  • Lycanthropicasshole

U must be stupid as a lycanthropicasshole. Asd/as people lack social ability and get overdriven senses and have fits but u don't need to take them to the oceans or the stupid thing u said

  • I have just been told i have aspergers any andvice

  • i suspect i may have aspergers. im very interested in physics and have had a hard time making freinds with people. lately i have also been having terrible anxiety. At collage the lights was flickering (the teacher turned them off after 5 mins because i was complaining) and i had an anxiety attack that lasted for 2 1/2 hours. i definitely have sensory problems (although there mild). like pounding (at the time of the sound) and a high pitch but quiet buzz (which i suspect is a sensory overload)

  • good job not everyone is ignorant and self absorbed|!! some comments are just pathetic and sad. Anyway thanks thats a very positive video and its a good way to look at it!! bless :)

  • I know this might sound ignorant, but are there any ideas of how to spread Autism awareness at public schools? I think it will help many.

  • I have Aspergers Syndrome. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that if your looking for hope and inspiration from yourtube your screwed up in the head.

  • @HowToSwagga Idiot.

  • The song is: Beyonce Listen

  • This was a nice video, although I was a bit distracted by the music while trying to read the text.

What is frustrating for me is the lack of information directed at adults with Asperger's. Most of the info is for parents who have children with AS.

I'm currently writing a memoir that highlights the good and bad I have went through as a female Aspergian and hopefully it will help others gain more understanding of Asperger's. I also recommend Look Me in the Eye by John Elder Robison.

  • @janet80218 I read Look Me in the Eye as well! It's a great book, huh?

  • nice. i think YOU are the jerk. this is a young girl who is posting this and i am her mother. you need to watch your mouth.

  • my friend has aspergers and it is a real disease! yes, he has troubles in his life by getting frusturated but he is still just like all of us!

  • Hi there.... Asperger's isn't known as a DISEASE... as a Disease is something that can be passed from person to person. It's a condition that is very real, and does cause many issues in many people lives.

  • @themartelfamily I think the only way it's ever been seen as a disease is that it can be inherited if a parent carries a cetrain trait that can cause offspring to developed Asperger's syndrome, especially if the father is a carrier.

  • @NormbrettaMod this is a young girl posting this and i am her mother. you should watch your mouth ... you have real issues if you can't speak without using nasty language. your mother should wash your mouth out with soap.

  • @stjohnspreschool

I only swear when angry but I need to learn to not do it in any situation or not get angry in the first place.

  • Comment removed

  • @stjohnspreschool guess why he feels like that?

mostly thanks to people like you!

my friends for example made me feel better and capable of doing most other people do... and much more!!

oh, i have autism too btw, its not a disease, its another perception. something the rest of the world can learn from if they werent so freaking close minded!

  • @stjohnspreschool Aspberger's/Autism is no more a disease than being born homosexual or with brown skin.

  • how lame can you get

  • Jesus was a mushroom and Santa Claus was a Siberian eskimo shaman. Ho ho ho.

  • When you don't interact socially with other people your not exposed to the consensus in the way most people are. Over time you wander outside the box that most people believe they are confined to. Are we extraterrestrials that purposely emersed ourselves in a culture alien to us to gather information? Are we highly evolved spiritual entities that know exactly what has to be done to free our minds from the snares lurking in the consensus? All I know is I'm prone to serendipity ;)

  • I have aspergers and I am PROUD! P.S. Gandy is hell if you have autisim!

  • I have aspergers, and I am proud.

  • Do you often realize your dreaming in your dreams? Do you ponder the exact set of circumstances that lead you to realize your dreaming? Do you ponder the significance of waking up in the middle of the odyssey your emersed in? The illusory nature of time, the volatile nature of memories, the placebo effect, the indirect mechanism of the creation and maintenance of your perceived environment. What else can we observe first hand?

  • @DrFishNips Hm let me take a big guess here..bored? Need to say something?

  • I have Aspergers. I am not ashamed of it at all. A person is a person no matter how big or how small.

    Beautiful Video!

  • This is a nice video to promote awareness and parents looking for some information. My son was diagnosed at age 2 1/2 and I look at Youtube as a form of more information.

  • you are narrow minded, i have asperger and do no consider it a "disease" nor does anyone else i know. i find your comments highly offensive. we have no reason to justify ourselves to the likes or you. You clearly cannot think outside the box, and unless something is physical then it seems you believe it desnt exist. you have no idea of the difficulties those on the autistic spectrum face everyday. Its uch more than social awkwardness. i suggest you do some research

  • Please tell me English isn't your first language.

  • Apergers is a diagnoses to establish high functioning Autism, meaning they have Autism but are able to function and establish a life in society. There are neurological tests and brain scans to see a normal brain compared to an abnormal brain and Aspergers clearly shows abnormal brain activity in the frontal lobes of the brain responsible for normal social interaction.

  • Yes, but then again, the creator of aspergers was drunk when he thought it up.

  • @bebigness

No one created Asperger syndrome you fool. Twas always around, since the dawn of humanity.

  • @bebigness Not really, no shock that you don't know so i wont tell you either XD

  • It is so real, and there are plenty of living proof out there. And it's not a disease. It was discovered by a doctor and if he were living today, he would clarify that it isn't a disease.

  • The doctor who discovered it was drunk at the time.

  • I thought it was named after him...

  • Disease? Haha neurotypical is a disease and autism is the cure.

  • Sorry it's spelle Asbergers, I know I hawe it to

  • @magmadragon92

Are you a moron? Trying to correct some body who has it spelled correctly already...Pfft. It's spelled Aspergers but it ocassionally pronounced by some people as Ass burgers or Arse burgers...Offensive but a slight bit humorous I suppose.

  • Being an aspie is like missing a plugin that enables you to communicate properly with other people.

  • Great analogy Svittidiu. When I talk to my friends teenagers with Aspergers, I am aware that they cannot read my feelings or get social cues of how I feel every moment like a normal mind can. So, I pay more attention to them in order to cue them into what I'm thinking in agreement or disagreement with them.

It takes more effort on my part but its worth it. The trade off with Aspies, is that they excel in other areas and skills that a lot of people don't.

  • @truvelocity

    Don't you mean "normal"?

  • I am 19 years old going to be 20 in September and i'm black and i have asperger's syndrome. So far i'm doing pretty good going to school this fall i want to be a asperger's counselor someday.

  • @Nickolaz19

    You're...black...? Erm....I don't know what to say....

  • what???

  • i've asperger's. i'm 23, going on 24 in june. it's actually affecting me more now than it did when i was younger, the more i learn about it. i'm more socially awkward, have little to no friends, and want to achieve my aspirations but am too scared to finish school, so i'm also in a deadend job. it's a challenge.

  • HERE THE SAME!

  • I know what how you feel I doing the same thing.

  • neutralnothing - I completly agree with you, I have Aspergers as well and this video is very depressing, I don't know why everyone looks at the negative things about Aspergers. The only ones who seem to see the positive side of it are the ones who have it! And like you I wouldn't change myself! Change the song that goes with this video, its awful!

  • Jesus Christ listen to some of you people you talk as if aspergers is something to be ashamed of..i have it and i see it as a gift although it can be distressing at times. But on the whole i would not change myself. I hate the way people say ohh aspergers ohh poor you, must be hard for your parents. Well....NO I LIVE WITH IT NOT THEM. people can be so patronising at times it makes me want to be sick.

  • @neutralnothing

Tis both a gift and a burden...

  • My almost 15 yr old son has aspergers syndrome with associated learning difficulties and i wouldn't change him for the world. yes he lives a little differently to mainstream and requires a little more than mainstream but that makes him who he is! on diagnosis we talked an said we loved him for who is is and without the autism he wouldn't be him, he's happy, healthy and stable as a result and if and when he's not we're there to pick him up!

  • My 8 year old was diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder, most likely aspergers at 5 years of age after 4 years of pediatric visits which usually consisted of me telling my pediatrician that something was not right. it took a visit with another md at the same practice for an ear infection for the referal to a neurologist to be made. She saw what my son's doctor could not see. I could not have imagined the struggle that awaited me in getting him therapy or services. It's heartbreaking.

  • connie 9179, could you please give me any advice on how you help your boys? As my boyfriend has asperger's and adhd, and I am sticking by hijm no matter what, but I am desperately trying to understand it more, have you any advice?

  • i have two boys ages 7 and 5 that were diagnosed with aspergers adhd and the little one also has a mood disorder. Its been a rough year but were doing it and i love those boys more then life

  • It is simply time to embrace our differences and diversities. Our children and grandchildren have so much to teach us. It is my prayer that we pay attention and listen. Thank you for this beautiful message. Keep the faith, keep on!!!!

  • I think it is really cool how you said you wouldn't change anything about your son! That is inspirational. ALL kids are gifts from God.

  • their is a kid in my little sister's grade who has asperbergers. He is really smart. He is in my math class. Kids make fun of him ruthlessly and teachers aren't nice to him either. They don't do anything when he gets made fun of or beat up. When we are at lunch I see that boy sitting alone at a table without anyone else there for him to talk to. No one else is at the table he sits at and then when he tries to sit by kids they are mean to him and get him in trouble.

  • I'll give you the inside story of what that kid was probably like: I spent pretty much all of my school-years as a loner, I never sought-out friends as I did not see any reason to do so, NTs tend to be predators who vie for dominance. After my father got a stroke in 97 I had gotten really serious about becomming dependable and self-suficient, which only made me MUCH MORE unsympathetic with the nt population, who seemed to only listen to their crap bands and whatch violence on the television.

  • i am 23 years old and i have aspergers and i know how it feels i write in a blog just to keep from being depressed and feeling differnet then others i dont drive i am scared to do a lot of things well i just want to say you video cool

  • It's very clear from your comment that your a heartless person, and that your just plain ignorant!!

What sort of a comment is that? If you have Asperger's you are not of this world???

  • As a mother I find that highly offensive and just plain RUDE! I would stick to stupid Ashley Tisdale rubbish, as it's clear you know nothing about anything of importance!!! Asperger's is apart of my family life, and many other families through out the world, we deal with more than you could ever imagine, and to be honest I wouldn't change anything about my son!!

  • @themartelfamily I respect how you stand up for your son. (Some parent's wouldn't) It's very hard day to day to care for an autisitc child. As for myself I'm a single mom of 3 kids and my son being autistic. If us parents of autisic kids didn't stick together and fight for our kids who would? We are their voice at times. I love my autistic son!

  • lol, I know it's a serious serious disease, but aspberger's? come on that name is hilarious!

  • It would be to you as u can't even spell the name correctly!!!! says a lot i think!

    Autistic parent of ASPERGERS!

  • I was diagnosed "High Functioning Adult Asperger" 3 years ago. I live in the Boston area. The New England Asperger's Association is very active, and has been a source of support and direction. One thing I learned early is that everyone involved has individual experiences living with Aspergers. I have made my way pretty well in the world. Presently I work as a chauffeur, a job that suits me.I take Remeron-30mg PM, Klonopin 2mg twice daily, Effexor XR 75mg daily. Expensive but it works for me.

  • I don't like the saying God give special children to special parents.

I had a disability since birth dyspraxia, but had 2 diagnose growing up before the right one at age 30+.

There are degrees of each disability

No one effect the some way

  • I don't understand how anyone can use the word retarded and label others retarded but fail to make sense and can't even spell the word stupid correctly.

Autism is not a personality disorder and aspergers is apart of autism as it is on the spectrum.

Stepping away from false media representation will help.

I don't like the word aspergers either. To me it's the same as high functioning autism.

  • offense highly taken idiot. by me and probably a lot of other people who watched this video. you dont have to like it, but don't participate in it then.

  • well.. you dont have to like my kind of view ;)

  • I have asperger syndrome, ive been very recently diagnosed, mi son is on the Autistic Spectrum.

Its strange but im glad..im not an alien! im only have asperger ^^

  • I have Aspergers syndrome, it's very difficult to live with

  • My 18 year old wasn't diagnosed until he was 17. It was a hard time in school for all of us. Great kid though, heart of gold.

  • I have apsergers it ain,t easy

  • I have Aspergers and its easy ^^

    I love having it!!

  • I have Apergers!!!! IT ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • YAH!!! IT ROCKS!! >:D

  • I'm a 14-year old girl with AS, Good video. It's very touching.

  • My son was just diagnosed 4 days ago,he is 7 and very bright, the outside the box thiker always blows me away because he is intersing to listen to,always makes me say...hmmm never thought of that! And I think that's cool.A diagnosis will give more tools to help at school.Never a dull moment with my son,Aspies are pretty cool!

  • im sophie im 12yrs and i have aspergers i did not know till i was 6 or 7 it is very hard to deal with im very bright but i do not have any strength when it comes to been social but i am very very proud to be different even though i get picked on for it !!

  • im a 13-year-old with AS, im happy to be different.

  • I am too!

  • it this showing underneith pokepoke137's comment?

  • Well, AS is positive, aspies such as myself are bright. I got a 97 on a logarithm assignment. Even Einstein was thought to have AS.

  • Don't worry about the negative comments. They have no idea what's like to live with someone with AS. Your video was encouraging to me. I'm a good parent and I'm guessing you are too. That's not the problem. I don't believe we are trying to make excuses for our children, we just want to help them be able to hold down a job, marriage, etc. when they are an adult. There is nothing wrong with that.

  • Come join our new internet group for aspergers, we just made it and we need members!!!! freewebs (dot) com (slash) aspergerkids

  • Cant seem to get on this web-site, want to pass this site on to my grandaughter...it keeps just putting me back on to utube.. help

  • Thank you for this beautiful and encouraging video. I have a 7 yr old with Aspergers and although it is challenging, he has brought me so much joy!

It is so true because God does give special souls to special people.

  • Each to there own!

  • I have a 15 year old son with Aspergers. Thanks for the great video!

  • As long as the young person doesn't have to convince you to believe what they are comfortable with then everything will be fine.

  • my 4yrs old son is getting assessed for aspergers.

  • Let your child be for god's sake. . . My sister was so quick to slap a label on her son at that age. If anything, resort to more social activities, or look at his home environment. . .Certain negative apects can mess up a kid. Read around. . .it sounds like it's (the "disease") being confused with the result of today's media (TV), and a negative house environment. People need to stop perpetuating this thing. Newton, Einstein, Socrates fit the "syptoms". It's a gift. But what do I know. . .

  • You have no idea what you are talking about. Get educated man!

  • You know nothing. It's easy to criticize & not believe in autism/asperger's syndrome when you've never been exposed to it. It's real and it's not a "label". It effects everyone involved. We're not trying to label our children. It's a diagnosis and necessary to provide the "help" (social skills training, OT, speech therapy, etc) that our child needs. Get over yourself. I feel sorry for your sister. These kids have a hard enough time adjusting to everyday life without family being negative.

  • BTW...comment was supposed to link to sentino68...don't know why it didn't work.

    Great video as usual!

  • My son has been diagnosed with autism since age 2. I have really been okay with the fact of the autism itself. There's anxiety about how he'll make a living, but there are more anxieties in some ways about my 'normal' daughter. And he's a joy to be around. What has been hard for me is the pressure from my ex- and the professionals and living in a glass house.

  • My 10yr old has Aspergers. I'm looking for parents that understand what I go through. He is having a hard time in school and making friends. Your video is great.

  • My nephew is asperger too. He is 13 years old

  • I was misdiagnosed with Aspergers.

Now I wonder the world looking for people that do have it and telling them they ruined my life.

All I've had all this time was an anxity disorder that has signs of it.

I was only labeled because my brother and sister have severe autism.

  • It hurts to be labeled whenever it be negative or positive. People at my school think I am smart and to be honest, I hated that. I felt like I am a god to them. They came to me for answers on a test. They also cheated off of me as well.

  • My 8 year old has Asperger's also. It's amazing how many resources are out there. Your video is great.

  • i was told my son was ASD at the age of two then at the age of 4 hes asper. well not told but asked what i thought .and have i ever heard of it ,this was asked by the top doc in wolverhampton / england. was givin phone numbers and booklits to read and sent on my way, now once a year we go to the gem centre built for the children ask the same over and over not offering surpport just that we will see you next year ,

  • With asperger's or not, I plan on being a successful person. Don't give up, parents: A diagnosis is just a diagnosis, and I know that I was created by God just like every other person.

  • My 8 year old was just diagnosed.

  • my son was originally diagnosed with NLD but he was just referred to the center for autistic spectrum disorders at childrens hospital in d.c. for diagnostic clarification because they think he may have aspergers. he is 8 as well.

  • This was a great video. I just found out recently that my 5 yr old has aspergers. My Ex husbands brother has it also. When I told my Ex husband this he was furious saying my son was OK and there was nothing wrong with him. He also said that his mom told him that my son is in now way like his brother. I thought that all children with autisum are different in their own unique way. My friends son is much different from my son and he has aspergers too.

  • Very well made and said.

  • Hi I am aspergers and also work as a Teaching assistant for children with aspergers and ASD's please feel free to contact me

  • as an aspie u have my upmost appreciation.

  • Every movie mad3e by the martel family is simply incredible, and touching on absolutley every level.

  • I love this video I heve autism myself (asperger) and I am love the song that U 've used for this video it cobined whith the images and tekst it make a hart warming video full of hope. the world need to listen to our story's en we will not give up. Let us be what we want to be an help us to accept the world, ourselve and be happy whith who you are, and whith your own unique talents and abilety's (this is for every Autistic person in the world) Love u all IKKE

  • Hey, My friend has a 13 going on 14 year old son that was diognosed with aspergers awhile back and at first it was just a mild case and now its become extreamly severe... Shes looking for help in any way shape or form to know what to do. She has an EXTREAMLY hard time dealing with him... anyways maby you could help her since you have a son with aspergers too.

  • i liked your video it really made me understand how they really feel because i know alot of autistic people and well i have always been so nice because i dont want to upset them and now i understand they wanna be treated like everyone else

  • Lovely to hear from you benedict....I agree the community is growing, day by day... Keep strong, It's a shame you felt the need to remove your video's, as I would have loved to see them. Hugs Rachel x

  • Hi themartelfamily. I am the mum of a newly diagnosed boy of nine and I'm a bit lost. The professionals all sound great and like there's a lot of support out there, but the reality is he and we've had no real input and he's started to be bullied at school. I'd love it if you'd get in contact with me.

  • very good video, it's amazing how big the autism community on youtube is too and with most of them posting videos and i used to but i had to remove them. Oh yeah and if you are wondering who i am then i might as well say. I'm benedict, i'm 15 and i have aspergers and dyspraxia

  • Hiya there David, I use a Imac g5...I use the programme called imovie HD...I am still getting to grips with it. But it's good fun, I just love making video's.. I am kinda addicted!! LOL

  • i used to take concerta it worked wonderful for me, however sideeffects r cvery common. He may also be a little bit grouchy when it's in the inbetween stage, while it is wearing off. I have both aspergers and adhd.

  • truly amazing, as well as any other talk about aspergers video i've seen. you guys rule! I have ASD myself, and i love these kind of videos. I clears things up for me, and makes me feel happy.

  • Hello very nice Video, Thanks for taking time to render all this stuff... (Takes a lot off time), oh! by the way what Video Editing Programme did you use on this Video??
