  • this swing fuckin sucks dont do it!!!! u loose around 30 yards.

  • SWING.. swing.. swing... gOLF is the best sport for me!!!

  • There still is a weight shift off the right to the left like any other athletic motion. I am a PGA Teaching professional and currently play at a 3 index. I have played this setup now for several years and find that it needs to addressed cautiously and delicately to be implemented properly. When done so, it is a simpler, more repeatable way to swing yielding an overall substantial increase in distance resulting from overall improved ball striking and a lower, higher spinning ball flight.

  • I think the main aspect of this to understand is that the extreme examples of high handicappers that people see in the infomercial with straight right legs at the top creating a stack, tilt and hang the f' on to the left side is not what proper, more advanced S&T is. A proper S&T is no more than controlling reducing lateral movement, improving consitency and a downward hands forward position at impact. When its really done correctly, its only slightly different from a traditional motion.

  • Stuff this.

    3 Words.

    Moe Norman Swing.

  • S & T Does Work, the pros only went away because of confidence, the stats said they were hitting it better, but they didnt believe it, it was all confidence

  • @stuntman206in , you are absolutely correct, ive been practicing this swing for the last 2 months and can honestly say i see a total improvement in my game.

  • hey this swing works for some and not others.

So because a professional golfer tries another method then it's no longer a good method.

Aaron Baddeley's a pretty average Golf pro with or without S&T.

  • Some parts of this swing techniques are fine. Particularly for good iron play. Moving off the ball, and not being able to return to the ball in proper sequence can lead to inconsistent shot making. Stack and Tilt keeps you closer to the hitting area, which is good if you move off the ball too much. Right sided swing does this as well. To each his own, whatever works. No one here can condemn another for what works for them. I like certain aspects of the S&T for mid and lower irons.

  • and google "swing sequence tiger woods" and click that first link if one of the greatest golfers of all time has changed his swing to someething quite close to the s&t theirs something to it

  • google "stack and tilt vs sean foley" and read the golf digest article and then remember that this is TIGER WOODS new coach and he just said that he is compressing the ball "like I never have before" and hitting the ball "more flush"

  • Iron Byron? Hmmm...I've been teaching golf for several yrs, and being centered does have it's benefits, however even Hogan maintained a positive spine angle away from the targit in his backswing, verifying a loading into to right side in the backswing! It's simple physics and common sense when watching a pitcher throwing a ball or a boxer throwing a knockout punch, you can't do it from your leading leg. " 2 pivot points creates a natural latural lateral movement from the backleg to the front.

  • Face it S&T'ers, it's over. If Charlie Wi follows Aaron Baddeley's leaving of S&T, he's gonna win a lot of tournaments, quite possibly a major

  • who gives a fck how u swing as long as u play well.

  • wow, there is a lot of bitching in these comments! are you all 12? lmao! that being said, those of you discrediting this swing, what is the reason for it? why do you think it sucks? serious question.. thanks!

  • @stuntman206in because they can't do it themselves that why they think it sucks.

i'd love to see some of these so called swing professionals videos on here.

  • @stuntman206in traditional stack and tilt pattern is punch elbow with square shoulders at impact. Serious question...how are you inline with punch elbow and square shoulders at impact? the baseline is out to the right and it influences big hooks until players learn to compensate for the flawed position. All of the "stack and tilt" guys on PGA tour have elbow infront of the right hip at impact. They dont stack and tilt anymore

  • I am new to golf, and I actually began to develop this exact swing. IT made so much sense! made me hit the ball straight, and far ! I was doing great, and it felt great! then I took a golf lesson and the guy said I was doing it all wrong, and really messed me up! Now that i find out others believe in this method as well, I am going back to it! I will not be crediting these guys with "inventing" a new swing however, This is how my body naturally developed its swing, its right for me!

  • @stuntman206in lol the stack and tilt is BULLSHIT man all false look at aaron badely lame douchebag lost his pga cards:P

  • @thegolfman52 maybe for some.. but I really do make better contact, etc.. swinging this way. Shoot, my PW goes 150, 9 iron ~165 and up from there.. its nuts.. but more importantly it feels right, smooth and crisp. to each his own I guess. It pisses me off a lil that these guys are selling dvds claiming they invented this swing.. thats the most bullshit about it

  • @blackkow87 LMAO what's even funnier is you've delisted your video and stopped people from making comments on it. Not surprising seeing other people were telling you how stupid your swing looked. Or maybe YT did because they have a policy of no gay porn. Well if anyone wants a good laugh here is the douche bags swing.

    watch?v=jsafP_QCbIU

  • @blackkow87 Kind of hard not to notice your ass you stick it out so much. As I said it looks like you're about to drop your pants for your boyfriend. You swing is fucking terrible. Also I'm surprised you didn't bag your head, it looks like a smashed crab. You talk about sucking cock a lot, seems you have a lot of experience. Maybe if you did less of that and actually practiced a real swing you might be able to hit a decent ball.

You must be laughed off the golf course with your swing.

  • @blackkow87 Hmm feeling a little inferior, not surprising with a swing like yours. Honestly you stick your ass so far out it looks like you're waiting for your boyfriend to come up behind you.

LOL it doesn't take balls to put anything on YT. Well maybe for you it does, putting that hideous swing and face on YT.

Well considering I'm not a pro golfer and play 2-3 times a month, I'd expect them to beat me. However I'd wipe the floor with you. My biggest problem would be trying not to laugh at you.

  • @blackkow87 The remarks took me all of 5 seconds to write and they are completely truthful :) Your swing is terrible.

  • @blackkow87 LOL well Baddeley says he won it on talent. It still doesn't change the fact that any self respecting pro isn't using it. How does that feel, ya moron :) Any more bullshit. It isn't my fault this is the only technique you can use. Have you finished crying?

  • @blackkow87 LOL Baddely specifically said he won the Northern Trust Open this year specifically because he dumped the Stack and Tilt method, how do you feel now?

  • @blackkow87 Sorry but he didn't win with it. A common misconception. You can even see the event he won and can see straight away he isn't using the stack and tilt, So any more bullshit?

  • @blackkow87 Baddely says that S&T has cost him millions in bad performances and he has gone back to his old swing. He basically said it doesn't work and none of the best players in the world would go near it.

  • Just pick a style you like and try it. This bs that everybody has to do everything the same is just horseshit. Every sport you play, they all have their unique style. Develop your own style, one that works for you. Just look at the different pros, from different generations, if you want to incorporate something into your own style.

  • stack and tilt is complete non sense at the end its all about hand eye co-ordination if john daly can smash it with his swign i think its becaus of his hand eye co-ordiantion the stack and tilt is just to produce immediate results thats all

  • in the 2011spring issue of "SCORE GOLF- the voice of Canada" which featured Mike Weir, who lost his PGA card he said " This years early play is likely due to several things: .. rust, .. and more importantly my thinking, A HANGOVER EFFECT OF THE STACK AND TILT METHOD HE WENT TO SEVERAL YEARS AGO, HE'S STILL TRYING TO EXORCISE THAT TECHNIQUE FROM HIS SWING BUT ADMIT ITS STILL THERE, " AARON BADDELY ALSO SAID THAT HIS MAJOR UNDERTAKING THIS YEAR IS TO MOVE AWAY FROM STACK AND TILT.

  • has any tour player "really" gotten better beacuse of the stack and tilt?

  • @johngolfi NO

  • @Jospehporta well I thought so...

  • Can anyone explain to me or link me to a better video than this for explaining stack and tilt? I'd appreciate it

  • aaron baddely switched back from shit & tilt and gained about 50 yards. he is finally doing well again

  • latest fad, ummm people run while you still can!!!! scary stuff.......

  • @Dreama40 how so? please explain in detail exactly why SandT is so bad.

  • "we are taught that the grip ,stance , posture are fundamental yet watch the pros and they all have a different grip, stance and posture". GREAT POINT MIKE! :)

  • This guy put me to zzzz.

  • Shawn Clement has had videos on this before these two; maybe they should give him a little credit too

  • What a crock of shit! Try "Swing the Clubhead" by Earnest Jones

  • What a crock of shit!

  • If it wasnt for S&T I wouldve given up on golf. I was tired of how every single instructor teaches the game different even though it is suppose to be the same swing.

These guys make it easy to understand and after a bit of practice im hitting ball better than I ever have in my life even when I was a 7 handicap.

Those afraid of change and those who are too ignorant to open their minds are missing a great lesson in golf.

  • Is Tiger using the Stack & Tilt swing? It sure looks like it.

  • Mike Weir was crap anyway...

  • best swing to be taught, mike weir uses it and he lost his tour card. This must be a great program!

  • Does anyone know how to fix hiting the ball too low with the stack and tilt swing?

  • @Goodnate96 Yeah. Find another method. Jeff Ritter or Chuck Quinton. Look them up and follow. Very good instructors.

  • @Goodnate96 it really helps to record your swing to pinpoint but some things that might help... Work on pushing your hips forward more, longer. This helps create the tilt of the spine away from the target (not your weight though). Also keep swinging out, longer. Most golfers are taught to "release" the club but end up rolling their wrists and shutting the club face, de lofting it. Check a vid call "drawing the ball," bad audio, good content.

  • guys a loser, everyone on the pga uses the same grip (besides overlap, interlock etc) meanwhile tiger uses stack and tilt and look at him arron baddely just stopped using stack and tilt and he just won. nice idea of a golf swing, too bad people 99% of the time shanks it.

  • Continued,,,from experience I have a very low opinion of " teaching pro's " but I did find something on You Tube.

A golf pro,,Ron Del Barrio " hit the driver 300 + yds. " well it didn't happen for me but what did happen was huge.

I followed his advice and used a very passive hand and arm method, best tip I've EVER had in all my years of golf.

Not only did I straighten out my long game I hit it further,,not by a long ways but @ 20-25 yards,,,passive hands and arms,,,give it a try friends.

  • No doubt I am just one of thousands looking for something in the way of golf instruction to help my game through these video tips.

I play off a nine handicap, my biggest problem is hooking the ball with my driver and longer clubs ( fairway woods, hybrids ).

I have spent plenty of money with hustlers,,,,oh pardon me I mean " teaching pro's " ,,,in all my years of playing golf and trying to improve I've come to the conclusion that maybe two out of ten teaching pros are legitimate,,,continued.

  • These guys will sell broken tees,,,they will tell the ones out there that are gullible that their studies have shown you hit the ball fifty yards further with broken tees.

There's fucking thousands out there that will believe them and of course they will " send their money in ".

What utter nonsense this " Stack and Tilt " is, totally ruined a Masters champion ( Weir ) the poor cunt can't make a cut anymore,,,,unbelievable it really is.

Bads, dumped these bums and now has won a tournament !!

  • @jeanmunn your fucking bang on the money about bads mate.

  • @jeanmunn Bads won more with SandT then he didn't. Weir hasn't been the same since he left them. Yet another potty mouth who doesn't know anything about stack and tilt but claim it is "voo doo" and "it has ruined golf!" Ernie Els hasn't won in years, have you found his instructor and berated him yet? Tiger starting losing with Haney (and when his wife beat him up). Maybe you should look into SandT and it could help with your hook. Maybe AP and MB are the two out of ten that are legit.

  • if you want to hit the ball low and shit try this technique

  • @danthemansa1 WRONG. You don't understand the technique, and you don't have good information on S&T. My stock shot with S&T is a medium trajectory push draw. I can hit my wedges as high or low as I want using S&T.

  • hahahahahahaha i posted my comments before even watching this vid. mike bennett please name me one of your students that is considered long! how can anyone listen to this idiot! - "or if we were trying to hit the ball the straightest we would be using like a putting stroke" hahahaha he's actually a genius because he has made money off retards who listen to and beleive him

  • @danthemansa1 Right on the money,,,great comment,,,and you mentioned the MAGIC word here,,,,MONEY.

that's what it's all about. I have another point I'm going to make and it is legitimate, it pertains to another video tip about hitting drives 300+ yards.

But regarding Stack and Tilt,,,,no question in my mind that it has ruined some world class players,,,hey who knows maybe it works for some amateurs and it might help but certainly not for pros,,,,," I'm stacked " sure with missed cuts !!

  • so far my predictions for 2011 are looking pretty good except for weir(looks like s&t permanently ruined him). GIR RANKINGS 27/02/2011 - o hair has plummeted to 182(4th to last) . charlie wi(s&t) is t140th(110 in 2010). troy has dropped to 72. aaron is up to t11 since leaving s&t, his highest ever(187 in 2007,t166 in 2008,186 in 2009 all under s&t)other s&t players: alex cejka - 109 in 2010. bill lunde - 139 in 2010. so assholes, if you're talking about the swing, state facts that matter - GIR!!

  • I love how people make up some crap and then sell the shit out of it.

  • Golf is a physically demanding sport, and a great golfer needs to stay flexible and be in great shape. The pro’s spend thousands of dollars on golf fitness trainers and coaches to help keep them on top of their game, but for me that was not a possibility. After years of complaining about my game plateauing and about being sore from playing so much I knew I had to do something about it, but after a few stretches I was lost.

A colleague of mine showed me this great tool!

  • dont take lessons, these guys will ruin you. ive seen it

  • Golf is Zen. Aim for target. Hit ball to target. Repeat. Forever.

  • This guy is high. The smile tells it. :D

  • Classic swing is a waste of motion and so is S&T. Why use the right leg, it is the enemy!!!! Why tilt what a waste of motion. My system I have developed never fails. S&T, my God is it complicated!!!. They use way to many terms to sound intelligent. Again over thought but under productive. I simply pull my right foot back get on the tip toes of the right so all the weight is on my left. Wow how simple, no big terms, just pure ball striking. Get a grip people I have the answer!!

  • No wonder this guy has a smile on his face as he speaks cause he is talking complete bullshit. We want to hit the ball further so we reverse pivot and lose width. What!!! Each one of these guys he is teaching will need treatment for a sore back very soon.

  • @slamdunk661 Opinions are like assholes. Everyone is entitled to one.

  • Stack and Tilt really isnt that revolutionary.

Its basically what Hogan was doing.

I think it is a classic case of 'whatever works for you'. Charlie Wi probably would be where he is now whithout it because of his shortgame, which is what matters. I am not quite sure i advocate the stack and tilt swing, alot of the positions that Bennet was getting people in scared me a bit. but in my opinion, not moving off the ball in the takeaway is a good thing to pick up from it.

  • Charlie Wi of PGA wouldn't be where he is now without Stack and Tilt swing.

  • Comment removed

  • this swing is complete bullshit, just look at mike weir now, gone from a regular pga tour winner to on the brink of losing his card, absolute rubbish!

  • ich bin 14 jahre alt und bin auch ein stack and tilter

  • @VIWAFL du bist ein dumb cunt!

  • at 2:53 reverse pivot, check out what leadbetter says about this.......

  • @MedicAlv1 other pros like Chuck Quinton are saying it will hurt your back too

  • The ridicule on here is probably a golf instructor that doesn't like the idea that there's competition to his job on a video. The swing is fairly simple, easy to teach and it works good for those of us that don't get to play or practice through the week. if you're tired of hunting for balls in the woods, try it.

  • @spartanstackandtilt hey i see you understand alot about the golf swing of s and t what i was woinder why not just stay stacked over the ball instead of tilting it still gives you a strong left post side to hit agaisnt, like sean foley does with sean o hair and hunter mahan and now is doing with tiger woods. I just dont under stand it.

  • @helenathena it is hard to see when it is all done at once. In order to stay over the ball you have to stand up, tilt to the left, and rotate your shoulders in a circle. To prove this point, stand in front of a mirror, and set up like you would at address. stand up, tilt to the left, and then turn your shoulders around your body and you will stay centered. People are constantly insulting this swing method with no idea on the principles behind it.Take a lesson from a sandt teacher and u will c

  • For the majority of players S&T isn't the way to go although it is a quick fix for some. Most touring pro's don't stack and tilt but do strive for a constant spine angle which means the turn and keep a consistent swing plane. This has proven bio-mechanically to produce the best outcome shot wise and physically (from an injury perspective). If you load the right side and release appropriately you hit with the core muscles and don’t require either big shifts of weight (balance) or hand saves

  • @Snagga2010 Most tour pros are striving to a constant spine inclination to the ground, big difference. If your spine angle didn't change your head would be way behind the ball in the backswing and way ahead in the follow through. You don't think most golfers, who are slicers, would not benefit from a swing model that promotes a draw? You should get the SandT book or get a lesson, least then you could make a valid argument against SandT.

  • i dont like stack and tilt beacuse too much weight on the left side causes the ball fly too low

  • @sandersuperfollador if you are hitting the ball too low you are not doing the swing correctly. Get a lesson from a SandT instructor and you will find that sandt does not promote low ball flight. If all you're doing is keeping your weight left you will run into a lot of problems. Charlie Wi hits the ball pretty high.

  • Then we disagree on where the weight is at the top of the backswing. I see the weight favoring the left side for most of the pros I see on TV and when I saw them at a few tour events. There is also a video comparing Tiger and Zach Johnson on youtube. I know Zach is not working with Bennett or Plummer, but he does start stacked on the left. The video confirms that at least Tiger favors the weight to his left side at set up with mid/short irons. What players say and do are not always the same.

  • Good golfer do not buy it. Bad golfer if you want a quick fix and have no hope of ever reaching your ability as a good golfer go for it.

  • @portales2010 well Zach johnson is just one GREAT golfer that use the stack and tilt swing.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah those crappy pro's what do they know i bet they could take every shot with there eyes closed and kick the crap out of you on any golf course... lol

  • Comment removed

  • I like when he says when you go to a pressional event and see the pros on the range that they are all different. Yeah but guess what they all have one thing in common, they don't use this bullshit stack and tilt crap. There's a reason why it contradicts hundreds of years of swing techniques, because it wrong and it doesn't work. This is the most ridiculous swing method I have ever came across and it's a shame these idiots are making money off bad players with it.

  • @RandiesUnite, well, you might want to be a bit more open-minded. I went from being a lousy ball-striker to someone who hit every shot between the screws with this method. Also, pros on tour do use it. Eric Axely, Dean Wilson and Charlie Wi are a few of them. Lastly, I don't really think you understand the method, with all due respect. They're just prescribing the kind of shoulder turn that Couples, Moe Norman and many other great ball-strikers use.

  • @OutlanderWarrior I'm plenty open minded which is why I can SEE how big of a crock of shit this is. You named 3 crappy pros, awesome. It's totally mental. People hear they will be a better player if they use it and talk themselves into it. If you're good enough with your golf swing you can make anything work, hence the variety of swings you see on tour. 99% of them have one thing in common though they don't use the stack and tilt crap.

  • @RandiesUnite, I'm probably wasting my time, but here's what eludes you (being a typical modernist): There's something called truth. In other words, there IS an ideal way to hit a golf ball. Whether or not the S&T fellows have discovered it is a different matter, of course. And your statement was illogical: "If you're good enough with your golf swing you can make anything work." Anything includes some things that don't work. Thus, if you do those things, you won't have a golf swing that works.

  • @OutlanderWarrior Well obviously when I said "anything" I was exaggerating a bit. Don't act like you don't know what I meant. Of course a good player can't make "anything" work. But why would someone try to hit a golf ball with holding the club upside down for instance? I mean come on you can't be THAT dense can you? I'm a plus handicapper and I could learn the S&T method in a couple range sessions and make it look like it "works" that doesn't mean it's "right". Catch my drift?

  • @RandiesUnite I can't decide if your hostility is toward OutlanderWarrior or S&T. Anyway, if you look at the majority of the PGA Tour professionals (take into consideration for camera angles) you will see more weight on the lead side than the trailing side (@ top of the back swing; not during transition) . The majority of current Tour pros have and implement some aspects of S&T. If you know of Mac O'Grady and Mike Bender, S&T should not be new to you. If you disagree, that's fine too.

  • @shl102673 Saying the majority of touring professionals have more weight on their left side (right handers) at the top of the swing is completely false. It has always been and still is taught that at address weight distribution should be around 55/45, 55 being your right side (again for a right hander). When you start the take away you should make a move that allows your shoulders to turn over your right instep. Explain to me how in doing this the weight distribution is more on the left side?

  • @RandiesUnite most of us are not touring professional or professional athletes, so it really doesn't matter. You, me, and 99.9999% of golfers are not as gifted as the touring pro dead last in the rankings. The SandT model is simplified way to strike a golf ball. It promotes keeping weight forward, bc most golfers hit behind the ball. It promotes a slight in to out swing bc most golfers come over the top. It is just another effective way to hit a golf ball.

  • @spartanstackandtilt I do play golf for a living so you can go ahead and speak for yourself on this one, thanks.

  • @RandiesUnite Congrats! I see you mentioned that Charlie Wi, Dean Wilson, and Eric Axily are all crappy players, but they are still PGA pros. In these golfers last events where did you rank? No one is saying you don't play well and no one is saying SandT is the only way, but to say it is crap when you don't know anything about it is just plain ignorant. Just because you play golf for a living, ie work at dick's sporting goods in the golf section, doesn't mean sandt can't be effective.

  • @spartanstackandtilt With the small exception of Wi the other two won't be around much longer they way they are going. The funniest part about Wilson and Axley (you spelled it wrong by the way) is that both had their only wins in 2006 before they completely converted to Crap and Tilt. Great attempt at a jab by way (saying I work at Dick's). Do they really have a golf section there? The only people that would shop at a department store for golf equipment are weekend hacks, such as yourself.

  • I admit I don't get out as often as I would like but that has nothing to do with you knowing nothing about the sandt golf swing.I notice that you didn't put down where you placed in those tournaments those "crappy" pga pros play. Dean did pretty good at the rvc can open, did you play there?I suppose sean o'hair and zach johnson suck also, they use sandt concepts. I guess since I don't play as much as you, you are better person than me.Your mgr at Dicks is going to be mad at you for your comments

  • @spartanstackandtilt Yeah come on over to Muirfield in the off season and see if you can find the Dick's I "work at". And while you're here we can play for a couple grand a hole. It'll be a good ol' friendly bet.

  • @RandiesUnite couple of grand per hole! Wow you are really really good. Once again you didn't reply to anything I said and also I don't think a guy who plays a couple of grand per hole would be posting a****** remarks on a swing he knows nothing about. Dicks must be paying really well, why aren't you on the pga tour again?

  • @spartanstackandtilt Now you're using profanity, real classy. I might be good and I might not but I'm pretty confident you wouldn't even win one hole. Why would I answer any questions you are asking? Shouldn't you already know my tournament record? After all, you seem to be pretty sure of my employment.

  • @RandiesUnite profanity huh, wasn't it you that used the s*** word 2 months ago, so not only are you an arrogant (fill in your favorite metaphor) you are also a hypocrite. I don't care about your "tournament" record. I don't look down on you because you work at dick's sporting goods, you need to learn to love yourself.

  • My friend also dropped 20 strokes too, he now still shoots in the 100s =)

  • Same swing different words, but at least they make butts load of money from high handicappers who think it's going to help, and it might, but a local pro will do just fine....I am 18 and I have a problem breaking 65, can anyone help!!!!

  • @minibullet91 chip it closer

  • I've basically been doing this for 12 years. It's probably not exactly what they are teaching but it's very similar. I never shift my weight onto my right foot.

  • isnt hogans method a precursor to the stack and tilt?

  • Forget the stack and tilt and study the masters--Moe Norman and Ben Hogan.

  • To the naysayers: I dropped 20 shots off my score in a year using snt.

  • he looks like a more sophisticated version of Owen Wilson haha

  • 0:50 is Fred couples. the guy with no glove

  • @dparc12 thats also him standing on the rope at 1:20 lol. anyway, this is a great intro to S&T

  • :50. The golfer without the glove and the visor and white shirt is FRED COUPLES! Don't believe me? look at his finish. And 1:17 is COUPLES TOO!

  • Isn't he mildew wolf off that cartoon "It's the Wolf" (look it up)

  • What a load of cr@

The third thing that links all the good players together is that they practice quite a lot you idiots

  • This has been done before save your money its just a new line on an old theme

  • looks like the start of back problems with that follow through. And with that angle of attack id think that to be effective you would have to be quite strong to square the clubface and not have blocks or slices. id be worrying that it could interfere with a players short game and potentially make chip shots come out thin? All other sports seem to transfer weight that involve projecting a ball forwards e.g. tennis. I may be wrong just would be interested on peoples take on what ive said

  • yeah go to shawn clements page on youtube. he has a golf injuries video where he explains why this is so hard on the lower back

  • what part of stack and tilt puts stress on the lower back?

  • you'd think when everyone tells you it messes your back, you guys would listen. but nooooooo ....

  • everyone does not say that...i know for a fact that MANY people know that when you extend your spine it releives compression from the lower back...its really basic stuff...

  • My back hurt with the conventional swing...I have been doing S&T for 6 months and my back feels great.

  • Comment removed

  • Weight does project forward, it just never projects back.

  • @1986mikey, not exactly. I'm a former tennis pro and I can tell you that on every single shot the weight is on the front foot and the end of the backswing. I will add that on the serve, you do shift weight backwards during the take-away, but it is well forward before the upward movement into the ball begins. If your weight is still on your back foot at the end of your backswing, you're going to have serious problems (in tennis or golf).

  • steve sieracki is the fucking man!

  • I'm a recreational golfer, and since I've used Stack and Tilt, my swing and game has improved greatly. I figured that I'd try it, and if it didn't work for me, I'd go back to the traditional method (which I will never do now). For all the nay-sayers.....I don't remember anyone saying that everyone has to try this out. If you don't like it, for whatever reason.....DON'T USE IT, AND PLEASE QUIT BITCHING!

  • In what way has it improved your game? Longer? More accurate?

  • Comment removed

  • I've had great luck with this. There has been a lot of focus by instructors on the weight shift as a means of adding power to the swing during the last 25 yrs or so. It will, but it makes timing more complex. I think this is a great swing for recreational players like myself. I got the new hardcover book on Amazon for only $17.00 or so and page 29 "learning the basics", showed me club contact like I've seldom felt - pure!

  • looks like a swing for hackers. taught myself to consistently shoot in 70's at wilmette cc. be a 90's shooter with stack and tilt.

  • @flowerdrop1 or a pga tour winner

  • hehe ... just another swing gimmick for the suckers out there.

Looks like that would do wonders for your back too ... lol.

  • completely false. mike and andys website will be up and running in under three weeks. this stuff is going to change the way golf is taught

  • It's no gimmick. Understand that this is simply the way golf used to be played, before someone originated the silly idea that your weight should be shifted back off your pivot leg. Bobby Jones said himself that there is NO SHIFT OF WEIGHT to the right side in the golf swing. Anyway, some months after switching to S&T I was hitting every shot dead solid perfect.

  • Bobby really has a good golf training system for the money. I would buy it again. Golferbreak80com

  • Break 80 by next weekend. Bobby is a great coach and his online course is definitely worth it. GolferBreak80com

  • i heard stack, n tilt was bad on ur back, can someone explain

  • yeah, i use it and after 18 holes your back is sore, but if you'll learn its worth it ;)

  • It doesnt hurt you back,

  • A simple and effective way of swinging a golf club... I am a happy converter.

  • Hardy is definitely a hack. First he comes out and talks about two definite swing styles (one and two planes), then all his seminars are about hybrid swings.

  • Hmm, I'll have to give this a try. To each his own.

  • I have not tried this and dont intend to either, but if your weight is stacked on the left at the top, where does the power come from, traditionally its from the weight shift and clearing of the left hip, ie hip/shoulder separation on the down swing, i dont know it just doesnt look right to me! need more convincing !!

  • Not true, power comes from club head speed and energy transfer from the club head into the golf ball. Mathematical equation is E=1/2Mv(2). In golf this is measured and explained via club head speed and "smash factor" which is a function of energy transfer from the club head into the golf ball. If you notice the power generating parts of the swing itself do not change, the shoulders and hip are still allowed to rotate to generate centrifugal force and club head speed.

  • Fought iron play for over a year. Inconsistent because I lost the trust in being able to get to the ball on time every time. Went to hybrids to compensate. I watched this video and tried it on the couse last Saturday. I hit the longest seven iron, pitching wedge, A-wedge, Driver, and 3 wood I have ever hit in my life. 172yd Par 3 ( seven Iron) 515 yd Par 5 on the fringe in 2(Driver 279yds then 3-wood 235yds) I have no worries about the takeaway anymore and feel confident in my swing.

  • ye i figured my take away out and then on my downswing i have no worries and just let it rip. iv been hitting my drives 30 40 yards longer. i also upgraded my driver which helps so ye thats key forsure. im hitting my driver 320 330 and my 3 wood 260

  • I spent the winter converting to this. It's a nice action. I was always a little flat so it wasn't a big change. The biggest change was staying on my front foot. It felt strange at first ( not turning behind the ball )

I have great results on the range and at the pitch and putt close by. I'll see how it works this summer on a full course over 18 holes.

What's with all the haters? It may work for some and not for others. Golf isn't a game of robots.

  • stack and tilt is definitely one of the worst ideas i have ever seen.

  • time will tell, and im sure you will have a different opinion

  • worst f****** swing ever.

  • He's saying every one on tour has a different swing and yet he's teaching one swing to everybody. I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

  • really they are not not possible. They are however teaching face and path relations to tour players and showing what fits for the motions that they do. They by no means are making robots. However for the average joe they are fixing the slice. Thats the real deal.

  • Not really. they teach a pattern. ou can see from the S&T players on the PGA Tour that they look different. Weir, Badds, Wilson. Similar action but very different.

  • You misunderstand. He's saying that since everyone does the things that most teachers stress differently, those things cannot be fundamentals. Rather, they are at most idiosyncrasies; fundamentals are elements that must be present in order to become proficient in a given task. Understand that there is such a thing as truth, and this means that there is a perfect way to swing a golf club. It's not opinion.

  • final decision... you are both fags..

  • I like how you sign your name fag.....but yes my family and I have had a few wins in college and the pro tour.

  • Yup Tiger Woods and I have 14 majors between us.

  • All these videos, all the instructions i've ever read, still do not tell anyone what they are hitting with. Once you can answer what leverage you are using and what muscles you are using...your swing will automatically fall into place. My system is the best.

  • yepp and we're seeing u winning on tour arent we.. fag

  • yes on the collegiate level and my family has on tour.

  • lol

  • It's not a bunch of crap, and it really works. It's more of a pivot method verses a swing method. The basic concept is to keep most of your weight on your left side (for right handed golfers) and swing around your leg, eliminating the "pivot."
