  • 木塚さん優勝おめでとーーー

  • they lost emotions between battles

  • you just won the 94 sf2ce Kokugikan championsip...what are you gonna do now?? 'take more zoloft'

  • Holy shit! I could never play Vega(Claw) on an SNES pad.

  • is not arcade...

  • this guys look enthusiastic when they win...yea

  • Why is Vega named Balrog here? Is that the Japanese equivalent?

  • @LoekSijbers Yup.

  • @LoekSijbers not equivalent but original name...look up on wiki or something to get more detail

  • op ryu

  • bah they suk i could beat em wid ezzz

  • the dhalsim match was whack.

  • Balrog wins? for Vega???! What kinda bootleg shit was that?

  • @b20monty

Japanese version switches the names around of 3 bosses.

  • the best fighting game!

  • that vega dude is a faggot all he does is spam like a bitch

  • HANG ON, who was the beast, the won who just won with Ryu

Also I wonder what happened to the other people in real life ?

  • aff dois podres.. vao aprender seus ranhentos...

  • Just how Tomo was known as the best out of the Golden Era, these guys in this vid must've had the same rep in Japan.

  • @drsc

Despite what very few people have seen from Tomo.. there is almost no footage of him in matches.. X_X

  • Now this is where the skill is. SF2 takes REAL skill.

  • the commentators are going mad,,its sounds like they singing...

  • Daigo got skillz, and still does :)

  • Ryu kicked Vega's ass.

  • Damn, that Ryu player was fucking beast.

  • you might say

    the beast

    was unleashed

  • is he daigo? (ryu)

  • Those SNES controllers were bad for street fighter (6 buttons).

  • Compared to what? The SNES controller set the standard for controller design - the PS1 pad simply added two shoulder buttons and made it a bit more comfortable to hold. Compare to a standard Mega Drive pad with 3 face buttons, which required you to press Start to switch between punches and kicks!

Also, SF2 didn't exactly need more than six buttons; there were very few moves in SF2 which required you to press several buttons at once and there were only 6 basic attacks.

  • I meant that if the controller had all 6 buttons in one spot would have been much better (Saturn). I don't like the PS or the Genesis controllers neither, the PS has only 4 buttons on top and Genesis had to use frickening start button to switch between P and K.

Out of all the stock pads the best was the Sega Saturn's. instead of using a standard X for the directions, it had a circle where the diagonals had their own presses, you don't need to press both down and forward to get down forward.

  • as soon as sf2 came to genesis sega released 6 button controllers which world much better. Doing a fierce shoryuken on the snes was really hard because you basically had to do the movement with your thumb and hit the L button with your index button at the right time and it didnt really register 100% of the time.

  • @walkerctranger you know you can custom map the buttons right?

  • snes ? i know its not mega drive / genesis

  • You can tell by the controller at 1:40 that it's SNES

  • oh kk. didnt notice tht

  • Must be awkward sitting 6 inches away from the guy you just crushed haha.

  • 4:45 he played tic tac toe and crossed the shittt outta that vega player.. XD

  • RYU FTW

  • Ruy Winer

    xD

  • dude the competitors in this contest are way toooo cool

  • vega is so cheap

  • Cool that guy with Ryu was good!

  • daigo crossed him the fuck up

  • Daigo won that shit

  • shouldn't they theoretically play only their twin character, so there are no advantages? or are all of the characters perfectly balanced?

  • Unless a specific character is banned then everyone is fair game, regardless if the match is in one characters favor over the other.

  • Balrog is the guy with the claws and vega is the final boss.

When this game came to america, then switched their names because the Boxer's name was Bison and it was too close to mike tyson. American names are fake...

  • But I think the names fit much better as they are. Vega is perfect for the Claw Gyu and also Balrog for the Boxer.

  • i know huh.

i dont know if its just cuz im use to it but vega does sound like it would fit him better.

  • This looks so gay compared to Super Smash Brothers Melee it's not even funny

  • Are you trying to be stupid? SSB melee is 10 years older than SF2 and 2 console upgrades further, of course its gonna look better. However in 1991 on the SNES, just started creating consoles and this game imo is a great fighting game for its time.

  • This is vintage shit!

  • This video would be more enjoyable without the commentary :-)

  • way to celebrate lol

  • The second player in the Dhalsim fight SUCKED! I could have beaten him w/ Chun- Li.

  • What! Balrog Balbrog were i come from is the boxer thats vega with the claws and hold on m.bision in japan is called Vega WTF is with it name changes

  • when the game came over here the name were changed because of the fact capcom was afraid mike tyson might sue ( as the boxer we know as balrog is a rip of tyson, and in japan, "M.Bison" stands for "mike Bison". to avoid lawsuits, the name were changed, and the boxer became balrog (real name M.Bison)the ninja with the claw became vega (real name Balrog) and the end boss we know became M.Bison (real name vega) the only one to keep his name was Sagat, lol :-P

  • every1 no's that by now

  • wtf he jumped right into it

  • That kid with the red headband SUCKS!

  • Thank for ULing this, I've been looking for over half a decade old SF match vids for quite sometime

  • I didn't know that game could be played that well.

  • kinda boring
