@sophiemortimore: The NES games will occasionally show up at Nook's or Redd's, or you may find one buried in town, or receive one for a gift on your birthday or Christmas. Some of them are available via codes, and some (including SMB) can't be unlocked without an Action Replay.

@legogirl6499: Some of them can be bought from Crazy Redd, others can be bought from Tom Nook's store. You may run across them in other ways too, but mostly just keep checking Nook's shop every day and Redd's market whenever he's in town.

@MaggieSimpsonX: First you have to mail them to the Farway Museum to be identified and you will get them back in the mail the next day. Then, just take them to Blathers.

@MaggieSimpsonX: When you write a letter, there should be an option to mail to "Museum." If you just started your town, it may not be listed yet. Try talking to Blathers and I think you'll get a letter from the museum the next day. You'll then be able to mail fossils in to be identified.
