  • do you have eny surefire pens if so can u do reviews on it

  • I just ordered a Schrade tactical pen, and can't wait to get it. I'd like to get the pink Benchmade pen. That thing is sexy.

  • Fountain tactical pen, now that would be cool.

  • what is this like a waterproof space pen with panda fur inlays and 24 karat gold ink? Why the hell is it so expensive??

  • where can i get this for 40 or 50 $ ?????!?!?! please help

  • Just received the 1210 today and defective. Cap rattles like a cheap toy. I have a couple other benchmade pens, tons of their knifes. Sending to Benchmade, warranty is in effect.

  • grap a pencil, writtes upside down too

  • I don't really like that pen. I carry a 40-dollar S&W tactical pen, it has more to hold on to and it just looks better.

  • hmm what a rip off just my own opinion i like my pens i find laying around the house

  • The people complaining about the price need to keep some perspective. You don't need Suze Orman to figure this out. If you just want to be a hero and stab someone in the larynx on an airplane, all you need is a Bic. If you want to feel awesome you stab your mother-in-law in the face with this pen. Not that complicated.

  • what the fuck do you do when it runs outta ink. ill stick with the bic 30 pack for 4 dollars

  • @starr101010 you buy a new ink cartridge for $5

  • very very nice ben wouldnt pay the price

    nice vid tho

    kind regards

  • Would it work as a dildo :D just kidding!

  • @brownbear696969 its funny that I know you saw my new vid then searched for this video, haha

  • can you tell me a comparison of this pen to the smith and wesson ones? because i can't find videos to compare the two. and i have no nearby store for me to get a physical feel for the benchmade though i have felt the S&W's and they are alright.

  • it prob cost benchmade a dollar to make

  • @ultrafreshsolid More like 7. lol

  • how to get a pen step 1 go to argos step 2 pick up a pen step 3 leave the store

  • i personally think this is a ripoff if your buying this for defense. i have a S&W tactical pen which was only $27. however if you just want to collect this thats another story

  • how do you like this compared to the spyderco baliyo?

  • Or you could just buy a $1.00 pen which works just fine for everyday use and use the money you save for a new knife or like 3 zippos!

  • @presto1210 for you $100= 3 zippos? i can buy like 5 or 6 zippos for $100 :-D i was thinking about buying this "just in case" kinda insurance... last backup plan kinda thing. but honestly. i have a EDC knife. and i own that black space pen too. i'd recommend the space pen though. Staples store= $20. can't beat it. it's a really tough little pen.

  • I do like the pen, but how do you get $120 worth a pen?

  • dotn say that in frotn of a "pen guy" there are peopel whos main hobby is buyign and collecting high end pens, and some pens cost thousands, Im serious...

  • @cutlerylover I know. but they are worth it. I don't think this pen is worth $130/$120. Yet I would buy it as well, only if it was thiner. It is too think for me. I would only buy it to take the "Benchmade Pride" because I am in love with that company. Eventually I am into thin pens.

  • nothign wrong with that, there are other oens out there for less you may like more then...fisher in general offer really nice pens in a wide variety of styles and are all affordable...and you get the same quality insert as you with this one...

  • lmao i wonder if there is a gold class benchmade pen..

  • thats a nice pen but i still preferr a cold steel shark ^-^

  • there is a true part in what aberry11 was saying.

Fishers space pen: absolutely same performence(,better looking,)and 100$ cheaper.

  • wow what an expensiive pen...i wouldnt take that to school

  • the 1100 series pens are built for EDC of course but also for defense use. Since you cant take guns and knifes on planes and such, you can use the pen and in impromptu defensive weapon, utilizing pressure point and the overall strength of the pen penetrate skin. Its why the pen and the refills cost so much..

  • yeah but they dont say benchmade, thats the only reason people buy them

  • Benchmade 1150 series pen: Ribbed for her pleasure lol jkjk

    nice looking pen

  • i was thinkin that 2 HIGH FIVE

  • and a women cna carry her makeup in a shoping bag but they still go out and spend thousands of dollars on designer purses dont they, lol...

  • thumbs up

  • This pen is about $100 bucks, the 1100 series pen I've found for about $70. The Fisher cartriges are about $6 plus shipping. I'm in the militray, I can get them on base for about $5.

  • can i buy pay you to get me one?

  • Why the fuck dont you just buy one?

  • did you not just read what he said dick i was seeing if i could get it for less read befor you type

  • i always lose pens so that would not be a good purchase for me : /

  • haha great review as always jeff. Looks liek a great pen. Im hoping for a fisher for a gift in the coming months.

I was just thinking itd be cool to do an annotation at the start saying:

    "Baliyo's are so 08" lol

    Anyways thanks for the review

    Connor

  • I thought that it was one of those impact weapons that look like pens but are realy like for hitting or jabbing an attacker.

  • The ink is not like normal ink, it's more like a sticky gum...

  • where is the blade on this benchmade?

  • Its a pen ... there is no blade...

  • zerbra are goods oens and same insert

  • Not feelin' the $100 pen man, but if you enjoy it then I suppose it was every bit worth it.

  • lol 100$ plus for a pen

  • Theres alot of people saying it costs alot. Meh, you only live once. Might aswell pay alot for your pens now and enjoy them, right :D. Besides I threw together some rough numbers and if I buy one of these, then use it everyday for the rest of my education, it will only cost like 6 cents a day. Cheap as chips. Not to mention it will last much much longer than that.

  • and your paying 100s of dollars for a knife and they have one purpose, to cut, this is just a different purpose , to write, and will probably get used more than a knife if you are in school.

  • That's the thing about pens, you only have to forget it once and it is gone.... it realy isn't worth it if it is over $35 when you can buy like 100 bic cheapies for like $5

  • Yeah, that sort of applies to everything. Losing it once and it;s lost.

  • i saw it and it cost over $120 and the ink cartriges are 20 dollars a piece

  • Comment removed

  • no its a bit more than that, but again its not for everyone...

  • If you can find a 10 pack for a dollar of the same quality, please let me know where. It is all down to what quality pen you would like. If you do not mind a cheap disposible plastic one, then the dollar one is great for you. If you want a pen that lasts the rest of your life, and can be used well as a weapon, get a pen like that one. There are many to chose from.

  • wat do u mean as well as a weapon ? does that mean i can kill somebody with it ????O.o lol

  • you can kill someone with a rock anything can kill someone just might not be pratical..

  • It is designed as a be used as a self defence weapon as well as a pen. the acute point of the back of the pen makes for a good impact. I am sure it is posible, but it would be difficult to actually kill somone with the pen. It is ment to simply stop an attacker.

  • it was a joke dude i know but ya thnks anyways =D

  • such easy listening

  • CUTLERYLOVER ROCKS!

I can't wait until he gets a BM sponsorship.

I am going to be ordering on of these pens, and balisongs, in the future.

  • pretty cool pen!

  • were did you find it for $40 because I am looking to buy one for my dad and I want to get it for as cheap as posible

  • ebay, but erbay prices flux alot over time...right now it looks like they are fetchign about $60..

  • I had this pen, and it worked extreamly well, however it was taken away from me because it was classified as a "weapon"

  • pingpongme is fail troller lol

  • cant blame meh for trying. COURSE YOU CAN XD!

  • Buying American helps support American businesses.

Judging by some of your other comments and grammar, I'd have to guess you are not American. Nothing wrong with that, but ask yourself this: Would you rather see an American business do better than one from your own country? ...or would you rather see the American business crumble under the weight of your country's business, allowing for more job opportunity and wealth for your people?

  • I completely agree...

Heck, I do my weekly grocery shopping at WalMart because it usually totals out to be $25-30 cheaper than at other local places.

Most of what I buy at WalMart every week are consumables or products which don't need a long life... as such, I am willing to forgo some quality for better prices.

For stuff I plan to keep and use for a good long time, I am certainly willing to spend a bit more to buy American, assuming the quality is there.

  • not "wright" its "right"

    ;)

  • the inserts look like parker inserts only the parker insetrs are better and rotate.

Nice review but I'm sticking to my parker frontier that is cheaper and better (imho)

  • that's some ugly pen i wouldn't buy that still nice video as all of ur other work keep it like this ;)

  • another over priced item! so not worth the money for that pen. I still give you 5 stars because I like your reviews ! But thats a piece a crap.

  • Hey, not to be critical, but you spelled "Benchmade" wrong in your description, just letting you know. Your videos are informative, thanks for everything!

  • Love the reviews but, a 11 minute review on a pen?

How can this be 100 bucks? It better write a book and publish it for that much.

  • Some of these pens (especially the 1100) make a great stylus for your PDA or touch screen cell phone, too!

I like these pens a lot, great review!

  • yea, thats the first thing i thought. "what the hell is that, it looks like anal beads"

it looks cool though when opened

  • I'd spend $60 on this before I spend $20 on a Gerber.

  • great video..The Fischer pens are great too.

  • pen looks nice but its kinda expensive, id lose it or something probally though

  • Very beautiful . Ive happent o see alot of people complaining about the price, where you could easily pay over 300 pounds for a good fountain pin

  • hey cutlery lover, ive been wondering for a while now why you would ever need all that self defense stuff you carry? do you have any enemies (probably not) or an insecuirity so it makes you feel safer carrying them? i dont mean to be nosy but ive just been curious about your opinion on them.

  • I think you will find jeff simply carries tools for self defence to be prepared. I.e would you rather have a gun and not need it, or find yourself in a situation where you really gun and dont have one? Same applys to any self defence tool, like a pen/kubotan for instance.

  • I don't understand. You're not making yourself clear.

It's only a pen. How does a pen make one self centred?

98.7% of statistics on the internet are made up. Including this one. I'm not sure how "all" statistics prove that more bad happens than good [if that's what you're trying to say] because polls are not only made for asking if more bad happens than good. I'll bet money that you made up a statistic to prove your non-existent point.

I don't get your point, if any. I am trolling better.

  • is that statistic a real one?

cos it appears to be on the inernet.

  • I highly doubt it.

  • well think about the crime rate in japan (which is extremely low because of the no-guns law) and im sure you will understand where pingpongme is coming from

  • The crime rate is not extremely low because of the no gun policy. Its extremely low because japanese culture is extremely different from many places in the world, and is socially responsible.

  • Not true.

In switzerland, almost every male over 18 is given a SIG 550 assault rifle to defend the country. (Switzerland has a militia force, not a military). So lots of guns and very low crime rates.

    Your theory fails.

  • "Switzerland is one of the world's richest countries, but has remained relatively isolated.

It has none of the social problems associated with gun crime seen in other industrialised countries like drugs or urban deprivation.

Despite the lack of rigid gun laws, firearms are strictly connected to a sense of collective responsibility. From an early age Swiss men and women associate weaponry with being called to defend their country." guns good for the swiss? yes. good for the USA? not necessarily

  • Statistics show a lot of things.

Whatever these vague "bad things" are, they don't happen because of people who carry for the right reasons; they happen because of people who carry for the wrong reasons or because of some form of ignorance.

  • Yes. But I'm not sure if I'm going to run away from some big guy holding a pen any time soon.

  • $60 for a pen? i dont care how good a pen is i will never pay that price

  • Great review! Have you seen The Surefire Pen? That's another great pen for EDC and "tactical" use. I carry mine every day @ work. If you are interested check out my review on it. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work!

  • does it cost $75 for new?

  • a common price is $60 new...

  • not bad if i though i wouldn't loose it.

  • i supose if your into collecting pens or looking for a good reliable pen to last a long time then you could justify that purchase

  • how much?

  • I've been wanting to pick one of these up......just can't stop buying blades long enough to pick it up! Great video as always!

  • thers no plastic on this pen besides the tip of the pocket clip...

  • OOOOO im sorry but you ROCK i luv ur vids!

  • the only plastic on the pen is on the tip of the pocket clip

  • your mom's a plastic pen

  • Whats ur problem GTFO

  • lol i have no problem. what's your problem?

  • 5/5m8

  • I wonder how long it will take the government to outlaw it?

  • wow an almost 12 minute review thats wild

  • Smooth version is the 1155 I believe.

  • I love the fisher cartridges. They write like the ink is WD-40. They're so smooth. It's just something that's really worthwhile. I have the chromed bullet. Maybe someday I'll get a Benchmade pen. As a student who just graduated high school and who has plans to be in school for another 8 years, undergrad and med school, I feel it's a good investment for me to have good pens. It just makes a world of difference for me.

  • thanks for showing how the cap and all that worked i was gonna ask about that 5*

  • heyyyy is somone turning into a pen guy lol jk

  • i like it but the retailprice should have been around 40 bucks from the start.

but again i do like it.

  • Five Stars!!

  • Im really sorry about the statement i issued towards you yesterday! Ive looked at from a different point of view, and I guess its fun to be aware of ones surroundings. Hope you can forgive me?

  • sure, I dont get mad at internet stuff or hold grudges...no problem man, like I said opinion is somethgin you cant argue over really as no one is wrong, its just an opinion...

  • I think they are closer to $60-80

  • ummmmmm

  • Nick, it isn't $15, more like $70 give or take $10.

But jeff, where did you get yours? You said in the vid about $50.

  • awesome! 5 stars

  • Nice pen. but i could never justify paying more than a couple dollars on any pen...

  • That would make an awesome impact weapon

  • That's what its designed for. It is a modified kubaton.

  • Even though I hate people who write first

  • Lol
