@Metallimeister .... Really? There are a lot of ridiculous pedals, yes, but, a pedal gives a much wider array of tone that can bring out a much better sound from the amp that suites your taste. Saying they're a waste of money is silly.
@Metallimeister ? So you could get a really sweet delay out of a good tube amp, not all musicians only like clean and distortion. That's what pedals are for. Also, look up what true bypass is and you'll see that not all pedals "drain your signal".
@xryanjohnsonx Pedals for effects may be another topic but you might aswell buy one multi effects unit and be done with it. There are so many units on the market ex;TC electronic, Digitech, Zoom, line 6
@Metallimeister Another topic? That's the topic we're on. Effects are just different tones. Those multi-effect processor units are too digital for my taste and would deter from a tube amp, the point of a tube amp is to get that analog sound and get away from digital. Most tube amps under a thousand plus dollars are still going to need that boost that you get from a pedal. Keeping it "simple" gets boring.
@Metallimeister There's no need for the preaching. I appreciate simplicity, and I agree that every player should focus on their playing first and foremost. I also agree that a good amp should be the foundation of everyone's rig. However, I disagree that pedals are a waste and I agree with xryanjohnsonx that experimenting with different tones produced by different pedals can be inspiring. There's different distortion sounds out there, not everyone wants just one.
@Metallimeister That's senseless, u have your reason but you put it as the real truth! Imagine every fucking band with the same fucking tone! That's ridiculous.
@GustavoMdeOliveira Everyband would never sound the same. But every band would be better if they spent more time writing better songs and less time playing with pedals.
@Metallimeister No. One amp and one tone is what YOU need, frankly. Christ this is a stupid argument. You're off the mark for many reasons. How about this - You say $100 pedals are a waste of money? I say $2,000 amps are a waste of money. I also say $2,000 guitars are a waste of money. Prove me wrong. You can't.
@guitarguy7480 You have to find a good amp and guitar and the better ones tend to cost more.
My proof is that I've tried/owned cheap amps/pedals and guitars and I sold them all and bought a $2400 amp and my tone is amazing now. Trust me, quality is not cheap. Go try the good stuff out and you should be able to see for yourself.
If you're happy with a bunch of pedals and cheaper gear, hey, great for you.
hey guys, question for you all. i know it is meant to use over a Clean tone to get lots of awsome distortion. but it you use it on the Overdrive setting of an amp, will it give you endless static like an Overdrive pedal gives you over your overdrive amp tone? i know whenever i use an Overdrive Pedal with an already distorted amp, it produces endless fuzz. will this pedal do that, or remain clean?
Sounds Great with that Super OD in front.

Frankly, pedals are a waste of money. Just buy a good tube amp and keep it simple.

@xryanjohnsonx But if you invest in a good amp, you won't need pedals to bring out a wider array of tone.
Also pedals drain your signal so it's best to send a pure signal to the amp.
It's best to save your money and spend it on the great amp at once.

@guitarguy7480 Well, it's your money. You can spend it how you want.
Frankly, 1 great amp and 1 great tone is all you need. In my experience, pedals are just novelty items to buy. Everyone wants a gadget or a gizmo.

These pedals are awesome.

@Metallimeister You must be a great composer then.

@GustavoMdeOliveira I'm a better composer than a pedal fiddler. That's for sure.

@b0njov1 If you're hearing excessive noise or hum, it's because of too much gain.
Reduce the gain/distortion on your amp or the pedal until that goes away.
you'll get noise with any distortion/drive box if the gain is too high.
