Acctually Liverpool were first, we even had Gerry and the Pacemakers sing it before a match. I don't think caltic fans went to a broadway musical then went home and made it there song.

At Anfield before games pop songs were played, and YNWA was a easy sing-a-long which then became a "regular", When they one day did'nt play it, the fans sang it anyway, making it a tradition.
