And Artifact is kick ass with Reflects Glitter in Blackened Red. Sigh...Blackened Red is being discontinued...I'm real tempted to buy a full sized one(I have a baby one from one of the holiday sets now)...how long do the Reflects last?
Actually, the Reflects Glitter is a Pro product. So you could always just call your nearest Pro store (even if it's not in the same state) and order it from there. :) It's only be discontinued from the consumer line. ;)
Great Review & Swatch Test kuuipo1207! Thankx, it really helps when making such an expensive purchase that you have some knowledge of a product, likewise its' quality(ie.,color, staying power, etc).
I haven't had any problems with using the paint pots. They don't have an oily texture to them, but at the same time, they don't dry out the lids. If you have oily lids though, you will want to stay away from the Cream Color Bases. :)
Forgot to mention, the only thing that's kind of a drawback about the paint pots is that they dry quicker than the the paints in the tubes once you put them on. So you kinda have to work it in fast or use a bigger brush like 242 or one of the other shader brushes.
Can you please tell me what the name, of the song and the artist singing it is in your video. I love the sound is awesome ,thanks alot for the video i like it alot and have fun with your goddies!!!!
When u finish off a product, or even if u don't finish it off but know it needs to go cause u've had it for a while, u can take the cases back to MAC, hence the name for the program: Back 2 MAC. For every 6 "containters" u bring in, MAC will give u 1 lipstick. Stores vary though. Some will let u choose between lipsticks, lipglosses and/or eyeshadows. It's their take on helping u to help them take care of the world.
They will then take the old stuff and send them off for recycling. B2M takes back eyeshadow pots, lipstick containers, anything except the boxes the product came in, and I've heard limited edition casings. I think they won't take back pencil products either. Their website has more info on it. And if you're in doubt, call ur local MAC store/counter and they can tell what they take back, and if they have a limit on how much you take back.
BTW, most stores should do this, but some don't realize this fact: When you take stuff B2M, u get a free lipstick of your choice, excluding the Viva Glam products. This is because 100% of the profits for any VG product goes towards AIDS research. So basically, when you buy a VG lipstick, it's like your donating $14 straight to AIDS research. Hence why VG lipsticks are not included in B2M exchanges.
When they dry, they have a creamier feel to them. After doing the swatches on my hand, I let the the swatches dry (which didn't take very long) then tried smudging the paints with my finger about half an hour later. The colors didn't move! And I mean, I was smudging hard to try and get it to move. Nothing. I've also noticed the paints in the tube tend to flake on my lid sometimes, but I have yet to have the paint pots do that.
I'm assuming you mean the paint pots rather than "eyeshadows". They are GREAT as a base and are long lasting in my opinion! They have a more creamy feel to them even after they've dried on your lid, and e/s look great over them! I've tried using Rose pigment over Artifact paint pot--awesome payback colorwise!
I love the lipglasses or whatever they are called now lol btw I dont like the song you chose but it does does go with the video lol oh I also like the paint pots, cant wait to get my psycheck :-)
Paint pots are a new product MAC is coming out with. Bascially they're like the eye paints but they come in a jar form and are much more creamier than the eye paints. After I did this video, I tried smudging the paint on my hands, and it wouldn't budge!! Anyhoo, the pots on the MAC site and they'll actually be out in stores on the 2nd (tomorrow).
Yeah, it's not my favorite song of the moment or anything but I figured, "Hey, why the hell not?" lol. Ad you're welcome. I just wish I could set aside more time to put more video tuts up...hopefully this weekend...
I feel your pain when it comes to finding "true" colors on the site. I loved it when they finally went away from the color patches and went to actual pictures of the products.
excellent vid Iightswitch is my favorite but it is almost impossible to find. I have some of these and would like to get them all.

I don't really use the paint pots all that often, but of the colors I have (which are the only colors in the video here) my favorite is Greenstroke.

Cause if they were, then no money would go toward the AIDS fund since you basically got the lipstick for free. Hope this helped!

I really need to see the methods you use to blend.
