Nice review. I am in the market for a grip. I usually go for Canon branded products, but the price for this is so tempting.
You mention that you needed to add som tape. Am I right in thinking that you added this towards the right of where the battery sits, to kind of "bulk" the inside? So that the white plastic retainer has something to cling onto?
thanks, to this day i haven't had any problems with mine! (minus the taping thing)
so. i think i did what you described.
i just put a small wad of duct tape behind the white battery latch to 'bulk' it out more and make it closer to the battery, so it wouldn't pop out. despite this very minor problem, i still think it was worth it, because it only took 30 seconds to fix and it beat shipping it back to hong kong. hope that helps!
Well, it's just a matter of preference. If you chose to get a Canon brand battery grip it may cost a lot more, but you'll get what you pay for. I just bought my grip for my xsi and it works great and it matches with my canon logo on it. Go Canon!!!
hey you hoe. i did this cause when i was going to buy it, i wanted to learn as much as possible about it. and there was only one review thingy. so up yours! haha.
