That whole "class" system was just thrown into X-Men Last Stand, it was never in the comic books, so not relevant. And Wolverine's powers, as all other X-Men, pale by comparison. Phoenix could destroy entire star systems with a thought. The powers are god-like, and Last Stand didn't do a good job of depicting just how deep it went.
Also Phoenix was not a split personality of Jeans. It was a separate entity that made a deal with her to use her body as a vessel to experience emotions.
@JunmaiShu I agree. They really missed out on telling a great story and they also really could've upped the visuals. The Phoenix bird, visually, is quite stimulating and really beautiful that one could be awestruck.
They could really hit a home run with an X-Men movie based on "The Dark Phoenix Saga", from Classic X-Men #'s 35-43. The way they just threw it in there as a side story in 3 was a travesty. In fact they'd have to cut a lot out to fit it all into 1 movie. They should make 2 movies out of it. Anyone that watched the 1'st would be fiending to see 2'nd one. It's an amazing story.

jean is dead. phoenix came back from space and brought jean to life, unwillingly. phoenix wanted more. she needed lifeforce from cyclop's cosmic blast. jean grey used her telepathy to weaken the phoenix force while inside. she had wolverine kill her.
This is AWESOME!!! Just watched Wolverine and the Xmen and made it to Episode 26. Watching this and what Jean went through in that series made me appreciate her character more. She was a class 5 mutant, the most powerful next to Magneto, but she seemed innocent on the outside, but powerful on the inside.

It seems Storm never really unleashed her whole powers, she could be a terrible weapon, just like the Phoenix. So even if everybody says that Jean/Phoenix is the most powerful mutant, i think that Storm could be as powerful as her; just remember: Storm is also compared to a godess...
Well see, this is where i'm not sure about because in the comics and the show, Phoenix was the only level 5 ever and Storm was a level 4. When Jean was young her powers were so strong that she had to be kept under control. But thats a good point cuz none of them ever stayed exactly on the same page. Storm was a powerful ass mutant. On the show they had her unleash her full potential and it didn't really seem like much. she's a lot more powerful because she said she was afraid to lose control

Neh...Jean and the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix is just a classic example of Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely. And very well redemption can come from the most unlikliest of places.
O_o though, yes...Jean went full PMS mode on the world and everything around her...do wonder though what a guy would do with the Phoenix essence o.O (Probably be ten times worse, but meh.)

jean is dead. phoenix came back from space and brought jean to life, unwillingly. phoenix wanted more. she needed lifeforce from cyclop's cosmic blast. jean grey used her telepathy to weaken the phoenix force while inside. she had wolverine kill her.

This is AWESOME!!! Just watched Wolverine and the Xmen and made it to Episode 26. Watching this and what Jean went through in that series made me appreciate her character more. She was a class 5 mutant, the most powerful next to Magneto, but she seemed innocent on the outside, but powerful on the inside.

Dark Phoenix was actually just the Phoenix in secret.Jean was placed in a cocoon.After Dark phoenix "died" Jean's clone Madelyne Pryor,created by Mr.Sinister,joined the X-men married Cyclops and had Cable.Then Jean came back.Cyclops dumped Maddie and Maddie went crazy which started the Inferno saga.Ah to be in love as an X-Man.

The costume from the comics should have come to the big screen!Goddeses do not have hang ups about what people think!They do and dress as to what pleases them!
I belive it would have been empowering for Famke and the performance would more intense!

It seems Storm never really unleashed her whole powers, she could be a terrible weapon, just like the Phoenix. So even if everybody says that Jean/Phoenix is the most powerful mutant, i think that Storm could be as powerful as her; just remember: Storm is also compared to a godess...

Well see, this is where i'm not sure about because in the comics and the show, Phoenix was the only level 5 ever and Storm was a level 4. When Jean was young her powers were so strong that she had to be kept under control. But thats a good point cuz none of them ever stayed exactly on the same page. Storm was a powerful ass mutant. On the show they had her unleash her full potential and it didn't really seem like much. she's a lot more powerful because she said she was afraid to lose control
