 2011 Kawasaki makes 53.76HP

  • @Shetani09 Oh yeah so they're pretty evenly matched. I know the 450's that the pros run prolly make more than that will all the special stuff they do to it but I'm pretty sure you can do the same thing to a two-stroke. (i.e. high compression cylinder). I read an article comparing the YZ250F to the YZ250 and the 2-stroke pumps out like 30.8 ft-lbs of torque, 10 more than the F. It makes about 10 more horsepower too.
