i suppose it's for home/studio use but just wouldnt have the headroom for live playing and it's too expensive to splash out on.

Love PGS, love almost all the videos, and Gavin seems like a great player... But, I have waited a long time for a good video road-test of this amp, and for my style, this was a total miss. No knock on Gavin, but some cranked up neck Strat would have really helped me hear what this thing can do... Have you guys ever thought about quicker edits with a few players? With one guy, it's limited in style and scope. Thanks anyway. You guys still do a great job.

This guitarist has the same problem I have - I can't stop my hands shaking when I play in front of a camera or when I'm on stage. It doesn't necessarily affect my abilities, it just makes me feel nervous even more, and self-conscious.

every single review of new equipment from PGS is freaking amazing, but i think they focus too much on "vintage" equip. i didnt saw anything really metal besides that amazing schecter they did a couple weeks ago. thumbs up anyway!

Wow - no doubt this is a great little amp - but you have to admit it is out there for the typical working guitarist - not that $2500 isn't doable - but for that money there are a ton of competitors - everything from all the boutique stuff to Mesa-B and even the really mass market stuff like Fender. The Carr had better be something really special or it's going to get lost on the sauce.  Maybe for low wattage / studio work, eh?

1/2 watt is surpisingly loud, in terms of apt volume. 1/10 watt is dirty, and pretty quiet.2 watts is too loud for most apartments situations, but does a solo gig...8 watts sounds great solo too.I have an 18/40 watt head for playing with a louder drummer, on this amp, the 8 watt setting is able to cut it in certain group settings, no problem.

Ive had one of these since March and it is a joy to play thru.I also have a Vox D5 watt and a Line 6 Spider 3 that are used for teaching.
