  • Please answer... What type of soldering iron do you use? Can you make a tutorial on how to tin the tip? I have gone through four irons because I can NEVER tin the tip.

  • lmao at 707..drops chip...pwned lol

  • When he drops the chip i almost died laughing!!!!! To much work for me i will use it for parts. Another one bites the dust! Thanks you again Craigslist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what size solder balls are used?

  • I was wondering what you are yousing for the aoyue 968 holder.

I currently have the presto griddle and I've had the aoyue 968 recently sold it and upgraded to aoyue 968A.

  • i did exactly what you did with the exact same equiptment and timing but im getting 0003 what could i be doing wrong. sometimes my chipps popcorn please help

  • @Obsidianangel7 your heating up too fast

  • Do you do the same thing on the motherboard as well?

  • @Pro7Evo you only use the solder wick on the motherboard, not the solder balls or anything

  • A tutorial on how to grill a xbox 360 motherboard =)

  • @TirantVirus a tutorial on how to us a griller to fix an xbox 360 motherboard and as i said in the video this is if you cant find anything else wrong with it, thanks for your comment

  • @TheModificatioNation I know I know ^^ I am just kidding ^^ I have a Xenon motherboard with RROD that I wanted to Jtag, but I need to buy a few things like flux and the wire to remove solder, a heat gun...and a pair of balls to start doing it without ruining it more than it is already

  • Can you please tell me the profile u use to lift the Gpu chip step by step please. thanks

  • the only thing that people want understand that if ur box infected with Rrod probs means thats its one its way to dy !

and i promess you that this guy reflow his box a couple of tmes already !!!!!!!!!!!! so yeah reflow the chips until they die !

    stupid xbox !

  • Nice video, but there are a bunch of unnecessary costs with this method. Especially considering how cheap Xbox's are. All you need to do for most mobos is put some liquid flux under the CPU and GPU and use a heat gun to get the solder to melting point. Then replace the thermal paste. Iv'e fixed countless Xbox's with this method and never had a single problem.

  • Also what kind of flux is that?

  • What do you use to hold the 968? The stand thing?

  • sure all you got to do is pin out the GPU and CPU like a desktop mobo this allows to board to flex with out damaging tested and work 100% but dose require very very good soldering skill and it take about 10 to 20 hour per chip if you want to get it rite i have also redesign my whole cooling system better heat sink copper not alloy for better heat transfer and fans mounted to the heat sink plus build a mount for cpu and gpu the make a 5mm gap between each chip and mobo responds to heat muchbetter

  • @littleohah very interesting, thanks alot for sharing that with us, ill look more into it

  • @TheModificatioNation no problems but there is not alot of info over the web on topic

  • GREAT VIDEO!!! i have a question.

it is possible to install a jasper 65nm cpu and gpu chips into a xenon motherboard?

im asking becoz i purchased an xbox 360 but it is a 2006 model without hdmi. the guy on ebay sell the item as a jasper model. BTW the start sequence is the new one. (the xbox logo animation on startup)

  • @eloyhbermudez No, one of the two (cant remember which one) Has the console id on it, which means it can only go to the original console

  • On my xbox i have 0132 how do you fix that ?

  • ive devoloped a new perminate way of fixing an xbox it can flex all it wants with no sign with out fail ive scraped the crap balling methods and got back to the old methods 1 pins work very well or wire it tested and both work and it cost me £5 or about $10 and 14 hours of work reballing works i have one my self but its like cancer only buys time witch is about a year my one is much better the cpu and gpu are an inch away from board in its own mount and cooling worked now 4 month hardplaying

  • @littleohah would you like to sharethis new (but supposedly old) method

  • hey i tried this and it didnt work how long do it levae it on and are you directly on the chip or how above are yu from the chip please comment or inbox me please

  • what is the ram chips stencil?

  • Can you please make a video on reballing the ram chips? Im getting the 0110 error and I can't get it to go away!!!

  • @TheOmnipotentidiot same procees except you use .45 mm instead of .6 mm solder balls

  • Please make another modding video on how to reflow xbox gpu

  • 2 words: torch lighter...

  • Urrrm your missing a NAND chip there arent you ;D

  • FIRST vid i have found on reballing the Southbrige, i have reflown every other chip on the board and this one, but never reballed this one?

  • wat do u need to reball

  • How much did you get placed for product placement :P

  • @TheModificatioNation I mean from the placement of the "Goo be Gone".

  • when is the gpu video comming homie

  • what type of tip do you use to remove the solder from the chip? a screwdriver tip? orr? and in the part two of this reball/reflow what is the glue you speak of that you apply to the chip before putting the solder balls?

  • @Hallowhead1 i use a chisel tip, also the "glue is the tackty flux, just at that part of the process it is being used as an adhesive

  • @TheModificatioNation alright thanks what soldering iron do you have? i am a weller w60p and i want to purchase a chisel tip but i don't know where to get one do you know where i can get one, or anyone else who is looking at this video? where can you get that tacty flux?

  • where did you get the lamp stand?

  • @probegts4life walmart lol

i bought a lamp and took the lamp part off :)

  • Kid, why are you ruining your parents marble countertop?

  • @dmfdmf3 only place in house that wont catch fire lol

  • Ummm Umm..

  • Ummm

  • Comment removed

  • well from what i heard, your not supposed to use your finger to apply anything on the chip because your skin cells get on it and somehow its bad.

  • @conker1596 thats generally a good rule of thumb unless you are applying thermal compound or a cleaning agent like the goo-gone in the video

  • do u used any Thermocouple

  • @stonelovesound no i wish i had one, i use a infra-red thermometer right now

  • where did u get that blade tip and how many watts is your iron?

  • @paintballermaniac12 the blade tip came with the soldering iro nand i dont know how many watts i use an aoyue 937+ now

  • @TheModificatioNation its 25 watt

  • have you ever lift the gpu or cpu chip

  • @iDonnyi haha i knew someone was gonna say that ahha
