You gave her such a wonderful life. Through no fault of yours it was too short - so painful to lose an animal you love so much. Thank you for doing what you do to bring awareness about what goes on behind the scenes.
Poor chicken... at least she lived a very happy, albeit short life with you! I'll be vegetarian one day... i just know it. I can give up every type of meat ... besides fish =w="
I have a couple at my family farm, these same kind that are raised for meat. Mine are two years old. Key to it's survival is that you don't feed her a lot of grain or carbs. Have her eat mostly grass around your backyard. Give her only small amounts of grain. Just a few kernels
of corn a day, not more. You will see, she will be ok.
Hi I'm sorry about your loss I also had a broiler and she died at 4 months old of age. To be honest with you I eat meat but I don't agree with the treatment the chickens go through. If it's chicken pork duck ect.. I know I sound like a two face but I'm honest about eating meat. I hope my comment doesn't offend you.
But you DID rescue Belina... She had a far, far better life (and death) than she ever would have without your consideration and care. Thanks so much for spreading the idea that chickens... pigs, cows have interest in their lives and don't wish to die. Aren't we all so glad there is no reason for them to be killed either! :)
