I remember watching this once on t.v. (admittedly, because there was nothing better to watch), and this stood out to me as the best scene in the film. The rest of it was cute and all, but there was something beautiful about this. I loved the use of stop-motion and the dreamlike stage setting, and the idea of the older sister dancing to fight off the monster is just too cool... (Actually it reminds me a lot of something a Hindu deity might have done...)

I saw it on tv twice, but it took me weeks to get an dvd of it. Surprisngly you cant download it, not at that time anyway. Its a very rare movie. Shame really. Its just so amazing. Full of charm.

again, I agree. glad to see that someone feels the same as me. I fell in love with the scene when I watched on TV. searcher all over and had to buy it from the UK to get it, just so that I could watch that scene again. and the rest of the movie of course. it so family friendly, filled with adventure and fantasy. just lovely. the don't make these kinds of movies anymore.
