gay brewer is my grandfather. Miss him.

I saw him play several times in the '70s, once at the Sahara Invitational in '77, Sunday round paired with Tom Weiskopf, not near the leaders, looking a bit bored. On one tee he said to Tom "This damn sand seems different every time". Last time I saw him he was riding in a cart at the Baltimore senior tournament at Hobbits, very friendly. Loved his southern drawl. Seemed like a pleasant, satisfied with his life, man. Great player.
