I was just out of VoTech, sharing an apt. in Couer d'Alene with a schoolmate from Indiana when this album came out; he came in one night showed me REO/TWO and told me 'you gotta chheck this out" Wow! Loved it; their cover of Little Queenie made me crazy
one of my favorites! but generally speaking like elvis most of their lyrics are aobut girls and that gets old so i found better music and lyrics in rush but reo are still likeable and this is one of their best tunes!

@marcdell That's Kevin. You're mistaken. 1st album Terry, REO2 Kevin. Mike Murphy for Ridin the Storm Out, Lost in a Dream, This Time We Mean it. Then Kevin returns with REO.
Umm... Eatin a piece of humble pie here. U were correct B4493. This track is from REO T.W.O.. Terry was the vocalist on only 1 album. The debut "Ridin The Storm Out" I stand corrupted (pun intended)
@justrob65 Actually, Terry was on the debut album "REO Speedwagon", Kevin was on REO/TWO. The next couple of albums had Michael Bryan Murphy as the lead singer, and then Kevin came back. I was fortunate enough to see them twice live at local venues in Denver, CO, before Kevin left and before they hit the big time and became commercial. Right in front of the stage, three feet from Gary Richrath. I remember seeing the long red-haired guy (Murphy), who appeared to be a roadie at the time.
No offense to B4493 , but that is not Kevin Cronin. Terry Luttrell was the original vocalist 4 the Speed wagon WAY back in the day. I'm with ya though B4493 , Live "you Get What You Play For" is my all time FAVE!

I got a chance to see them perform with Renaissance, Edgar Winter, Johnny Winter and more at La Mar Park located in Wyoming, MI a suburb of Grand Rapids, MI in 1978. There were over 19,000 people in attendance and the shows were excellent. Kevin Cronin and Gary Richrath were there along with the rest of the band.
once again, back in the day... ( I am finding youtube an unending fount of nonstalgia) anyways living in couer d alene in 1973, before it turned into tahoe norte; lived in a converted home/ duplex. worked at q beer joint (ratskeiler's) roommate came home with this album he new of reo from indiana moking low grade and drinking cheap beer
There's a tougher, manlier, rough edge in Cronin's voice on this album that I thought was really effective. And Richrath just scorches! Fave REO albums are the harder ones: this one, "You get what you play for", and "Nine Lives". By no means am I knocking 'Hi Infidelity"either, I love that one too, I just come back to the harder ones a lot more.
@marcdell I Sure Will. I Always Loved This Song And Would Love To Find Some Footage Of Them Playing It, But Don't Know If They Ever Did It In Concert, Or If They Did, If It Ever Got Taped Or Filmed.
THOSE FIRST THREE ALBUMS WERE ALL GREAT THREE SINGERS ALL GOOD IN THERE OWN WAY CHECK THEM OUT GREAT STUFF DONT MISS THIS BAND LIVE STILL GREAT

This album has a real "Southern Rock" vibe about it--being recorded in Nashville have anything to do with that?

I had read where KC wasn't on REO two due to "creative difficulty", but the band isn't the same without him.
